Unfortunately, I did not have the same experience almost everyone else had. Maybe the lady was just having a bad day or ready to go to lunch. I had an appointment set up for 11:00 because I could make it from work on my lunch hour. I was 7 mins. late due to traffic and was told that I would have to reschedule for another day. When I asked why she said that she let another patient go ahead of me since I was 7 MINUTES LATE. I do understand that I was the one who was late. But the attitude toward my mishap is what was not appropriate. No matter what mistake the customer makes it is not okay to be snippy or rude. To my understanding at any kind of doctors office they normally have to give you a 30 min grace period before making you reschedule. However, this is obviously not their operating procedure. My business was taken to Sunshine Eye Clinic where the receptionist was very kind and appreciative to have my business.

First off, the office staff is truly helpful and will treat you like youre a friend, often remembering you from even years ago. Dr. Holmes will take as much time with you as you need to explain what is going on. In my case, being examined for optic neuritis and acquired horizontal nystagmus--both confusing and frustrating eye conditions--Dr. Holmes took an hour to show me what my optic nerve looks like and how it functions so I can be knowledgeable when talking to my neurologist. If Im just getting glasses, the staff takes time to make sure youre happy with the glasses and even suggests things that might look good on you. Getting contacts, Dr. Holmes spends time with you to make sure you can get them in and out and how to maintain them. Over all, Ive never had a doctors office in Springfield take as much interest in my health and vision than this office. I recommend them to everyone!

While I like the doctor the staff really let me down today. This was my third and last time going here. When I called to make the appointment I told the lady I had an additional insurance to my usual because my husband now also had vision. She asked for the provider and his social, and told me to bring the card in so they could make a copy. I go there give the lady my new insurance card and appointment goes as usual. Then when its time to pay a different lady tells me she only has one insurance on file. Come to find out they do not take my husbands insurance. So instead of paying 30$ I had to pay 85$, and it took over a hour which caused me to be late to work. Wish they would have verified insurance before appointment like every where else.

I visited this location and ordered some glasses. The pair I received seemed pretty nice. After a couple of weeks, the logo came off the side and a lens fell out. I contacted them about the issue. They said they would call me back within two days. I heard nothing. I called back again and they said they were sorry and they will look into it and call me. Still nothing. I called back and finally talked to the manager. They stated that they dont buy from that distributor anymore and there is nothing they will do. I was told I had a 1 year warranty. They wouldnt do anything. I let him know I was very frustrated. He said he will look into it and call me back. Guess what. No call back. I gave up and just figured I would leave this review.

I have gone to Chesterfield Eye Works for about 10 years now, since it was still in Chesterfield Village. I love the great work Dr. Holmes does and how much care and attention he gives his patients. I even bring my children here and he is just as great with them. I will probably never go anywhere else as long as Dr. Holmes is there. They are also so great to work with me to try to get my glasses done in the same day (as long as Im there pretty early) because I live about 2 hours away and they dont want me to have to drive back up to get my glasses another day.

Dont go here. Being new to the area we looked at reviews for eyeglasses and customer service. We made our appointments and gave the individual our insurance information. Everything was fine, then they call and say they cant take us because the DR we were scheduled with wasnt on our provider list. Didnt rearrange the scheduling for that day to accommodate us with another Dr. until I spoke with office manager. The only excuse we received was the individual was new and didnt know. We received an apology with a justification. Dont use this business.

Ive been going to Chesterfield Eye Works for approximately three years now. The staff are always friendly and very helpful. Dr. Genua is friendly, doesnt rush the visit, and always answers all of my questions. I have gotten both contact lenses and eye glasses here and have had positive experiences. The optical staff is knowledgeable, again very friendly, and they are always willing to take the time to explain the difference between lenses and lens options. I would recommend Chesterfield Eye Works to anyone looking for an optometrist!

EVERYONE was so nice! The Doctor was funny and I felt like I was hanging out with a friend more than a "Professional"...and I hate going to doctors, dentists anything of the kind. Plus, someone helped me find a great fit with out me wandering around guessing at how the glasses looked. She even let me know if the looked bad so I knew she wasnt just there to pad my ego. Im a client for life...or until I have that 20/20 eye transplant.

Dr. Holmes gives a thorough eye exam. I am a returning patient of his and always feel very fortunate that he is my eye doctor. I feel like I am in the best of care at Chesterfield Eye Works and always get expert treatment from my doctor and staff.
