Ive been taking my two cats to Claycomo Animal Hospital for about a year and a half now. Ive thought they were very pleasant until I called today. My cat has had flees for the last week or so and I cant seem to get them cleared up. I called and asked the receptionist if I could talk to someone for a minute regarding if I can give baths after flee treatments and if Im missing something that could kick this battle once and for all and she told me I would need to schedule a visit with the doctor. I explained that my cat has severe anxiety in cars so I try to avoid taking her in unless absolutely necessary and that I simply had a couple quick questions that a vet tech could help me with. She explained that vet techs dont take calls even though I talked to a vet tech in the past regarding a simple question. She then wished me luck in an overly friendly voice. A little shocked I replied, "ummm wow. Ok. Thanks?" And in the same overly friendly voice said, "youre welcome. Call if you need an appointment." The entire belief of this practice is that your pets are a part of your family. When something is going on with your child and you simply need a quick piece of advice there is always a nurse available to answer the question or give a call back. I would expect the primary vet for my two cats to be able to answer a quick question or two in order to solve a health problem when setting up an appointment and driving over isnt necessarily needed. They will not be seeing my cats again.

Dr. Roach and his team are an absolute pleasure. When my fiancee and I moved into our home on N Eugene Field Rd we had no idea wed be in for such a treat!! I knew after my first visit there that wed easily develop a lasting relationship with this clinic. We always begin our appointments with Emily, shes one of the sweetest techs Ive ever had the pleasure of interacting with! You can tell she loves what she does and she truly cares about our pets. She asks how theyre doing every time and she talks to them and just has such a great personality overall. Dr. Roach comes in soon after and he always greets us with the warmest smile! Really, he cares so much and he really does his best to ensure that our pets get relief ASAP. I can ask ANY question and he answers without making me feel silly or wrong. Hes great to work with. We take all of our cats to see him...weve got SIX! Honestly, I cant say enough good things about this place. I love each person we come in contact with. Theyre a loving and caring staff who are here for the animals. I recommend this clinic to EVERYONE! You wont be disappointed.

Dr Roach is amazing. He truly is an animal lover himself. Ive been taking my animals there for years however wanted to share an experience I just had when my 13 year old cat broke her leg. I took her in the first time and she was taken care of with love and compassion by every single member of the staff. They truly loved her. She is pretty special however not everyone has to think so. Money was an issue for me but my baby girl kitty was never treated different due to this. I had to bring her back several times for follow ups to check the cast and have it changed. They didnt charge me for the follow up visits. I dont know many places that would do that. Also had to add they put a bling on her cast once. So cute. I wont go anywhere else!! They followed up on her so many times and it wasnt like they were reading from a script. They are all animal lovers. And the staff told me Dr Roach is als wonderful To work for. Love. Love love everyone here. Cant say enough about the care and compassion my baby girl was given.

Dr. Roach and his staff are amazing people. I cannot begin to thank them enough for the help the provided me with my English Mastiff. I was traveling cross country from coast to coast and then back again. Rubble came down with a terrible hot spot along his neck, back and face as he was not used to the east and mid-west humidity. At 150lbs he is hard to handle when he was in pain and would not let me clean the infection up. after a fight with sedation Dr. Roach and I were able to gas him into a good enough slumber so that we could get the area cleaned up and taken care of. If it was not for his kindness that he showed me I would not have the piece of mind that I have now that my big boy is gonna be just fine for the last leg of our trip back home. I wish there were more vet offices like Claycomo Animal Hospital. Thanks again to Dr. Roach and his wonderful staff.

Claycomo Animal Hospital made the "vet" experience so wonderful for my kitty and I. I had been to many vets in the last few years with my asthmatic cat, and I initially felt nervous coming to Kansas City without knowledge of any vets here. Fortunately, Claycomo animal hospital was the closest, and their help and knowledge blew me away. Dr. Roach made several phone calls directly to me, helped me get an inhaler and medicine at the cheapest rates by buying directly from manufacturers. My cat is doing better than he ever has before. He is happier, has more energy, and is the rambunctious and clumsy cat that he once was.

Elies vet. The receptionist was the sweetest woman, and took to having a pleasant conversation with me while playing and admiring Elie. It took a rather long time (almost 2 hours) for a basic check-up, but they had a few emergencies arrive right before me. The doc (Roach) was helpful, but not terribly thorough for a first check-up. He emphasized teeth cleanings, and offered drugs for Elies incision which I did not really care for. Not sure I will return. Rather expensive - $43 for a check-up! It was a good experience, just not really a good fit.

We have used Claycomo Animal Hospital for several years. They helped us through the saddness of the end of one furry friend. To the current happiness of two crazy canines. Dr. Roach has always been straight forward in his diagnoses. They do offer some preventative options for your pets. It is your decision on whether you want to pursue or not. We have always received follow up calls and Dr. Roach has even called when test results showed some concern. I can honestly wish I had the same attention from my own doctor.

We have been looking for a new vet for our dog. She is a little nervous around men but did very well with Dr. Roach. She has made great progress with the treatment. The other vet we were going to over medicated and was not fairly priced. The staff was excellent. They even called to see how she was doing after her appointment. Well be back. My husband and I were happy and so was our loveable dog.

I came in today with my cat and was told she had many problems. Dr.roach was so patient and kind in giving me all the options, to better suit me financially and my cat, health-wise. He is the best veterinarian I have ever gone to and I agree with al the other reviews - this place is amazing and is definitely worth my 30 min drive!
