They seemed more concerned with my credit card than the kitten. My girlfriend and I brought in a kitten we found on the side of the road who had clearly suffered some sort of physical trauma. Upon walking in the assistant took us to a small room and discussed pricing, after being given the go ahead they took temperature, weight, etc, and said the vet would be in shortly. After about ten minutes the assistant returned and took the kitten "to see him in the back." She returned shortly and said the vet would be right in. Another ten minutes later she returned and indicated they had a "serious emergency" and would get to us after they were done with it. Unfortunately after another fifteen minutes the poor kitten lost its struggle. After being in the room for about 40 minutes without seeing the vet she died on the table right in front of us. After the kitten stopped breathing I took her into the back and found the vet walking in from outside and he confirmed that she had passed. I was then asked "Do you want me to perform CPR?" Im genuinely hopeful that if Im ever in a situation that I need CPR the doctor doesnt feel the need to ask first. I know the kitten may have never made it anyway but it is a really terrible feeling knowing that she never got a chance to be treated. In the future I will choose a vet that cares more about the animal than how much they are going to charge me.

My family has been here five or six times over the last few years. We used to rave about it and were so happy with the service and care given to our dogs. Our most recent visits have been less than satisfactory though. The staff they have now is extremely unprofessional, slow, and lacking proper training. We were the only ones there, and while we were taken to a room immediately, we waited a long time to be helped. No one seemed to have answers to anything and had to keep leaving the room to ask someone else. We had three different people helping us and it didnt seem as if any of them communicated with each other because they all seemed to need an explanation of the situation. For a not extremely serious illness, I wish I had just waited until the morning and taken the dog to our regular vet.

I had a very good experience at this clinic. I dont think the prices were that high compared with regular vet for a start. Most vets charge a lot. Lets face it. Also I found the staff compassionate, knowledgeable and capable. They knew what was wrong with my ferret in minutes and when they saw me coming inside with my pet limp and sick, immediatley rushed my ferret in for treatment. They stabilized him so we we could talk about our options and then two vets gave a concuring diagnosis. I was very comfortable with what they did for my ferret although I had to have him euthenized. He had cancer. Everyone was very understanding.

True this is an expensive emergency clinic, but look at the description of this clinic. EMERGENCY! I totally trusted the doctors diagnosis. They were honest up front on the expense of each test and and if they considered it necessary or not. It was my decision to let them test my jack russell for intestine blockage or wait, which in a lot cases can be fatal. I did not feel that they ran any tests that werent necessary. If Raleigh had their regular vets to pull "on Call" duties then so many people wouldnt have to "complain" about the prices of a TRUE emergency clinic.

This place grossly misdiagnosed my cat. We took him in because he was acting strange. They had him for over an hour and blamed his actions on a flea allergy. The next morning he was worse and we took him to our regular vet. They had him for all of 5 minutes before finding a massive and severe blockage and he had to immediately go to the hospital. If we had listened to this emergency place our cat could have died. On top of that, neither of the other 2 places we went to found any signs of fleas at all. Completely unacceptable and will never go there again.

Incredibly expensive...$240 just to take blood test (normal vet would be $30 - $90 at the most), they told us it would just be $30 and then came back with the bill which left us very confused....if you have no choice but to go here, get a copy of any quote and keep it. We ended up spending $800 to learn nothing and then they wanted to keep him over night (which it was already 1am) for another $500. Would have had to come back in 6 hours to check him out to avoid their late check out fees.

The center is a bit pricey, but the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. My dog was bit by a spider. After the first visit they gave him pain meds and sent him home not really able to make a precise diagnosis. I had to bring him back the second day, but they didnt charge to see him again. The wait time is hit or miss depending on who else comes in with more severe emergencies. I would go back if we had another emergency.

My dog was hit by a car the other night - and I give full credit to the staff of After Hours for saving her life. The doctors and assistants not only seem to really know their stuff, but to really really care about their patients and their patients owners. Im very grateful for their quick action, professionalism and sensitivity - which all played a hand in saving her life.

I have been to a lot of vets over the years, and I have never seen a vet as uncompassionate and useless as this place. I turned down their ridiculously expensive blood work and took our dog to a different emergency vet which resolved our issues in a professional, timely manner without the need for blood work.

Nice people, staff seems compassionate about their work but still DUMB expensive. $340.00 for blood work. Wow. Yes its an emergency clinic but still. 340.00? We love our cat to death but we can hardly afford the blood work. Its cheaper to give humans the same treatment -.-

Great experience. Didnt try to talk me into unnecessary treatment or testing, which I really appreciated. Staff and vet were SO kind, attentive, and patient with my many questions. Having a private waiting room with a cozy couch was a huge plus.
