In the end they added false information to my file (which they sent me a copy of)..... I called for a refill of my Rx and was told I needed to make an appointment to come in. The first appointment available to me was almost 3 months away. I explained that I could not wait until that time to have my Rx filled because I would be falling asleep behind the wheel at that point. I was assured the Rx would be filled and I would be able to pick it up later that day. Within minutes I received a call from an irate screaming woman who identified herself as the doctors wife. As she screamed the Dr. took the phone while she continued next to him, while I tried to speak and asked the Dr. if we could speak calmly and clear up what is obviously a misunderstanding. The moment it seemed like I was speaking with someone with a level head she grabbed the phone back and was screaming at me again. I excused myself from the call and hung up. A few minutes later I received a voicemail from the office. It was a woman, sounding calm and identifying herself as the office manager. She explained to the voicemail that their records showed me not to be on my medication as they had no record of filling my Rx and as such I was not following medical advice and they would not offer me care anylonger and would be sending me my records. I have a printout from CVS which shows they had refilled my Rx and the amounts filled. I have not been off my meds and have a new doctor. However, try getting Life Insurance when your medical records say you dont follow doctors orders. This is really upsetting, an uphill battle to try to get this fixed. Oh By The Way, for anyone that is skeptical if reviews work. This doctor is no longer in my plan.

STAY AWAY from Be Well Family Practice. This Drs office is plain old awful. They will do anything possible for you to spend more money than is necessary. Kaufman is the only dr at this practice in which most times it is impossible to see him. He has PAs that will do most of his appointments. I have seen multiple PAs come and go and now I understand why. If you go into his office for some type of testing, they will be sure to never release any information to you over the phone even if you have provided all the necessary answers to HIPAAs proof of identity. They will always make you come back just to hear your results in which you already paid for when you came in the first time. There is no such thing as privacy with your medical records and the Office Manager (his wife). She has no medical background and has read my medical history without my consent. I specifically got into an argument for having to pay twice for my results (1. for going, 2. for reading my results in which I was healthy). In the end she was unprofessional and disconnected the call. The office secretaries will not even allow you to talk to your PA or Dr if you have questions. Needless to say, this practice is only interested in taking your money with little care for their patients.

Stay AWAY from this practice, if you are a patient or even a potential employee. The office manager, who is the doctors wife, is very rude and disrespectful. I learned that they need to hire medical assistants and I decided to apply there before starting medical school. I was interviewed by this rude office manger then she asked me to start coming to the office for an "unpaid" training. She explained that training will take 2 months, 6 days a week (which is completely unnecessary for the tasks you do as an MA). When I asked her what my salary would possibly be after training, she said "I cant tell you now, we have to see after the 2 months if you are good to be fully hired." Later I found out from people who worked as MA in that office before that they make you work for 2 months or so then they would say that we cant pay you. So you either stay as a volunteer or leave!!!!! Thats the kind of treatment you would get at this place. This office manager, by the way, has ZERO medical background yet she pretends that she knows everything! Horrible experience.

I would have given them 0 stars if that was possible. We made an appointment with Dr Kaufman for my older son and younger daughter and when we got to the office we were pushed off to a much less experienced doctor and they lied saying Dr. Kaufman never sees 1st time patients, but my other young son did see Dr. Kaufman on his first wellness visit. More importantly, on todays visit the other child was pushed off to seeing a Physician Assistant!? Who makes a Dr. appt. to see a Physician Assistant. We walked out of the office after them having wasted my time filling out forms. Oh and back to my first visit with my younger son (7 yr old son), they were not able to take his blood pressure they said his arm was too thin. What kind of Dr. office cant take a patients blood pressure? You can be sure I will be calling our insurance company and reporting this. And yes Rivka is very rude and cannot communicate.

All the doctors and PAs in the office are wonderful and caring people HOWEVER the office manager AKA Riva Kaufman should not be allowed to speak to the public. Due to her aggressive money focused ways I will never set foot in that practice again. My copay was waived (unsolicited by me) because they asked me to come in prior to the 3 month limit to get an Rx adjustment and she actually CALLED me during my visit to ensure that I would be paying and to ASK me if I had financial problems! The gall! Her husband Dr. Kaufman was apologetic and nice, she should be kept away from the patients....She is awful

I agree the office manager is a rude, awful person who really needs some medical help with her anger issues towards patients- i suppose you can behave any way you want when you are related to the main pcp of the practice. The doctors are great but the staff always mess up the billing codes so you waste a lot of time. getting prescription refills is also a nightmare and i had to wait a whoe week for them to get back to the pharmacy- basically, dont bother, find another doctor

I most certainly agree with all of the above reviews the office manager is a rude, unprofessional, nasty, truculent person whom should not be allowed to deal with the patients. Dr. Kaufman is an excellent doctor. However, his choice to allow his wife to be the "office manager" was a very bad decision. Renee Brown

Like many other reviewers, I have had the same experience with Reva Kauffman the "office manager" as well as the front desk staff. It really is a shame that Dr. Kauffman does not invest in good employees because he is a great Doctor.
