My mother traveled with our cat across the country to visit for the holidays, and once in Ohio, our cat was having difficulty defecating. We became concerned because she hadn’t gone in almost 3 days, and so we looked up this clinic and brought her in. We had stated what was wrong with her initially, and instead of just being honest and telling us that they wouldn’t be able to help her, they still admitted her for examination. The only services they performed were taking her weight and temperature. They didn’t have any laxatives to administer, and had no means of performing an enema. All they could do was tell us to feed her baby food and gave us contact info for other local vets, both of which I could’ve figured out from the internet. It cost us $30 for this. We went straight to a drug store afterward and got her milk of magnesia, and presto, our cat was using her litter box normally by morning. After my visit, I now understand that this clinic specializes in vaccinations and spaying/neutering. I’m not saying that they can’t perform these procedures with quality; I’m sure they’re fine at what they do, hence my 2-star rating rather than giving 1-star. What upsets me is the fact that they didn’t tell us that they can’t help pets experiencing gastrointestinal problems from the start. They acted under the guise that they could help our pet, and after performing their “service” and charging us for it, basically turned us away. This is not an acceptable way of doing business in my opinion.

Multiple friends recommended Primary Pet Care to me for routine tests, vaccinations, etc. They charge half the price of my old vet and their service is great. Highly recommend them for your vet needs. They do not provide more complicated services such as dental cleaning, so you will need a secondary vet for things like that. Bottom line: great service and low prices for routine tests, vaccinations, heart worm/flea/tick preventatives.

The johnny larue review is based on Johnny not understanding that Primary Pet Care is not a full service VET or Hospital. They are very clear about what they do....they provide outstanding Wellness Care and Vaccines at a very affordable price. We have to shop cats and one got very sick and required surgery....Primary Pet Care doesnt do the level of care but certainly gave us a good referrals to Vet that could.

This establishment is great for your pets routine wellness needs! The staff is extremely friendly. One of my dogs is very skidish and aggressive when he is scared - the vet and staff is always patient with him and he allows them to administer shots or exam him. Furthermore, the office and rooms are always VERY clean. You can tell that everyone takes pride in what they do!

This place maybe first come, first serve, but its low cost (you know actually affordable), VERY clean, VERY helpful, and always friendly. The wait times arent terrible but there is usually a wait. People are usually friendly and inquisitive about your pets. If youre in need of a good, cheap vet, consider the drive here worth it.

They were so incredibly kind and helpful. I brought in a stray puppy to be checked out and given a clean bill of health. He was terrified but they didnt rush him or think anything less of him or myself because he had zero medical record. They also had amazing prices that cant be beat. Would highly recommend!

Love this place! They know me and my dogs by name when we walk in the door. They take a real life approach to pet health and have very competitive prices. While they are not a pet hospital they are perfect for the wellness aspect of a pets life from blood tests to minor procedures and health advice.
