Home Instead has been extraordinarily helpful in assessing the needs for my friend with early stage dementia. The case manager did a wonderful job of matching caregivers to care needs after a lengthy interview with both my friend and me. Our long time caregiver is a perfect fit! Office staff are great, as well. This assistance is enriching my friends life immeasurably while helping her maintain independence and allowing her to remain safely at home in the near term. The added help also means there are more opportunities for enriching excursions. Ive also had prior personal experience with Home Instead in Multnomah County - when I had a broken leg. My experience with the case manager and caregivers was similar, which prompted me to consider Home Instead as an option for my friend. I highly recommend Home Instead and find their service(s) to be very consistent, reliable, responsive and compassionate.

We have used Home Instead for four years to provide services for an 88 year old man. I found the care provided very competent, compassionate, concerned and willing to accommodate his needs. He had a primary caregiver who was very well liked by him. Cheryl found a way into his limited circle of caregivers. I found interaction with the scheduling and managerial staff very efficient. when we needed to cancel we were pleased. I found the services excellent.

With dementia there is a lot of emotional ups and downs, and our caregiver has been very adaptable and gracious.
