RUN away from this dental clinic !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Theyve put in two fillings for me and both spontaneously fell out after a few weeks. The second time it happened I was, then developing symptoms of infection in the tooth without the filling, as they took their own sweet time getting me back in to take a look. In the mean time, despite the fact that I described the developing infection over the phone, offered to come in to be examined, and am a healthcare professional myself, the dentist, just to be sadistic and prove that he didnt have to take suggestions from a patient, refused to order an antibiotic for me.( It generally takes several days just to get anyone there to answer the phone.)As a direct result of the dentist not following clinical standards, apparently to teach me the lesson that patients arent supposed to question him,I had to pay a physician for an office visit, pay another dentist to put in a temporary filling, have a root canal, and later a crown. The alternative would have been to have the tooth completely extracted. If this group of rejects who cant work anywhere except at Jordan Valley Clinic in Springfield, MO, had simply done what they were supposed to in the first place I wouldnt have needed anything except the initial filling. . Patronizing Jordan Valley Dental Clinic MAY save you a little bit of money if youre lucky or it may cost you out the nose! By doing business there youre playing roulette; their staffs screw-ups, their actions that give the appearance of willfully defying clinical standards, and their going up to a week without answering the phone at the dental clinic, ultimately results in customers paying hundreds or even thousands to undo Jordan Valley Dental Clinics damage. Just because theyre the only game in Springfield doesnt mean you have to tolerate abuse and malpractice from them.Any city that has a school of dentistry has a low cost dental clinic. When this outfit starts in with their BS (that is,if they even answer the phone) just say "No" and find a ride to Fayetteville or KC.

Today my 3 year old nephew had a dentist appointment, and the dentist assistant that took us in was very mad, she did not tell her name to us or even want to speak to us. My little nephew has brain damage and had eye surgery a month ago, and the dental assistant was very strict she told my nephew to sit in the chair by him self, and without telling him anything she put the paper thing that goes around your neck, and he started freaking out, i had to explain to him that its okay and she just sat their and didnt say a thing. Then she tried to brush his teeth with one of those tooth brushes that moves and he started screaming and hitting his feet on the bed, she told him in a mean voice stop!!! After that he was screaming and and crying. So i got him and held him, then the dentist assistant came with a tooth brush and without showing it to him or calming him down she tried to brush his teeth. After that i told her to stop and she said whos in charge him or you. Then i told her that he has brain damage and had eye surgery a month ago, and she says and what. Then i tell her can you just look at his teeth and tell us if their healthy she said no i have to brush them and give him an ex ray. I cant believe that she was so mean to him, she didnt care about anything i asked her or told her. Also why in the world would you treat a 3 year old like hes 13, when a was his age all they did is say open your mouth and looked in and they were so positive and caring explaining everything, but she was treating him like he is so much older, and she didnt explain anything to him, she just kept on doing what she was doing!!! She was so rough with him and so rude, we just left and told the front desk that we are never coming back!!! Never let your children go in by themselves to get their check up!

Ok medical services, absolutely horrible administrative services. First, I went to and had an office visit on January 31st, after confirming with my insurance that JVH was covered. I paid a $5 copay and that was the end of it. In typical Health Insurance fashion, just kidding, its not covered. I saw that myself because I learned early on how bad my coverage is and I check after every medical thing I have done. It showed I owed money, but despite calling Jordan Valley a half dozen times and several hours on hold...when I DID get to talk to someone they couldnt tell me if I owed anything or not. Now EIGHT MONTHS later I get a statement. I called them to ask what the hell the deal is and apparently me asking about a payment plan for the future counted as "patient has set up a payment plan" on my records and after that you get sent nothing, its just assumed that you will pay, even though whatever I owed was a mystery to everyone. Oh, and they also had to tack on the threat to send me to collections and damage my credit, even though Ive had no clue the bill existed for almost a year. To add insult to injury my "office visit" was talking with a nurse practitioner, not a doctor, for 15 minutes that basically shrugged and told me they werent sure why I had chest wall pain and to maybe take some over-the-counter Aleve.

This is the most horrible excuse for a medical facility I ever encountered in my whole life. It is poorly run. I have made more than 5 phone calls today as well has another Doctor, trying to get in touch with someone there whether it be a nurse or a Doctor is nearly impossible. Come on people if you cant handle the workload, hire more people. Not only that, there are peoples lives at stake-isnt that what being in the medical field is all about???? On top of having a very urgent situation that requires your family practice doctor to respond immediately you receive one horrible receptionist after another and a 26 minute waiting period each time. They were very rude and it was obvious they hate their job and could not care or less about assisting someone via a simple telephone call. Also very unorganized, as if they are hiring medical students right out of school with no job training. You know whats even worse...? I am not even a patient at this facility-my mother is and I have had to witness this long enough as my mother has become more and more sick. I will be assisting her in finding a different healthcare facility. Seriously..what ever happened to Doctors actually caring-oh yea..its all politics now. Thank you.

This place was amazing, and that takes quite a bit to say considering I went in for a wisdom tooth extraction after biting down on a pebble or something very hard in a cracker. I went in on Saturday 9/17 and they were quick, compassionate, funny, we were cracking jokes, everyone was great. The place was clean, well lit, smelled nice and it all really contrasted with how nervous and ashamed and miserable I felt. The staff was super professional and they let me use my headphones so I didnt have to hear as much. Im not even kidding you, the tooth was out in less than 3 minutes once they got started, because the first song of my playlist hadnt even finished! There was absolutely no pain and I was able to get a prescription and get it at the on site Walgreens after waiting only 10 minutes. I dont recommend cracking your teeth on crackers, but if it happens and you dont have insurance, I definitely recommend checking them out. It was super affordable and super affirming. Id almost say it was pleasant, even! :) Five stars!
