Owning a pet, Ive come to find out, is a lot like being a parent. As a first time dog owner (and long time cat owner) and mother of four, I have become very protective of my pets. Tremont Animal Clinic made the experience of taking my pets to the vet comfortable for all of us. Pros- *Lots of places in Tremont are a pain to park near. I dont mind a walk, but with a dog on a leash and a cat in a carrier, I appreciated the convenience. Thankfully, there is a parking lot directly behind the building with a back door leading right to the lobby. *The clinic itself is in a lovely old brick building, but new as can be on the inside. Its clear they put a lot of thought into the inside. Im an art teacher so I like the colorful walls and funky Cleveland artwork on the inside. *I waited for a few minutes in the lobby, then was led into a sunny exam room with big windows overlooking W. 14th street. My two youngest kids had come along and had a great time watching the traffic go by. *Great staff all around- I had Dr. Sara, who was literally on the floor cuddling with my dog, Jiggs while she did the exam. He got 4 shots and a rectal exam and he thought he was having a play date with some cute lady instead. Its comforting to see how much the staff really likes animals here. *The best part was when I received an email the next day with a summary of the visit and copies of the vaccinations they had gotten. Its nice to know that if I need to show his rabies vaccine certificate, for example, I dont have to hunt through my "important" stack of papers under the bed. Cons: * The parking lot is a little small and gravel. The day I went there were mountains of snow from the most recent snowmageddon which resulted in even fewer parking spots. But I squeezed in and had no more than 25 steps from my car to the door. Not too bad for Tremont. * A bit far for me (I actually live on the far East side) but had heard from a friend that these guys were great and the clinic was easy to get to right off the highway. Its right up the hill from Steelyard Commons and the stores beckoned me, but I had critters in the car so I drove on home.

Dr Bob is the best! So grateful for his genuine compassion and love for animals. weve been here multiple times with our animals. the most recent was my Moms cat who we had to take to another clinic because we couldnt get an appt with Dr Bob for about 9 days. The cat was not eating or urinating and breathing very heavily and labored. the other clinics vet took xrays and said his lungs were full of fluid and to try and extract the fluid with a needle would be dangerous and the fluid would just return in a day or so. She said take him home and love him, youll know when its time to put him to sleep" We were heartbroken, the cat was breathing very heavily and we had no hope. As fate would have it my Mom kept the original appt with Dr Bob (her cat survived until that appt!!) we took him to Dr Bob and brought the xrays from the other clinic. Bob confirmed the cat was filled with fluid and basically suffocating. He gave him a diuretic and lo and behold my Moms cat started urinating in his box that night. He slowly got better and better. Bob gave him an appetite inducer, as well and her cat i eating, gaining weight and today, almost a month after we were told he wouldnt last more than a few days, her cat is completely transformed and is doing GREAT!!! A miracle?...maybe, or just a vet who really loves what he does, cares and knows hat hes doing! were so grateful!

My cats needed dental work done (at least 2 of the 4) and our local vet was quote an stupid amount of money. I dont mind paying for my animals but I do mind getting ripped off. I did research and found the Tremont Animal Clinic got some decent review (4.8 out of 5) and they also accept appointments. I took my one cat to see how badly her teeth were (based on the info from the previous vet) and was told it wasnt so bad. I then brought my 2nd cat knowing that something was wrong with her teeth (started to get snaggle tooth) and they confirmed hers was bad. They quoted me a high price (just in case teeth needed to be removed) yet the price was still lower than my previous vet. I also like the option to get blood work done instead of being forced to. Although I paid for it (Stella hasnt been to the vet in awhile), I dont like the focing bloodwork on a pet that is in dire need of surgery if they will die without it! Aggghhh that is frustrating. Although I will go to my old vet for anal express crap, I will use this vet for my serious/complicated issues. Thanks for taking care of my pets!

Having moved several times around Ohio, trying many vets for my cats, I feel that this was truly one of the better vets. The place was clean and welcoming. At a time, there were between 0-4 patients waiting, which was wonderful. It is a mess when 7+ animals are crammed into an area, and this was not the case. The staff was friendly and efficient, and it seemed clear to me that they were there to care for pets. The vet was super friendly and kind, and very patient. Our cat, Noodle, is super aggressive and terrible with strangers, but they were patient and kind. For a drop-off sedation and exam, she was ready in a few hours-- which was awesome. Ive waited an entire business day for a simple vaccination before. Will be back with our other kitty! :)

Tremont Animal Clinic is the only place I take my dog and cat. Ive been bringing my pets to Dr. Bob for almost 30 years, following him from the clinic at the Cleveland APL, to Gateway, and now to TAC. He possesses the perfect combination of compassion, knowledge, and intuition which make an excellent health care provider, whatever species the patient. Once we had an emergency and Dr. Bob wasnt in; I was very pleased with the care my animal received from Dr. Sarah. My daughter had a similar experience when her dog had an urgent problem: The newest team member, Dr. Max (?), gave Gia the wonderful care we are used to from Dr. Bob. Tremont Animal Clinic is uniformly the best vet care in Cleveland, whichever doctor you choose.

I adore this place. Dr Katie is solely responsible for saving my kitty and I owe her everything for it. She went out of her way to get us in with specialists asap, called me as soon as results were in, and obviously made it a top priority to make sure we were doing everything to keep my girl alive. I couldnt be more thankful. We recently moved further west and we took my new puppy to another highly reputable vet minutes away from my house. There was no comparison. Ill be driving the extra 35 minutes to have my puppy seen by Dr Katie and the rest of the doctors at Tremont from here on out. They are the best vet group Ive been to in the past 10 years. Thank you Tremont Animal Clinic!!
