Id give Dr. Aleda Cheng a million stars if I could. She is so educated and intuitive when it comes to your animal. She greatly improved my beloved Gizmos last two years with acupuncture treatment. Id give the front office staff negative stars if were allowed. They are extremely rude, uncaring, unprofessional, etc. Being there every other month for two years +, there was never a visit or a phone call that went without an unpleasant interaction with the office staff. This is something I complained about numerous times through surveys and in person. Prices are on the higher side so be prepared. The vet techs were usually nice but The one I had on Gizmos last visit when his health had declined was so cold. Which is horrible when youre faced with the reality of the decisions you need to make. I dont think she respected myself, my mother or my cat. All in all I would go there again for Dr. Cheng but that is it. The environment mostly due to the office staff makes me extremely uncomfortable and will visit my vet at her office. Also for compassion factor- never received a sympathy card after his passing.

Brought my dog in because she wasnt able to fully open her mouth. Dr. Jones didnt run any tests, didnt even fully examine her - she tried to open her mouth and stopped when my dog let out a yelp, and prescribed her Rimadyl even after Id told them that she doesnt react well to the drug (diarrhea and bloody stool). Two days later and shes pooping blood and the issue with her mouth/jaw isnt any better. We called and they told us to pick up medicine for her diarrhea and to start her back on the Rimadyl when the diarrhea is under control. That was the last straw. Booked an appoint with @rockawayah328. The doctor explained all the possible causes then ran a blood test. She ended up testing positive for Lyme, which could have been the cause of her extreme pain. The other possibility is that the Lyme led to an autoimmune disease - the results for that test will come back in the next few days. I will NEVER go to American Animal Hospital ever again, and I suggest you look elsewhere too.

We recently moved to the area and had to find a new vet rather quickly. One of our dogs ended up needing to be seen in a rush. When I called the office first thing in the morning quite upset, Amy was my saving grace. She reassured me that our beloved pet would be just fine. She was able to get us in an hour later just to be sure that she was alright. When the Vet and Tech came in they were extremely nice and again reassured me that my furry girl would be OK. I was concerned that I wouldnt be able to find a Vet that I would like half as much as our last, but I was pleasantly surprised. They were accommodating and helpful as I had my hands full with my infant twins in a large stroller and large dog in their small waiting room. I look forward to going back there for our regular visits with the rest of our pets.

The staff was most of the time professional. However, if they were busy then professionalism went out the window. The veterinarian Dr. Amirillo was unprofessional and uncaring. As a first pet owner he made me more confused going into a doctors visit than coming out of it. He dictated the vet report incorrectly creating a pre-existing condition for our dog and it took weeks of begging to get him to correct it. If it was not corrected it would have effected our dogs insurance for his entire lifetime. I have not tried any other vets in this office therefore, I wouldnt prematurely say all of them are like this. Most likely it was just this doctor. If it wasnt for this Vet. I would still be taking my dog there.

I have read some items about the front of the house staff being unfriendly. Never one time have I come across that. We have had our puppy for 3 months, and due to numerous issues have been to the vet probably 15 times during that span. All of the girls up front, as well as the techs have been phenomenal. Abby loves going into the back to "visit her aunts". Very compassionate and caring. Everyone has a right to their own opinion, but I am not sure where the displeasure with the front desk comes from.

Very disorganized when making an appointment for my dogs then, they did not even keep said appointment, causing me to lose time from work and then reschedule. Also, when I finally brought my dogs to them, they were incredibly greedy, ordering up a plethora of unauthorized testing, for which of course, I had to pay. They continually mixed up my two different dogs medical records including dates of birth and even administered incorrect medication.

We are extremely happy with American Animal hospital!... they are very compassionate and caring. We had been with another vet for a number of years and eventually realized his practice was more about the money and had become very jaded .I thank God we found American Animal hospital!!!.in my eyes they are what a REAL veterinarian group should be...We have been with them for years now and I would never go anywhere else....

My dog/baby Peanut had gone there several times. Everyone and I mean everyone took that extra time with you. It is not just a job, its a passion. Unfortunately Peanut got ill when I was in Hawaii, to take care of my brothers estate. He had passed from alcoholism, so if your reading this it does indeed kill. My 17 year old son was left to care for our pets. Peanut got Ill and was in kidney failure

AAH has the most friendliest accommodating staff you can ask for. Making appointments is always easy and flexible. We have also boarded our 5 month old puppy there for a reasonable price. We are boarding him again this weekend. They are also very helpful with insurance claims and follow up. I would recommend this vet to anyone.

Dr Stockmal is amazing. She is very friendly. She also diagnosed our cat so quickly and treated her efficiently. I was scheduled in the same day because our cat was attacked by an unknown animal. In and out within half an hour. Very quick. Highly recommend.
