Dr. Gentile was right to the point during the consulatation regarding a hydrocele I had. He gave me three options for treatment and I chose the one that would take care of the problem, even though it was a little bit more involved. I like that in a doctor--right to the point--no small talk. I wanted to know what was going to happen and he provided the necessary information. The surgery, my first ever and I am 48, from start to finish was fantastic. The hospital staff were pleasant, caring and attentive. The surgery was quick and painless. I had no pain afterward, which surprised me--so much that I really didnt need pain medication and the stitches healed wonderfully. I strongly recommend Dr. Gentile for this kind of sensitive surgery.

Dr. Gentile was somewhat curt and to the point during our vasectomy consultation, but did deliver all of the information I needed. However, during the actual procedure later that week, I found him to be genial and personable, and answered all of my questions with a detailed sincerity that I found very reassuring. His staff was great when I called with a postop question the next week, getting back to me within 2 hours. If I had to have another vasectomy, I would definitely use this office, and I would highly recommend them to anyone with urological issues.

first you wait about 1 hour beyond the time of appointment; second he does not seem to care; it looks like an assembly line: the nurse waks you to an office, Dr gentile appears for 5 minutes, scribbles some note and leaves; that is it. Gives most patients Uroxatral. Come back in a month. A true assembly line pratice, keep away from it! Dr Alejandro Engel Rochester, NY

Assembly line practice. Seems uninterested, lack of concern on his part. Office staff is rude. Waits of an hour. Constant changing of appointments. I told him 2x where to send prescription,he acknowledged and office sent to wrong pharmacy. Stay away.

Not personally a patient, but he gave my ex a vasectomy without my consent. My ex probably lied to him, which isnt his fault, but gives one reason to re-think policy and procedure!

Dr. Gentile is amazing. He has done thousands of vasectomies (around 8000). He is very personable and far from curt. I dislike most people and I highly recommend him!!
