I was recommended to go there by my normal vet because my poor baby hurt her leg and I needed to get her seen quickly. They took us back and asked questions, she told me that Bella was going to be taken to get her temp &weight, she would then return Bella to me before the doctor would come in examine her then tell me whats going on, No thats not what happened my baby was gone for 45 minutes. (I know the times because I had texted my boyfriend) she finally gets back in the room with the doctor. She looks so scared and shes shaking ! Well I find out its a torn ACL, I find out that she was giving a medication that I would not have approved of, without my permission... They also send home 5 doses of it, we did not give her any of them when we learned that it is not okay for her to have. Overall felt so disrespected , she didnt even examine my cat in front of me so how do I know what they really did to her ...

Dr Kristen has seen our dog Paris for almost 3 years and our cat Laci pretty much since we have had her. We have never had and issues or concerns . The staff is wonderful and dr Kristin is great. They are on the expensive side but I would rather pay the extra money and have peace of mind than pay less money and worry about the health and well being of our babies. Laci goes in to get spayed in a few days and I have to say I am nervous but it helps ALOT knowing she will be in good hands!!! We moved to coshocton Ohio for 6 months and still made the drive as needed to see dr Kristen ( 2 1/2 hours one way) i honestly do NOT believe a single word of the bad reviews!! #justaGREATplace

Unclean and show lack of compassion. Couldnt disinfect the place after treating a dog with parvo therefor exposing my friends dog who was loved by many to the virus and his dog passed away AFTER COMING IN ORGINALLY FOR A NAIL TRIMMING. If you want your animals to die over nail trimmings and other simple grooming procedures then be my guest and bring them there but I will not bring my animals here if this was the only place left to treat animals.

It is unfortunate to see the negative comments about Amherst Animal Hospital we always found them to be very good with our pets. Our Brittany Spaniel, Molly was cared for for most of her extremely long life by these folks and they were never anything but professional and kind to her. We plan to take our new puppy to these folks whenever we are in town as well. I will let you know if anything has changed; we have an appointment today.

I had my 14 year old English Bulldog, Molly, put to sleep this morning. A near record age for the breed, Mollys health was declining to the point it was clear she no longer enjoyed life. The emotional support I received from the entire staff and in particular Dr. Gigliotti was much needed and I am truly grateful. Molly - Forever Loved, Forever Missed.

This place killed my dog, I took my dog here to get his nails trimmed and from the moment we came in the lady that was going to help with him was all scared and jump so my dog got excited so they muzzled him which was fine but after they decided sedate him long story short he never bounced back from the sedation he became very ill and passed away
