Spent four days after back surgery. Sadly I will never return to this facility. If the government ran a hospital, this would be it. I am not a complainer nor a nit picker. However, the staff repeatedly missed medications, physical therapy and taking vitals. Often the staff complained about their PTO time being taken because of dwindling profits, but stated the many outside facilities Mission Health was purchasing. This seemed to have hindered the staffs desire to be efficient or caring. On my first walk (48 hrs after spinal surgery) with a physical therapist, I felt I was being way too skeptical, when I thought I sensed she was pushing me to buy the walker, until I said "I dont think I need it", she instantly said "then leave it right there". I was forced to walk without the walker back to my room in pretty intense pain (I said nothing). The walker was "still" in the middle of the hall when I left 2 days later. And she never kept her next two appointments with me. My room was never cleaned, the bedding, which had blood saturated sheets was wiped with a towel, NOT any antiseptic or cleaner. When I arrived after surgery, my wife used a towel to wipe the blood on the floor, she placed it in the shower floor. It remained there for my entire stay. The bathroom was filthy when I arrived, hair on the floor, hair & dirt in the shower and despite a "sanitized ribbon" on the toilet seat, there was dried excrement all over the toilet. The bath was never cleaned my entire stay. Many of the nursing staff always made you feel they were too busy. It prompted me to ask if they were short staffed, they said "not at all". While I believe the staff has knowledge and is capable of being genuine, they have been caught up in a factory oriented system facilitated by Mission Health placing profits over care, efficiency and kindness.

My husband recently had a massive stroke and then a heart attack while in surgery for the stroke. At one point he had 8 different Dr.s involved in his case, but the lead doctor kept everything organized and information coming to me in a logical, informative, way. This in turn allowed me to make well-informed decisions on behalf of my husband. One week later, my husband was home and all but perfect ... if one didnt know of his stroke/heart attack, they might only have noticed that he seemed a little tired. 4 years ago, he broke his arm and rotator cuff in an accident ... and his treatment at Mission for those injuries was equally impeccable. This hospital and its staff are amazing, and their work is as state of the art as any Ive run across in NYC or at UCLA.

I have been a patient at St. Josephs campus twice in recent weeks. I want to give a special thank you to the Rapid Response Team and staff in the Coli units. A special thanks to Taylor, Marjorie, Josh and Geo for their excellent care and Connie for her help. There were others, but I dont remember all names. Thank you to nursing staff on floors 6,8, and 9. All of my care was excellent! Thank you to Dr. Mims, Hospitalist, Dr. Dukowicz and PA DeCosta (( Asheville GI). They took excellent care of me! All departments that served me from radiology, colonoscopy team, ER, dietary and housekeeping were very efficient!

14 March 2014 we were required to make a $561 prepayment for my daughters procedure. Health insurance has reimbursed MH,INC leaving us a credit of $442. Despite numerous calls to 31 October 2014 no refund has been returned. Long hold times. Many promises. We have had a total run around. RUN WORSE THAN A GOVERNMENT HOSPITAL! No stars for administration.

Late medication. Wrong food. Rude, dismissive nurses. And when discharged got to sit downstairs while waited for the ride home. Dr orders were 6 to 8 small meals a day some nurses wouldnt bring soup or anything to covers Dr orders. Worst hospital ever. If it has Mission at the beginning of the name go some where else.

I had an awful experience where a mistake was made with what was wrong with me. I was told it was nothing after visiting the ER twice. Due to the advice of the doctors and staff I sat and let it get worse. It did get bad and I was unable to get treated at this hospital. I became very sick as a result.

I went to St. Joseph campus for my D and C and the staff was awesome. The nurses took great care of me and kept my niece who came with me informed of how I was doing. Linda , Drew, Charlie and all the rest made my stay stress free. Big hugs to you all

Industry led operation that monopolized on the surrounding areas. No compassion or care, just money driven. The VA shows more compassion.
