I gave a detailed explanation about my extreme white coat syndrome (border line anxiety attacks) in regards to my blood pressure being taken at Doctors offices, something caused by a history of bad doctors visits. I explained that I track my blood pressure/heart rate daily at home and that it is always perfectly fine, so I would like the appointment to be focused on my ailment that I am there for in the first place. I did not get any understanding. I was told if my heart rate didnt drop below 100 they were sending me to the ER. Even with vivid explanation that my heart rate is always low at home and only very high AT the doctor. I told the nurse and Doctor "when I get home, in a couple hours, my heart rate will be right back to normal". And it was. Just read at 75/min. So that leaves me wondering why doctors fail to listen to a patients educated opinion on his own heart health and instead suggest I HAVE to be checked into an ER, pay hundreds and hundreds of dollars, for what?? Im fine at home just like I said I would be. This experience compounded my doctor-BP phobia ten-fold. I assume if you dont have this issue, this is a perfectly good doctor to visit. But I felt compelled to post given the utter disregard I felt when after I explain that I am very very anxious visiting doctors offices in regards to my heart rate, and they tell me I have to go to the ER....

I came in to the "URGENT CARE" to be seen for vomiting and a headache. When Dr. Kendrick came into the room she did not even evaluate me. She simply looked at my vitals, that her LPN Pam took, and told me I needed to go to the ER. I told her I could not because of insurance reasons and this is where it got ugly. I asked why I needed to go to the ER and she gave me three different answers She said in a rude tone that was her final decision. She went to get her LPN, Pam, who was equally, if not more rude than Dr Kendrick. She tried to get me to sign a waiver stating I would go to the ER after I refused Pam Stormed out of the room and in a very loud tone, where not only could other co-workers heard her but other patients, she proceed to tell whoever she was talking to what I told her. THIS IS A STRAIGHT FORWARD VIOLATION OF PATIENT CONFIDENTIALITY. I finally decided to leave because of the embarrassment when I walked out of the room not only were co-workers looking at me as if I committed a crime but patients were too. I have never been treated so poorly. I was sick and needed help and both Dr. Kendrick and LPN could have cared less!!!! I dont know about the other nurses and doctors but PLEASE IF DR. KENDRICK IS ON CALL DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT SEE HER.

I went to the Urgent Care in Norman to get my foot checked out. It was fractured and I just wanted verification and maybe an x-ray. The doctor refused to do an x-ray on me and just decided by the way I talked about my foot that it was fractured. She put me in a boot for my foot for two weeks. I paid on my way out of the center and it was only $72. I couldnt stop thinking about how cheap it was. I had even asked them if that was all I had to pay and they had told me that was all. I was shocked. But a couple of weeks later I started getting bills from them. I called and asked why they were billing me again and they told me it was for the boot! I told them that they should have told me that the boot wasnt included because I would have paid for it on the spot. But now I dont have the money to pay for it. And they have now started sending bill collectors on me! So now Im getting phone calls and constant mail from them asking for MORE MONEY! I would NEVER suggest going to them. EVER. You think it will be less than the ER but its not. They end up asking for more and more money and you cant get them off your back. DO NOT GO TO THEM! JUST GO TO THE ER!

This urgent care was not helpful and honestly just made things worse for me. I took my daughter in with a swollen lymph node in hopes that they prescribe her a z-oak and send us home. We went to see her Dr Fri and that is what he told us to do if it got worse. Well, it got worse, we went to urgent care and they acted like she had something terribly wrong with her that they werent going to mess with and to go to her Dr. They didnt look in her mouth or ears. Didnt take her temp or anything. I was a hot mess by the end of our appt. My worry suddenly increased to freaking out. When I confronted the pa about my sudden serious concern, she looked at me like I was crazy and that there was no cause for concern, but still refused to help. They didnt prescribe antibiotics no special guidance. They did absolutely NOTHING but make me more worried and charged me. I wouldnt ever recommended this place. Thumbs down

We are not from Norman. Our baby coughs. We got urgent care info from our hotel front desk. It was sunday. We went there. After we signed in, I just had some time to check reviews online. I was scare at first when I read those reviews.but we told ourself that we will know at fact. We woulds say DO NOT GO THERE IF U HAVE ANOTHER CHOICE.Dr kendrick only took a min to check my baby.she checked his throat.his temp and his ear.but I never seen doctor only check one ear.instant two ears. That was not professional. She seen like she was quite hurry. Even we had some questions. Anyway.the worse part is those women who work there are not helpful . They do not want to answer any question. Also they are not very polite. We would get much better treatment at our doctor office. Amy who works there (if I remember her name right) was very friendly. I do not know they have another doctor there on Sunday.

Have used this service to bring my granddaughters, daughter and partner in for immediate, but non-life threatening illnesses. The staff is exceptional in understanding and care. Wait time has never been more than 15 to 20 minutes in a comfortable waiting area with television and coffee available. Nursing staff triage patients quickly and ask sufficient questions to inform the doctor prior to seeing the patient. Rooms are clean and ready for the patient. Doctors are knowledgeable and treat each patient with dignity and respect. This particular location has been our number one location to take family members when an emergency room is not necessary. With a drug store located nearby, the convenience as well as a top notch staff makes this care center a prime place to receive treatment after doctors hours or for those who have non-life threatening illnesses.

I had a great experience here yesterday. I went in for a poison ivy rash on my arm. The waiting time was reasonable. All of the staff were very friendly. When I was seen by a doctor, I found out that due to breastfeeding, I couldnt use the medication they usually give for poison ivy. I had the option of pumping and dumping my milk so I could take the medicine or just waiting out the rash (they explained what I would experience and for how long). I chose to just wait out the rash. I was supposed to pay 79$ for my visit, but since they could not do anything for me they did not charge me anything. I did receive some great advice for dealing with my rash, so I felt I should have paid, but they insisted I did not. I will definitely go back in the future (assuming I need to!)
