I am a Board Member of CAPIC CATS and a client of Dr. Martins and Belle Mead . BMAH has always shown the utmost care and concern for our CAPIC rescue cats and for my own dogs and cats which I bring there. As someone who is there many times a week for my rescue cats as we have rescued over 200 kittens in one year and done hundreds of TNRs on adult cats, I can state Belle Mead IS THE BEST. I know these people cause I am there, and the office manager Joni is the nicest, kindest and fairest person I know. If another reviewer had a problem with her dog and being asked to move, the reason is simply this: the dog could get into a fight with another dog, and there are times as an owner you never quite know what a dog may do. So yes I have seen owners asked to move to an area that may be less obtrusive to others so as to protect everyone involved. And I am glad of this. It prevents issues. This is common sense and a smart thing to do. As for Joni disliking lesbians, well I have to really laugh at this because I know for fact there are many lesbian and gay clients, and she has a family member who is gay. So to think someone doesnt like you cause you are gay is a joke. So back on topic: is Belle Mead Doctors, vet and office staff professional? Yes...Have they ever made a mistake with any of our hundreds of pets we have brought there in the past year? That answer is NO. Have they saved many cats when on deaths door? YES. So when I judge where I want to bring my pets I look at the Doctors and there are 5 great Drs. at Belle Mead. The entire staff is caring and wonderful, and right now there are 4 staff members including Dr. Somjen and Chrissi the vet tech, who are fostering CAPIC kittens, by their choice. So yes, they are truly the most competent and caring animal hospital around. Can I highly recommend them? Yes without a doubt because I know our animals are safe and well cared for with the latest equipment and technology.

This is a sad story but i feel I need to share it. We brought our digs to Belle Mead animal hospital forva consultation to have then neutered .a Siberian Husky and a Great Dane. We spoke with Dictor ,we specificlly asked for the owner only. We spoke with tge Dictor he assured us he could definitely handle tge Great Dane we shared our concerns about the difficulties with Great Danes because they need to be tacked because they are so karge if the stomach isnt racked it will hang and possibly sufficate them. However hevwas sure he could handle it .we briught both dogs ..Our Siberian Husky was fine byt 4 days after the surgery our Great Dane healthy and happy at tgecage of 6 months died in ny husbands arms.we called Belke Mead and sooke to the owner he asked us to bring tge dog so he could fo an autopsy free of charge. We didnt realize what a bad ideavtgat was we were devastated by our loss. Anyway ,the Dictor told us our dog died from uncontrolled bleeding and he said she had Hemphilia. Didnt they do bloid work prior to the surgery. We talked to the breeder they told us all the dogs were tested and vaccinated and She did not have Hemiohilia. Again at the time we were heart broken by our loss. We didnt further this. A few years later our husky was lethargic and wouldnt eat. We rushed her to Belle Mead 2 days later a battery of tests and 2100.00 later.Still couldnt find the problem we took her to Red Bank Animal Hosoital they took one look at the ultrasound and said oh yes intestinal blockage. She was in and out of surgery next day . Charge was 1500.00 . We didnt pay Belle Mead because of all the pain and suffering He caused us. He put us in collection ..Even after we just let it go that he killed our Great Dane and almost did the same to our husky.. we will never return nor will we pay that bill . Beware of the unnecessary testing and possible problems that may occur.

Looks like a good hospital and the Dr. Who did TNR was wondeful, but they refuse to put TNR back in the trap they want you to bring a carrier and its impossible to keep a cat in a carrier for 2 days, feed him and keep it clean. I got scratch twice pretty bad trying to slip a plate of food in there. If this was a trap all i have to do is put a wee-wee pad on the floor and sit the trap on it and slightly move the dish with a stick and slip it out the trap door and slip the otherone in. Neathless to say the carriers are very dangerous, these are strays and they will atack you if you get your hands close enough. Ive done over 25 TNR and this is the first time Ive e been tbrough this. So for TNR definitely has to go back in the trap NOT a carrier. I recieved a Message from Dr Martin today about the carrier incident and he also through its a good idea to put them back in tbe trap. I really truly love this hospital. The service in this hospital is great, the staff and the Doctors are caring and know how important these animals are. The hospital is super clean and we really need hospitals like these helping with TNR and not only will I TNR there but I will take my own animals there.

By far, the BEST vet I have been to! The entire staff is professional, caring, and helpful. Dr. Martins has gone above and beyond with my cats; he truly cares about his patients and explains everything to me. I have been going to him for 6 years and he has always been reasonable, addressing concerns and treatment care/prices. I recently moved to PA and have had to visit vets in that area due to my schedule. One of my cats got sick, I took her to the emergency center, where she had biopsy surgery and was diagnosed with small cell lymphoma. I called the PA vet I had been going to for regular visits to discuss treatment and I was very dissatisfied as they would not even talk to me about diagnosis or treatment via phone or anything. I had everything forwarded to Dr. Martins and he called me back, answered all my questions, we discussed treatment and we begin next week, as I prefer to drive to give my four-legged children the best care possible, knowing the staff cares! This is just ONE example; I have many more examples of how he has helped me care for my cats as best possible. Dr. Martins and his staff get my highest recommendation! Thank you for being so great every single time!

I will be eternally grateful to BMAH for saving my dogs life. My dog was bloating through the night and we called first thing in the morning before hours. We were told to come in immediately (before they opened) and upon arrival stated and examined our dog within minutes. Once they examined him, they immediately sent us to a specialist for emergency surgery. If they would have told us to wait the extra hour to see our dog that morning he would have died. We are so grateful and would recommend this team of Vets and Staff to anyone. They truly care. Even the fine details of using pet insurance, they handle the claims for us so we dont have to. I would like to add that our dog has elevated liver numbers and our Dr. Calls to check in every so often to be sure our dog, King, is OK. What vet does that? Amazing!
