Dr. Sears misdiagnosed ear mites in my cat for ears (kept telling us to just clean his ears regularly) and prescribed antibiotics for my dogs auto immune problem (luckily we went to the OSU vet when we realized the antibiotics werent helping.) Im glad hes been able to help other pets, but my family no longer takes any of our pets to this vet. Updating this review! So I have to admit, I dont actually have control over my family. When my sister wanted to take the elderly cat (the one who had ear mites for years until a different vet recognized and treated them properly) I couldnt actually do more than strongly suggest she go else where. I neednt have worried though, because even though they were happy enough to schedule a visit for the cat I guess they realized after the fact "Oh no! This cat belongs to that lady who said mean things about us on the internet! and instead of calling her back to say they wouldnt see the cat, WAITED for her to show up before saying anything! Because obviously, this great staff is not only very organized with their record keeping, but also incredibly sadistic, letting this elderly cat make a completely preventable STRESSFUL trip! So while I still cant control what my family does, Great Southern has made sure, they wont go here again!

I have had many dogs and been to different veterinarians. Dr. Sears is the most knowledgeable and nicest vet I have ever known. He is top notch. He cares about his patients and the owners. His prices are reasonable for the office visits and the other things you would need to buy there. I would have questions where I would call and ask the staff and he would personally call me back to answer the questions. I would ask about doing a certain test and he would tell me he recommended a different kind of test that maybe he does not even do. I no longer live in Ohio and I really miss taking my dogs to see him because he is really a great veterinarian..

Dr. Sears and all his staff are always so caring. They always call and check to see how my dog is doing. They accommodate for urgent visits by getting him in as soon as possible. They always explain what is wrong and how to best help my dog. It is obvious that their number one priority is their animal patients and their owners. They are the best I have every been to, and I drive 30 min now to still come to Dr. Sears. I trust him 100% with my dogs health. I highly recommend them to everyone! Also, their prices are very reasonable and the care they give is priceless so it is a very valuable service to me and my pet.

BEST VET IN TOWN!!!! We recently got a new puppy and I was looking for a new vet. RIght from the start I knew that I made the right choice by going here! The staff is awesome...they are super friendly and very helpful. You can tell that the staff are there because they have a love of animals and truly want to help. The doctor was great and very knowledgeable, and super friendly. I do not usually write reviews but felt like I really need to about these guys. If you are looking for a vet for your animal this is the place to go!!!

Dr. Sears was excellent in helping us when we first adopted our puppy. He took time to explain everything and had wonderful suggestions for how to deal with puppy behavior. He, along with his staff, never made us feel silly or unfit as "puppy parents." We unfortunately had to find a different vet because of distance and work schedules but we are truly grateful for all of their help and services in helping with our new pup. I highly recommend Great Southern Animal Hospital to anyone searching for a great vet and friendly staff!

I was referred to Great Southern Animal Hospital and thought one day I would go. My dog was itching non-stop for 2 days and so I decided to take him in. I did not have an appointment so I called and they got me right in 30 minutes later. Dr. Sears was so good do my dog. The whole entire staff from walk in to walk out was AWESOME! Caring and so kind. I just bought a house near there and that will be my vet from now on! I highly recommend Dr. Sears (Great Southern Animal Hospital)!

When I was a kid my parents used this Hospital to take care of all of our animals, this is the best animal hospital ever! They take really good care of your animals. My Sassie Rae, Tiggie Poo and Lucky Rabbit too loves their staff. They really take time to answer your all your questions. They really go out of there way to make sure your family pet is safe and comfy. I would recommend this place to everyone. Thanks to the staff for your love & dedication.

They are very friendly, and now how to make you feel so comfortable bringing your fur babys here, and knowing they are in great hands. Dr Sears and his staff are fabulous! They are always available for last minute emergeny appointments and are studious in following up after appointments. Their fees are always less than the surrounding vets. The care they take with our dog assures us that they he is getting the best care and attention possible. We highly recommend Great Southern Animal Hospital.

Dr. Sears and staff are wonderful. Ive been taking my dog there for three years now and each visit is pleasant. Ive been to other vets, that didnt really seem all that into the animal, as if they were just another patient. Dr. Sears actually cares. Each time i take my dog he gets down and greets her. I would recommend Dr. Sears to anyone looking for a vet.

Weve been taking our dogs to Dr. Sears since we adopted our first in 2010. We have moved around the city three times since then, and we will continue to take our dogs there. The staff is friendly, Dr. Sears is very thorough in explaining things and he always makes sure our dogs are comfortable before beginning anything.
