I have been to this urgent care three times within the past year - twice with a child, and once took a friend, and all three times was denied care. Saturday I took an 8 year old running a fever and having significant ear pain to been seen for a possible ear infection. There was no receptionist at the desk for the 4 minutes after we arrived, the television volume was turned so loud you had to raise your voice to be heard by the person next to you. When the receptionist arrived back at her desk she did ask if we had been taken care of. But then told us that, "Some doctors here see children but the one working this afternoon doesnt see children." Now, I understand that sometimes children require specialized equipment for proper care but for his problem I knew that all they would need would be a thermometer and and an otoscope - both of which are in every exam room. And an ear infection is a fairly simple diagnosis. It seems strange to me that an Urgent Care, affiliated with a reputable hospital, would refuse to treat a child who wasnt requiring specialized care. They offered me a list of other Urgent Cares that I could text and find out wait times. So...Ive tried three times to get care for either family members or a friend and each time have been politely told to go elsewhere. Theyve been very kind, Ive not had any of the staff be unkind but I would not recommend this Urgent Care unless you call ahead of time to be sure 1. They accept your insurance provider, 2. They have the staff available who are willing to treat the ailment and age of the person needing to be seen.

Walked in today with symptoms of a allergic reaction causing swelling and a rash around my eyes....due to being at a new job and in-between insurance plans I had to pay $100 co-pay, the rest to be billed later. Everyone there from the start was very pleasant and caring especially my nurse practitioner, Jaqueline. Im only posting a somewhat negative review because of my extremely limited and seemingly uncaring interaction with Dr. Duke, who seems to be loved In the other reviews. After bolting into the room during my initial consultation, he said my symptoms were very unusual, failed to ask any questions and only halfway introduced himself as quickly left the room. Id think if my symptoms were so unusual that he wouldve stuck around to examine them....instead it seemed that my cash was already in hand and my health unimportant. Thanks to the rest of the staff for seeing to my needs and giving me the information to hopefully clear up my condition though.

Like another reviewer said, this place really is a hidden gem. First impression was it was so clean, quiet, and quaint. The receptionist was super kind and took my information in a semi-secluded sitting area to get my info (rather than me fill out a form). I was seen within 10 minutes of arriving and the duration of my visit lasted about an hour. This involved an evaluation of my injury, an x-ray, then a discussion about the results. I talked to 5 people in total (seems like a new person for each thing they had to do with me) but everyone was super friendly. I had such a good experience that I felt inclined to write my very first review. I hope to not ever require Urgent care again, but if I do at least I know of a wonderful place to go.

I usually have a good experience when I come here but recently I came here to b treated since my Dr wasnt available. First of all I arrived at 5 something only to leave at 8 they sat me back in a room did not check on me sat there for at least an hour before seing some resident Dr then she leaves and I waited another hour for Dr Duke who shook my hand did not discuss anything about my visit or medicine just go to the pharmacy and pick them up . I was very upset. Because the medicine did not help. This doctor is horrible all they did was just take my money no concern for my condition.

I typically HATE Urgent Care places. My family doctor is out of town and I needed a doctor, so I chose this Christ Hospital location. I could not have been happier. Everyone who we encountered was friendly. The staff even seemed to be enjoying each other - go figure! It was a nice environment to be in, even under the not-so-fun circumstances we were experiencing medically (my 12yo son had to have a boil on the bottom of his foot lanced...ugh). Additionally, it was nicer and cleaner than other Urgent Care facilities Ive used. I would recommend to anyone.

Only one in the lobby window was closed due to office personal in a meeting this was at 1120am. Took twenty minutes till i was able to be checked in due to this meeting. Once in I was placed in a room and waiting another 40min till the doctor even saw me. This visit took way longer than should have and will probably find a different urgent care if I need one in the future. The urgent care in waynesville had me in and out in twenty minutes even with x-rays .

0 out of 10. Very long wait and when I was seen, the Dr. basically told me what I told him was false, which was confusing and aggravating. I have fractured ribs and was having some pain, he told me my pain wasnt from fractured ribs, it was from something else and that I needed more x-rays. I said Ive had 6 x-rays, they say I have displaced fractured ribs, he said, thats not causing your pain...

Refused me and my fiance an urgent visit when she was hurt at work. We were refused service under workers comp and refused again when we asked if we could be billed under our regular insurance. All she needed was antibiotics for an animal bite, but the receptionist told us to go to an ER. No one even looked the wound. The receptionist never even bothered to look away from her computer.

We go to Urgent Care because we arent feeling well. Then, while in the Waiting Room our senses are assaulted by reality TV and the likes of "Dr. Phil" ,who (did you know?) is not a real doctor and who has been roundly criticized by legitimate medical and psychological authorities. Is this the kind of atmosphere we need to be subjected to in an otherwise excellent medical facility?

Horrible customer service the desk attendants didnt even aknowlege me or anyone else upon entering. They were too busy talking with each other....pathetic! Once they did see me they said there was nothing they could do because I had pain in the abdomen. Thats what I was told by the rude reception staff. This isnt typical treatment by Christ Hospital. Fire your desk staff

This place is a hidden gem. I went here for abdominal pain on a Saturday afternoon. They were very professional and courteous and extremely thorough. There was a very short wait (about 10 minutes) and they ran tests right there. I am seldom ill or in need of medical attention, but if you want fast and thorough service, consider this place.

These folks are rockstars. The nurses who checked me in were very efficient and seemed glad to be there to help. Admission and discharge processes were easy and streamlined. James and Dr. McLellan took great care of me and were friendly, very professional and understanding. Five stars for making a really rough day as easy as possible.
