The hospital itself was ok. They work with people on visiting hours. Nurses and care staff were very nice. That ends the good portion. The Dr was the worst I have ever come across! Believe me that is saying something. My husbands doctor was well passed retirement age and acted like he wasnt all there himself. He certainly didnt listen to either of us and spent his time telling us about his life and how good he was. My husband had a extreme adverse reaction to one of the medications this dr prescribed and the dr just shrugged and insisted on continuing it. Another dr switched out his meds. Good? Not so much as the first doctor threw a fit at my husband for not taking this medication. My husband was refused the right to switch doctors. Access seems to be scraping the bottom of the barrel for doctors. Patients frequently acted violent towards other patients to the point of assault. I saw furniture being thrown, glass in a separation window broke, and a wall clock smashed. No this not a joke and some patients can be violent. But there is no separation of patients that have violent backgrounds. My husband was assaulted by another, a woman, who was taken to jail. No division of sexes either. The entrance area was nice but the patient area is very shabby. No way to avoid the wall mounted tv for peace or quiet as it was very loud. You share a room so no way to relax. Do mental health patients really benifit from a tv blaring at them all day?? He was a voluntary patient and they gave us a lot of trouble when he decided this was not a safe place and wanted to leave. Also there was only 1 outside line phone for all the patients and it was limited in hours available. This made talking to your loved one difficult. If another patient wanted to use the phone you had to hang up then and there. A couple of really good staff members could not outweigh the overwhelming negative aspects of this place. Sadly mental health care in Ohio is severely lacking.

At a time in my life when I needed amazing healthcare the most I received the absolute worst. Dr. Patel, Dr. Heirwood, and staff classified me as bipolar strictly from my Facebook and what my parents said about me. Im a grown woman that he wouldnt listen to or take seriously. I requested other doctors and tried actively to be apart of my treatment plan, but was continuously denied. Dr. Patel demanded I take Lithium and other hard core medications and threatened probate court when I refused. I told everyone I wanted to try to control my anxiety and panic attacks with a drug free approach but nobody cared. I saw others being over medicated and unable to think and speak clearly and I didnt want that for myself. Staff seems to keep you in a constant state of confusion and when you speak up for yourself they document you as lashing out. I suffered a bad panic attack on the first few days. I was non violent but pushed to the ground by several people and shot up with God knows what. They used fear and intimidation to scare you into a treatment plan thats even worse long term. They basically held me there for no reason for eleven days tourtuing me to submit to being medicated. Im disgusted places like this treat human beings like caged animals in a science experiment. Please if you care anything about your loved ones dont take them here.

I had a fantastic experience at Access. I was literally moved there from the ICU after a horrible OD. Dr. Misja is hands down the best addiction doctor Ive ever worked with after years of horrible addiction. He and the RNs literally saved my life and got me to a point where I received Vivitrol. From a near death OD in ICU to Vivitrol in 4 weeks with a doctor who absolutely gets it and is honest about his decision making process. Yes, some of the nurses need more experience and could be trained up better but how can I complain when it was Access Hospital alone and Dr. Misja who took me on and helped totally restore my health and family to a point where I could start on a good path again. I owe this place a lot. Thanks Access!

If I could give this place of business below one star, I would. However, it doesnt give you that option. If you would like to receive horrible healthcare, then this is the place for you. The only person on their staff who would bend over backwards to help you is the nurse Anne. Most of the staff is a joke, especially the front desk staff, the doctors like to experiment with your medications to the point you are worse then when you went in. They dont have enough decency to learn the names of their patients instead refer to them as whatever his/her face.... Disrespectful to the max. If you want good healthcare and want to have all your needs met, I strongly urge you to seek other services. This isnt the place for you.

I am posting this review with such great regret but in an effort to share our experience with Dayton Access Hospital. We partnered with the owners of this facility to perform work at this location as well as several of their Columbus properties. We responded promptly and professionally while making many recommendations in their best interest. It was like pulling teeth to get payment for our services. They continually stated the "Doctor" hadnt written checks and so on. After threatening and withholding service we were able to get a partial check for their outstanding balance, but not paid in full. It is very concerning that a business would treat their vendors in this manner. Shame on them! Terri L. Trame

This place is infested with bed bugs. (Check the pictures) I worked there for 4 months and watched as administrators and maintance allowed clients all over the hospital to be eaten alive by bedbugs. As staff Id regularly call to request extermination but they continue to use Walmart brand pesticides. My breaking point was when I was bitten by a bedbug while working at the desk and was told by administration that they would not be responsible if I took them home with me. Clients are court mandated to be there and have to choose between jail and being eaten alive, covered in bites to receive treatment. It needs to be shut down. Ill be contacting the media because this is just DISGUSTING!

I would give this place a negative. It was disgusting!! MICE! running around dining/visiting area. Cockroaches in public bathroom. My son was admitted here. The nurses would not give information even with Hippa. They with held messages. Denied phone at times due to not wanting to deal with everyone start asking for it.

My caseworker, Nurse, and therapist is the best. They have literally saved my life even though I had to give up a career of 21 years, my life is so much better. I maybe broke but I am safe, stable, and ok with my life now. My Doctor is ok too just wish he would talk to me more about what is going on in my life.
