I would give it a -5 review if I could! I went on a sunday night at around 5:30 pm and got out of there at 7:45 in February of 2017. I went to the ER on orders from my primary doctor I had been to her office several times in a matter of weeks and months with an achi pain in my right side of my neck shouder and collarbone with a feeling like something was stuck in my throat with all my lymph nodes very in large on that side as well. my doctor had ran all the test she could with no answers even sent me for an ultrasound on my neck. With no answers just that my lymph nodes are swollen. So with all this happening sense November 2016 and the pain getting a lot worse with a lot more systems she sent me to the ER in hope of getting me the help and answers we need. Unfortunately that is not what happened. The people at the check in desk were very nice and got me check in quickly. I got to a room fairly quickly the doctor got in there shortly after I was in the room, he then asked me to explain everything and I did and told him I had,had an ultrasound a few days before and that my doctor told me to come in. He then told me that he could not see anything thing else in my ultrasound and that he would run some blood tests and gave me pain medis (which was unwanted because they dont help) but nothing further would be done no more test of anykind because I was not in any kind of critical condition so there was nothing for them to do. It was the biggest waste of my time and money that I did not have. They pretty much robbed me. They did the lest they could do to still bill me. I went for help and got told to suck it up. They are just stilling peoples money. On a side note my doctor sent me to another location a few weeks later for a CT scan and x-rays were they found that I have a metallic appearing object in the soft tissue of my neck wich is now going to have to be surgically removed. If they would have just ran the test and looked into it a little further it would have been found 3 months ago. I will never go here again unless I have to !

Waited over 7 hours in the waiting room, even tho I presented w symptoms of having a stroke. The staff at the front desk, were rude and hateful. This Jamaican tech was the worst. He Yelled at and belittled patients. I dont know who he thinks he is, other than a glorified a$$ wiper. I requested my b/p to be rechecked.- after 4 hours of waiting As it was extremely high when they took it upon my arrival. An hour later, they finally quit bing about their love lives, what they were having for dinner, gossiping about the parients.....and took my vitals......there was a man in a wheelchair, he appeared possibly under the influence of something but was not being disrespectful nor disruptive. He stretched his arms out to the side. And yawned real big. 3 security guards were on him immediately using excessive force, one had him by the throat, the other two were way out of line. I had observed this man in the wheelchair for several hours. He was not a problem to anyone! I hope he reads this bc my friend & I watched the entire incident. Id be happy to make a wittness statement to an attorney! Id die b4 ever going back to this clown shop

I would give zero stars if I could. Do not go here if you are looking for help. You will leave just the way you came in with a huge bill to go with it. The staff are rude and smart mouthed, as well as very uncaring!!!! I came in with a very painful, swollen knee that needed the fluid drained off it. After sitting a long while to be seen, I was taken back to a room. Once there, I was given a gown and told to remove my pants for x-rays. Upon doing so, a person came in from X-ray and left the door wide open for everyone to see while she asked me to move into her chair. I had to tell her to shut the door so my lovely gown did not expose my backside to anyone walking by. About that time, the doctor arrives to tell me that after all that time, they would not drain my knee, but would X-ray it. I asked why I had been allowed to sit there all that time for nothing, when the RN who assessed me knew why I was there. I was told I needed to see my doctor, which is where I would have been in the first place if he was available!!!!!! So no help and waiting to see my doctor!!!!! I hate Cox. Very poor service and zero compassion.

I had a terrible experience where I told the check in nurse I felt like I was going to pass out but I also needed to go to the bathroom. They put me in a wheel chair and wheeled me to the door of the bathroom. I went in and continued to get sick ( I ended up having the flu) I passed out and was left in the stall around 30 min before help came. Then once they got me up and in the wheelchair, they push me into the waiting room facing a wall where I could not see the nurses if I needed help. The nurses didnt ask if I was Ok or anything. They left me for another hour unattended. They dont care and my next step is find out what legal options I have. No one should be treated This way. 1 star is way more then they deserve.

I would do 0 stars if i could!! IF you go to the ER and you get DR. Reeves ask for another MD she is horrible. I got sent home to rest come to find out I had a major issue that was not addressed and I had to find out from the other Doctors I had to call that there was an issues!! Worst ER in Springfield do not go here unless you have to try another Hospital. I know I will going forward!

I have never been there, and live halfway across the US in Washington state, apparently last year when someone wrote their name, it was really sloppy, and it resembled my name and the city they wrote down was where I lived 15 years ago from highschool. Now im getting collection calls after this was somehow dubbed to be me, and sent to collections.

Was told at family medical clinic to bring my daughter straight to cox medical center south emergency room. They said they would forward the files and gave me a copy of the x-rays to bring with me. Check-in at the emergency room was slow, got there at 10pm. Still havent been called back and its after 1am.

Horrible service, after being diagnosed by one doctor and returning for the same reasons the following day they told me I was fine... I have documented proof and we ignored and waited over six hours to see a doctor who told me I was fine...

Went in complaining of stroke like symptoms. Ended up just having an A-Typical migraine. Nurses were very kind and were good to keep me company until my mother arrived. Would go back if ever needed to. Hopefully I wont have to though!
