Bought a Groupon and was prompted to set up an appointment online. What came up was Capital Physical Medicine so I made the appointment on it. I got there and told the man who walked in abruptly (actually was the chiropractor) asking me what was I there for. I replied with, I have a 60 minute massage appointment. He told me have a seat, came back in with paperwork. I filled the paperwork out and told him I was done. He told me to come back and there was a chiropractor chair (kind of looks like a massage chair) and electro machine. I told him again when he asked what brought me that I was there for a massage and I have a groupon. He asked me for the groupon number -he wrote it down. Because this was my first time coming here, I had no idea he wasnt going to give a massage. My appointment was a 10 minute electromagnetic efg to my lower back and that was all. Totally not what I paid for and definitely was not an hour. Next day I did a review from some company that emailed me about the Capital Physical Medicine appointment. Ten minutes later, a lady called me yelling about how I didnt make the appointment correctly and the Chiropractor didnt tell her I was there for an appointment. She was also yelling about how the Chiropractor doesnt take Groupons. Okay, well if he doesnt, sure as heck fooled me because I told him several times I had a Groupon for a 60 minute massage and he continued and also asked to see my Groupon Voucher etc and wrote the voucher number down. Not sure why she felt the need to call me and yell about how I, the customer am wrong. Needless to say I contacted Groupon because that was false advertising, bait and switch, and wrong on so many levels. I paid for a 1 hour massage not a 10 minute electromagnetic efg back session. Not to mention Im a vet and have the efg machine at my house so I definitely would not have bought a Groupon for that much money for something I already have. Seems to me that if the masseuse is sharing an office with the chiropractor she needs to keep watch out because clients are being bamboozled and in turn she is missing out on money. Needless to say I will never buy a groupon for this company again in my life and I will tell all my friends about my experience. It is unfortunate I cannot rate the masseuse on her work. This review is nothing against the masseuses work because I did not get to experience the masseuse. However, if there is an advertisement and you share a business with someone you as an owner or partner need to ensure things are clear cut and easy for the customers.

Even with a GPS, its a bit difficult to find because the business is off the street in what looks like a housing complex rather than a business park. There IS a sign with "office park" or something like that, but its on a super busy street, so its hard to slow down and look for such a thing. That being said, I called to let them know I was having trouble, and they were kind enough to send someone out to the street to wave me down. That was going above and beyond! Its on the second floor, and again, I didnt see a sign or anything to direct me; I just knew it was the right building number and it wasnt on the first floor, so....I used process of elimination and located the sign once I got out of the elevator. Once I got in there, everyone was polite, and I didnt have to wait. The room was nicely furnished but a bit old looking. I think dimming the lights earlier might be a good idea. The therapist told me to get undressed in a really bright lit room with a mirror right there, and I admit to feeling a bit self-conscious about my body right before the massage. Better lighting wouldve helped. In addition, the bright light showed sheets that were quite "hairy." Instead of crisp, white sheets like Ive experienced at other places, these were a red color and jersey material. I couldnt tell if the hair was human or animal, but it felt unclean and I considered leaving. I wanted to ask the therapist if the sheets had been changed since the last client, but I didnt want to be rude. So, I just climbed in, and the massage was lovely. The therapist was professional and skilled; pressure was perfect. I would like to meet with her again--just not in this location.

This place would not honor my groupon either. On top of that, when I went onto the website to look at the prices, it said if you have a groupon to contact the owner directly and had a phone number. She did not answer. So I called the office and the phone was answered by a man who just said "hello" and sounded like the last thing he wanted to do was to be there. I had to ask if I had called the right number. I have never called a business where they answered by saying hello and nothing else. I proceeded to schedule my massage, as per the instructions on the website, and he told me, very rudely, that I needed to schedule on the website (they have since changed the instructions on the website). I told him I went to the website and it wanted me to call the phone number. I went onto the website and went to schedule, but they only work a few days a month! I work 70 to 80 hours a week as a paramedic and have a very tight schedule. I could not find anything that would fit my schedule for over 3 months, longer than the groupon allowed. Im not even going to try to go there. If they wont put the effort into talking kindly to potential customers, and stop basically calling them a liar, then I will not waste my precious free time to even give them a chance, I dont expect their service to be any better. By looking at their other reviews, it looks like I dodged a bullet.

Signed up for a groupon massage which was cancelled last minute due to personal family reasons. That happens. The I was offered a very limited number of reschedule times. I took one appointment but had to come back early from a visit in another state AND get up early on a day off AND drive 20 (40 total) miles. Guess what, despite sending me a reminder message two days before my appointment so *I* wouldnt forget it the appointment was never written in the book and some greasy unshaved, mouth full of food, therapist says, Youre not in the book and I already have my appointment here. Its hysterical because the owner manager personal private email address is Narcissus Powers and Narcissus very well fits her-- she isnt ready for a service industry. Shes probably so self absorbed she isnt even aware of the meaning of her laughable name. STAY AWAY. THIS PLACE IS A JOKE. Years ago I had something similar happen, but because the person understood good business, he provided upgrades and other things. It ended up as a good business relationship and I referred numerous people to him. Ms. Narcissus writes back and says Sorry. Write groupon for a refund. Im relieved NOT to get a massage from the greasy man or such a self centered woman. BLECK.
