I have been here several times recently under the new management, and I can say, having been a patient at Eastern Dental for over 10 years in Laurel Springs, the new directors are doing a great job. Not to get too detailed, but when I was a patient at this office under the previous director, I felt like I was being pressured to get procedures done that I wasnt sure about (or the pricing caused me to hyperventilate), so I would hesitate. The process now is much less scary, no pushiness, and you get a full description of the procedures needed--you can decline or opt for what you wish and take it in stages if necessary. Now, onto my most recent visit: I had to call for an emergency because the left side of my mouth went from being sensitive intermittently a few days ago to throbbing with every heartbeat, to the point I couldnt sleep. I called right as they opened, the receptionist asked if I could come in right away, got there within half an hour, and thought Id be sitting there reading for a few hours trying to ignore the pulsating pain in my jaw. But barely 20 minutes goes by and I get called for x-rays, and then Im sitting in a chair waiting to see whats up. Apparently my wisdom teeth are going to torture me slowly until I get them yanked (next week! yay), and one of the remaining suckers in the back has a lovely hole that is likely infected. Awesome. Dr. Slomovitz gave me a script for penicillin and Motrin, and I was out of there in less than an hour. I was almost in disbelief walking to my car. I really thought Id be there waiting for a last-minute cancellation or someone to take mercy on me after a couple hours. But I sit here, barely 36 hours later, feeling so much better and looking forward to getting these wisdom teeth pulled. Then Ill work on the other stuff, piece by piece, so I dont neglect anything. It isnt worth the pain, trust me. So based on my recent visit this week and visits with my kids, Im very happy with my experiences and would recommend this office to anyone. Going to take my littlest guy here soon to start his dental visits.

So in the last 6 months this place has seriously turned their act around. Based on the reviews here and on Yelp, they have seriously changed their focus towards customer service and care. This may have been the best experience Ie ever had a dentists office. I arrived with just enough time to get in, I filled out all of my paperwork and within 5 minutes they had me inside for my X-rays. The x-ray tech was super nice and very focused on me. Even though I was fine she was super attentive in making sure that I was okay. Then I went to the cleaning chair Dr. Kurek? I cant remember his name but he was super informative. I always ask my dentists questions about my teeth but they never really answer, he actually took the time to explain my dental situation to me, he didnt just look at my mouth and run off like most dentists do. The hygienist, Brandy, was fantastic. She was attentive, kind and sweet. She even gave me eye goggles so my eyes would be protected from the stuff spraying out of my mouth. This place was fantastic, look at the reviews from the last few months, trust me, they are well worth it.

BEWARE! If I could rate this place 0 stars I would. Went to this place at 17 years old, my insurance was going to end once I turned 18. one month before my 18th birthday they claimed I had an ungodly amount of cavities. They drilled away at my teeth, did not seal them up properly, used a color different than my teeth. Less than a year later I had a hole in my front tooth due to their incompetence. Then again, they knew exactly what they were doing to get the insurance money. I was forced to go to another dentist &pay $2000 to fix all the damage they had done to my teeth. When I went to get my dental records &try to complain, the girl at the counter basically told me to complain to corporate - because if you complain there it will never leave the building. Not to mention the main dentist is beyond rude, does not make you feel welcomed &on top of that they schedule everyone for the same time appointment. This place should not be aloud to practice dentistry. Praying on people who do not know better &insurance companies who will pay for whatever they claim you need to have done.

Find another Dentist! Doc V told me I needed to get all this work done on my front teeth. Not only was it unnecessary, it was more expensive than other dentists in the area. She tries to sell you every time you are in there, and it is always more than what is actually needed. It may not be illegal but it sure scam like in nature. If you are stuck going to her, ask a lot of questions and make certain you really need all the work done that she claims you do. I have had several horrible experiences with various dentists there who are more or less incompetent. I have had dentist break teeth, do an extraction where they did not get everything, use less Novocaine... most likely to save money. Needless to say, I found a better dentist who was attentive, and did not try to sell me anything more than what was needed. AVOID Eastern Dental of Laurel Springs at all costs!

Best place Ive ever been to! I got my wisdom tooth taken out here when I was 19 and they were so nice and accomedating when I was having a bad reaction to the medicine prescribed to me. I chipped my tooth about two months ago and when I called they were closing but they took me in anyway and stayed past closing. I dont know why so many people are giving this place negative reviews. They simply do not know how a practice works. So many things can go wrong and take longer than expected, especially since so many people are afraid to go to the dentist in the first place! I get that waiting times are awful but you have to have some patience people! Things take time! Would you prefer them to rush through the procedure and mess up?

Never under an hour wait. Unprofessional, arrogant and unapologetic way to treat patients that sustain your business. Left this place (5 family members) over a year ago for this reason but due to convenient location and with hopes they improved their poor customer service, tried again..... so far an hour waiting and STILL in lobby. Never again.

I have had many bad experiences at dentist since coming to eastern dental l havent had any bad experiences I put off having my tooth taken care for the fear of drilling. Dr Shah and Lynn took the fear away so much so I am not afraid to return. All of the staff is very caring and comforting. Thank you all got removing my fear of dentists.

I have excellent teeth and was told I needed all this work done. I will only go there if I absolutely have to. The dentist I was supposed to see didnt see me, instead I got a dentist I had never seen before. Not crazy about the place but at least I have dental insurance.
