I am so disappointed in Dr. Mara and his staff after being a loyal client and singing his praises for ten years. I think his practice has grown beyond his capacity to pay attention or follow through. Example: I called his cell phone - at his urging since my cat was very ill - FOUR DAYS AGO during an emergency and still have not received a return call. He is working this week, so he should have called by now even if he was not available the night I called him. The cat is dead. Does he know? Does he care? I called his office number today and, despite multiple visits in recent weeks, it was as though they did not know me or my cat and there was no compassion when I mentioned her passing. Needless to say, I asked for copies of my other cats medical records and WILL NEVER RETURN TO DR MARA again. It is sad. I feel like I am losing my cat and my vet in the same week.

I have been bringing my pets to Dr Mara for almost 20 years. He is a very good doctor. His prices have risen just a little but are still very fair. He has taken care of several dogs and cats for me. My one special dog lived to be 18 years old and saw Dr Mara his entire life. I still have 2 dogs left that are 14 years old and have only been with Dr Mara also. He is always on target with a diagnosis. Personally, I dont even believe the person that claimed to have waited four days for a return call. I have never once been in his office and heard anyone complaining about anything. He is a good doctor and I will continue to bring all of my pets to him.

I love this place and it is by far my favorite Vet because of their professional and welcoming staff and the understanding and experience of Dr. Mara. They made us feel right at home and understood the needs of my border collie who typically doesnt enjoy Vet visits and becomes very skittish. I typically get anxiety going to any vet or doctor myself, but I no longer get that when I go here because of how calm and laid back of an atmosphere it is. Would reccomend x100!

My wife and I would like to give a big thanks to Dr. Mara and all the staff at the Central New Hampshire Animal Care we have been clients for many years, With four dogs and two cats many trips are made to the office in the year with nothing but professional care for our animals each time we have a visit. I called to see if they could check out my sick cat, the woman said she wouldnt be able to see her until late the next week- they didnt have time to see a sick cat. Isnt that the whole point of them being a vet? I called another vet, they said they could absolutely see her that day!

My husband and I love Dr. Mara and his staff. More important though, our animals love Dr. Mara and his staff. Not sure if its the free treats or all the love and attention, but they cant get in the office fast enough when we arrive. A truly WONDERFUL vet!

Called for an appointment for my sick dog. Normal office appointment is 44.00 but because I needed an appointment the same day them call them working appointments and they are 68.00. Thanks just wrong. What happened to caring about the pet.
