I wouldnt send my worse enemy here. Coming from myself as a nurse, I watched nurses walk in and out of other patients rooms without hand hygiene. They gave my grandmother injections without gloves or washing their hands, or at the least even using hand sanitizer. Infection control is key, but these fools must have went to nursing school at Dipshit Academy; they didnt know the first thing about nursing. 90% of the responses from a nurse there was, "Well, I dont know." without even bothering to find an answer. They violated HIPAA by giving my any medical information I asked for regarding my grandmother without even asking who I was. I could have been a complete stranger, but whod have known? Not to mention, my grandmother, who has dementia, was sent to an extended care facility without anyone contacting her POA, also discharged her on room air versus the 4 liters of oxygen they started her on in the hospital, not to mention several medication errors. The only bathing she received was from myself during her visits, I had to ask the staff for any person hygiene items because it was not in her room. I myself working in health care field understand how busy it can be, but come on people; at least wash your damn hands or show some compassion for your patients, they want to be there just as much as you do so make their stay worth while. It disgusts me out healthcare has turned into a field where they half ass stabilize their patients and send them on their way to who knows where. I could go on for hours about this putrid health care center, but unfortunately nothing will be done about it, its all about the money anymore. I hope my two cents keeps another person from letting their loved one receive the worst health care service Ive ever witnessed.

If I could rate this hospital a 0. I would. I have tried and tried to give this place the benefit of the doubt, because it is so close to my home, but never again. My 1 year old had a very high fever, so I rushed her to the ER. After 4 hours of being there and nothing happening (they couldnt even cath her or do her bloodwork), they decided to transfer her to Childrens. All the tests Soin was trying to do, were completed in the squad on the way to Childrens by squad staff. Another visit, my daughter ripped a nail off her finger and I needed x rays to make sure she didnt break her finger. Same nurse from previous visit, bandaged her up in the ER, the bandage fell off on the way home. I went into ER for abdominal pain and cramps, bloodwork, x-rays, ultrasounds, couldnt find anything wrong with me and sent me home not once, but THREE times. I later found out I had kidney stones. Finally, the last straw. I was going to have an outpatient surgery here. I figured this would not be the ER staff so I would be in good hands. I never received a call from PAT, like I was told I would. This made me skeptical, so I called the hospital and canceled my surgery. The day the surgery would have taken place, I get a call from the hospital, asking where I am. I inform them that I called a long time ago to cancel the surgery, so that this type of scenario could have been avoided. The next day, the doctors office calls me and asks me why I was a "no show" at my surgery, so Im guessing they never got the message either. A month after when this surgery would have taken place, I get a "get well" card from hospital staff. They clearly do not have it together. DO NOT GO HERE!

I went in with extreme abdominal pain. I was in tears and trying my hardest to not scream. I sat and waited over an hour just to be brought into the ER. We were told there was two people before us, and it wound up to be nearly ten. Fast forward to getting my blood drawn and sitting there answering questions to the nurses, who tell me they are going to get me fluids and morphine. Time passes. We have paged the nurses station five times by this point, and were reassured one would be in asap. Nobody ever came. Doctor comes and goes. Registration comes and goes. I get an ultrasound, more blood drawn, and a catheter to get a urine sample. THREE HOURS passed before a nurse came running in and tells me they are going to get me my morphine and fluids asap. I spent a total of four hours just waiting for pain medication and fluids to help ease my pain. They didnt tell me anything. Didnt answer my questions. Told me to go and see my normal doctor. Which I did. Turns out I had kidney stones, kidney infection, kidney damage, and e coli. All things the hospital could have diagnosed according to my doctor had they taken the time to do so. This is not the first bad experience Ive had here, but it is the closest hospital my insurance covers. But Id rather drive an extra hour or two to go somewhere else and shall from now on. I will NEVER return here.

While I have MUCH to say, I will have to wait to share the majority at a later date. I will share this for the time being though; the staff (physician and RN) we dealt with the night of 11/4 and morning of 11/5/16 are in need of some serious sensitivity training. Upon receiving a phone call at 3:50 in the morning, the RN in charge of my mothers care identified himself then non nonchalantly said, "Your mom passed." As I was in utter shock, it was the middle of the night and this was COMPLETELY unexpected, I confusedly yelled, "What???" To which he repeated without an ounce of care, "Your mom passed." As I cried out in disbelief and said, "I was just there a few hours ago!" he responded with a chuckle. A chuckle!!! This, by far, is the worst possible way ANYONE should ever learn of their loved ones death. I am angry beyond words and outraged at the TOTAL lack of compassion provided. How difficult would it have been to start with a simple, "I am so sorry to have to tell you..."? NEVER in my life will I send another loved one to Soin Medical Center nor will I ever recommend them to ANYONE, not even my worst enemy. I will forever live with the guilt of stupidly leaving my mother alone in their "care."

I was very disappointed with the service here! I brought my 19 year old brother here because he was having severe throat pain and having trouble talking and breathing. The people who checked him in was very nice and considerate. Well, he went to the back by himself and after I went back to check on him, this hospital had my brother sitting in the hall on a bed. How horrible! So when the nurse came to check on him I asked was him sitting in the hall considered a room? and she said yes, we put people here when we dont have any empty rooms , and a couple seconds after she said that another nurse sits a young lady in the room right next to us ! Then nurse Holley says , oh and those rooms are considered trauma rooms, but it doesnt seen like she has any trauma! Are you kidding me??? come on we are not stupid, my husband, who works in a hospital and I start to laugh, because that was a horrible excuse. My brother was discriminated against, for whatever reason, maybe our race or the fact that he didnt have any insurance, but I will make sure this situation doesnt go unhandled!
