I had been going to Pearle for years and was happy until this year. Terrible, terrible mistakes were made in my initial eye exam that led to three solid weeks of eye strain and headaches. The eye doctor handed me the wrong contact lens to put in one of my eyes, and despite my concerns over the lens I was assured it was okay/good enough for now. It was not at all the right lens & I not only experienced pain & discomfort, but I almost hit a pedestrian while driving because I couldnt see from that eye. I was told we would "start over again with a new eye exam" but was only given a contact lens check. In that appointment, we discovered that not one but BOTH eyes had the wrong prescription lenses in them. Despite my patience, they were not able to solve the problem. I went in at least 8 times over 5 weeks to resolve this and each time they failed. During my final attempt to get the right lens, the Operations Manager asked me to put yet another wrong lens in my left eye and was "surprised" I didnt like it because "most people would be grateful for the lens I have in my eye." I wasnt grateful because it wasnt the right contact. Additionally, he assumed I am 40 years old and gave me a lecture about lowering my expectations (thanks but no thanks) and then pointed to my breast & told me I had a piece of lint on my shirt. This was when we were completely alone in a small room in the back of the shop. It wasnt until I got an attorney and my insurance company involved that I finally got a refund. And even that wasnt easy.

EDIT: Pearle has since reached out to me and expressed concern about the experience I had at their location. I was honestly surprised to receive a call within a few hours of posting my original review - the decision to improve my experience was immediate and heartfelt, and I appreciate the fact that this Pearle does listen to their customers! Certainly considering revisiting this location. Ive included my first review below in its original form. . . . While I usually visit the Pearle in Edina, I recently decided to give the Highland location a visit in order to pick out some new glasses and ask a few questions about some coupons Id found online. While I cant speak for the whole staff, the receptionist I dealt with was extremely rude and refused to help with several of my questions (which seemed relatively straightforward to me), such as if the discount would be accepted and if they could access my Pearle prescription from another store. The receptionist interrupted me several times to correct my language - honestly this is more of a common respect issue than one of customer service. I walked out of the store with my questions unanswered, immediately regretting my decision to try the location. Ive been reading a few of the other reviews for this location, and it seems like theyve been struggling with customer service issues for a while. Please read your reviews and change something!

I have been going here for years, but I will now be taking my regular business elsewhere. As OMG said, the staff range from brilliantly helpful to pushy and unethical in trying to get their sales. This last visit was horrible, as the sales person greatly exaggerated the difference of the costs between getting one and two pairs of glasses for my daughter, then she asked by daughter which second pair she would like before I consented (which I was not going to do) to a second pair, basically trying to pit my daughter against me in her sales pitch. I then spent a week trying to speak to the manager about this situation: each time I called, I was told she was out. No one ever asked to take a message--I was always told to call back. When I finally spoke the manager, she clearly sounded like she did not believe me and gave me vacuous business apologies rather than an offer to reduce the cost of the glasses or to connect me with a different sales person. I will be taking my family elsewhere in the future, which is a significant loss of business for Pearle Vision.

Worst customer service experience ever. We stopped by the shop at noon to see if there was any chance of getting in early, stating we have a 4 oclock appointment. Rather than listen and say, "Sorry, the doctor is booked solid." she says, "Wow! Youre really early. You can sit around for four hours and wait." Rude rude rude. We knew it was a long shot and even said that, but no, you gave us attitude. Then, at the appointment, you comment about how new you are and that you dont know what youre doing, "If I screw up, Ill be in trouble." Then when you call to say the glasses are in, you say, "And dont show up at 5 to close. Were not staying open late for you." All of these experiences led to our decision to take our business elsewhere. You lost two new customers.

Went in for an eye exam and new prescription, they offered to fix the side of my glasses as it was crooked, apparently as he tried to bend it back it snapped. I figured it would be an easy fix as I was in a glasses store. They said they could replace it for $40... the guy thought twice about that offer as I gave them a youre kidding me, right? look. So they said they could fix it for free with an adhesive. I got it back and seemed alright. Well turns out it was just taped, no glue or anything and lasted all of 6 hours. So if you want to go to a place thatll break your glasses and not offer a suitable fix or replacement, this is right up your alley.

I had the best experience ever from Tracy at the Highland Pearle Vision location. Its nice to shop at a location where they treat you like a person instead of just another sale. She was very personable, professional, and took the time to explain all of my options to best meet my needs. I went in only with thinking that I needed a pair of sunglasses, but walked out with Sunglasses, regular glasses and a work pair. I never knew that there was a special lens that was meant for just computer! You dont get this kind of service anymore and this is why I will be a customer for life at the Highland Park Pearle!

The staff at Pearle Vision in Highland Park are exceptional! Always kind, knowledgeable and very helpful. Dr. Randgaard is thorough and not only takes the time to explain procedures and recommendations, but is always happy to answer questions and discuss any concerns. Ive recommended Pearle Vision in Highland Park to many friends and family members who are now loyal customers because of the excellent service we receive there!

This was a terrible customer service experience. I usually go to Edinas Pearle Vision (which is GREAT), but this one is a bit closer to where I live. Just not willing to help the customer out at all, I was ready to purchase some contacts, but changed my mind the last minute because of the lack of great customer service. What makes a business shine? CUSTOMER SERVICE. I will not be giving them my business.

I found the staff there to be very helpful and kind. The woman who assisted me helped me find a frame shape that I liked and then showed me frames of that shape in the price range I specified. She told me about all the options I had for the lenses, how much they would cost, and the advantages to getting them and let me decide without any pressure. The price she told me was the exact price I paid.
