My husband went and had cataract surgery and lenses replacement. I will say things went well, and we have been going to this eye doctor for many many years.......Now his cataract surgery was covered by his insurance.....there was some out of pocket we had to pay, but the lenses replacement was not covered and was well over 5,000.00 which we paid up front....The billing called our insurance to see what is covered and what we will owe....ok.....so with that they tell us and estimated amount of what we would owe out of pocket and wants the money NOW.....What ....he did not have the surgery yet and the insurance had not been billed yet and you want all this money up front.....Never heard of such a thing....so I said NO I will pay after you file with the insurance and after I get the EOB from the insurance....so I had to argue with them about this...so I get the EOBs and I pay, and then I get a bill and waited for the EOB and I pay....well they did not get that check when my husband went in for a follow up and they sat him in the billing office and demanded payment......he did not know that I already paid the bill, and they did not receive the check yet...he felt like that if he did not pay he would not be seen by the doctor....so he gave them a credit card....OMG.....how dare they make a patient feel like that...so is that how you trap people into paying.....I got the bill 3 weeks ago and just received the EOB last week....and that was our agreement....but I guess the agreement does not apply to the billing department.....I am so aggravated right now.......and I am so done with this office.....we will be changing doctors......

I recently had cataract surgery on both eyes, which went great. It was painless, no complications and now I have 20/20 vision after wearing glasses for over 50 years. I was very apprehensive about this procedure, but Dr. Liegner explained everything that would happen in detail; my lens options, never pressuring me to select something that I did not want. My optometrist had suggested another surgeon in the area, but after thorough research, I went with Dr Liegner, he has been doing these types of surgeries for years and is a very skilled doctor. He has a very efficiently run office with a staff that is top notch, and caring. From my experience, I highly recommend Dr. Liegner and his staff for anyone who may find himself or herself in need of cataract surgery.— Robert M., Newton, NJ

I had my Lasik treatment done here about two weeks ago and couldnt be happier. The office is very nice and the staff is very friendly and helpful. After the consult I emailed them with a question and they got back to me with a very dialed answer. The procedure itself took about 7 minutes from when I laid on the chair to getting up and it was very professional and went very smoothly. To anyone thinking about getting Lasik and is a candidate I would say go for it! Its painless and an easy recovery. I was nervous for many years but decided to finally get it after I saw the results my cousins had who went here and just did it and Im so happy with the results...plus the price was the best around!

My appointment was at 10:30. At 10:35 I was in the exam room having my eyes tested. I was leaving by 11:30. Anyone who has ever gone to the eye doctors in Newton will appreciate the significance of this time line. The office is very modern and attractively decorated. All of the staff were very friendly and took care to explain what they were doing and answered any questions. Dr. Liegner was the cherry on top of the whole experience. He took time to listen to my concerns and to offer appropriate recommendations for follow up. Overall, a very positive experience.

I will highly recommend his office for your eye care as he is in fact a certified licensed FAA (Federal Aviation Flight Surgeon) Medical Doctor...Not just someone who has hung a shingle out and graduated last year.
