I like Dr. Bierly but for me its the staff that makes the experience since you have more face time with them. I received my new glasses and immediately could tell that the prescription was wrong, I told the assistance in the office and they said I just needed to get used to it. I waited a day and called them back, advised that it was still wrong and they told me I needed to give it a week. After a week I called them back and let them know it was still wrong. I went back into the office and they were extremely rude to me, they checked the paperwork in front of me and said my prescription is correct. I had to insist on seeing the eye doctor for which they had to reschedule me since he wasnt in the office, which upset me because I was scheduled to come in. Once I finally saw the doctor he tested the glasses and the prescription was wrong and they had to send my glasses back to Davis vision to put in new lenses. The new glasses came in and the prescription was fine but the glasses didnt fit right, his staff was very rude about fitting my glasses and they never fit right, the glasses ended up breaking and they had to order new frames. After the new frames came in they still werent able to fit the frames correctly and I advised them that I would just go to someone else. I went to another optometrist office to have them fit my glasses and they told me that my glasses were extremely off and needed to make some large adjustments to my glasses in order to get them to fit correctly. Eventually those glasses ended up breaking too. Im not violet with glasses, I usually keep glasses for 2-3 years with no issues. I bought fairly expensive frames that fell apart twice, they order poor quality frames. I will never return to this office.

Never been to the eye Dr. before. when the Dr. was performing the tests and exams he treated me like a lab rat. He kept testing my vision through different lenses and asking me if one looked better or worse than the others. Honestly, some of them looked the same, and when I tried to explain that to him he cut me off and asked again "better or worse". Very rude. He explained my condition and made me wear a hard contact lens in my bad eye, which was very irritating. Then he made me sit there for about 1/2 hr while he dealt with another patient. When he came back I told him of the discomfort and he stated it was normal. Before they could let me go, they wanted me to put hard contact lenses in BOTH eyes, even though I only had problems with one. So with blurred vision and an uncomfortable contact lens in one eye, they sat me down in front of a large magnified vanity mirror and tried to get me to put another contact lens into my good eye. All while the bad one was severely irritated from the hard lens already in it. After several failed attempts, and the contact lens practically falling in between my eye and eye socket I had to leave due to the mounting frustration. I removed both lenses and walked out. Then they had the nerve to call me up and threaten to charge me for the contact lenses that I didnt take with me! I looked the condition up on the web, and found out that soft lenses are an option. Im going to get a second opinion. If you like being rushed through an eye exam and treated like an animal, this is your place.

No communication. Didnt talk with me or ask what I was in for. Nothing. Walked me through the standard tests and told me I didnt even need glasses since Im getting Lasik soon anyways (which I just happened to mention while trying to make some conversation). Would have been nice to talk about this stuff before they fitted me for contacts without even asking. Charged me for the fitting and said have a good day. What the hell just happened???? I had no idea what they were doing while they were doing it, let alone that my insurance didnt cover it. I wasnt even there for contacts and thats what they gave me. I dont even think my prescription came out right. These contacts feel weird and I didnt even get a chance to say anything. Weirdest crap thats ever happened to me. I dont even know what to do. I just called them back and they refunded me, no questions asked. The girl with the long black hair was super nice and smiled. The other lady with the short hair tho, Im convinced she just doesnt like people in general. She doesnt smile. Shes not very pleasant.

Im not sure why people are giving this place such a low rating...my husband was not a patient here but our dog scratched his cornea. I called them at 9:00am and despite the fact that he was a new patient and it was an emergent situation they said they would see him that same day at 2:00. My husband was in excrutiating pain so he didnt want to wait that long to be seen and we were going to go to the er...I called Just 4 Eyes back just to see if he could be seen sooner and the awesome staff told us to come right in and they would get us in immediately. When we arrived we half expected to have to wait a long time due to be squeezed in but we only waited about 5 minutes before the doctor saw him and gave him immediate relief with numbing drops. I cant speak highly enough of this place and Dr. Bierly...most places schedule new patients out several weeks but they saw my husband immediately and were all so concerned and helpful. I would highly recommend this place to anyone!

I made an appointment for my 3 year old son. I made it online because it was easier for me with small children. Im not often able to make uninterrupted phone calls. I specifically said that it was for a 3 year old. They confirmed my appointment let me wait over 20 mins in the waiting room with my sin. When we got back there she said I needed to go to childrens hospital or my peditrictian. The website says pediatric eye care. It also states they recommend children 6 months and up get eyes checked. They need to remove this from their site because it is simply not true. I wasted my whole Saturday morning and now my son wont have his eyes checked before preschool like they require. At any point in this process if they would have told me they were unable to perform the exam it would have saved me valuable time. It appears they only care about taking your money.

I have been coming to Dr. Bierly for years. The ladies behind the counter are very friendly and super nice!!! Dr. Bierly is awesome! He comes out greets me with a smile and firm handshake and goes through the process very fast. All the people who help me when I come in have no problem answering any questions I have. They are all very professional and helpful. I dont ever even bother to think about going anywhere else. Any problems people may have are usually due to insurance companies lack of communication. I always just pay out of pocket and im in and out in two seconds with my new glasses or contacts. They have good prices and like I said my favorite part is how fast and easy it is. Do yourself a favor and give them a visit. I wouldnt spend the time writing a positive review if I didnt enjoy going there.
