I appreciate the technology they have, and I appreciate the level of service they want to provide, but I cant help but think the amount of upselling that takes here could be cut back if they didnt have the free stuff around the office. When you walk in, you are treated in a very special way. Service is incredible here. Your first time youll have a reserved parking spot in the very front. Even when starting out, they seem to make a genuine effort to get to know you as much as possible. By the end, however, I was shocked with what all they called out. It was to a point I had requested my X-rays to go get a second opinion. First of all, they are much more cosmetic focused. They will always push for the porcelain fillings over the metal. Why? They do look better. However most insurance will not cover the costs of that, so you could be paying up to $500 per filling. They also were pushing to replace all of my existings fillings with porcelain. All of this added up to a very expensive price tag. Their finance people really have the insurance game dialed, because they will help you walk through how to get "the most" out of your insurance. Throughout that consultation I couldnt help but feel it was them getting the most out of the insurance. They had a system where if we fix these things this year, we can do these the following year and then the rest the year after that. Never once did they ask me how I was feeling about the high price tag, and I called that out to them at the end. If you walk into a place and their first recommendation is to rip out all that is in there, get a second opinion. With each filling they have to drill more and less of your teeth is there. They jumped to an extreme. One thing I will say, on price compare between then and other dentists, their porcelain pricing is pretty good. Just not what I wanted to be spending my money on.

I was a very loyal patient but left the practice after I started to pick up on a few changes that no longer met my needs as a patient. As the practice grew it turned into the type of practice that wasnt the right fit for me. Hygienists aggressively tried to upsell treatment and were even at times offensive. Optional treatment was recommended as necessary and I felt like their fees were high, I called around and got a second opinion and my gut instinct was right. Their fee for a crown was higher than average and a second dentist suggested it was optional rather than necessary, five years later and my tooth is still fine. They would pre estimate how much I would need to pay after insurance it was always high. I was never advised of the credit and only found out when I "needed" more treatment. The practice of holding a credit on the account without consent is illegal in Oregon and they are required to try to contact the patient and only after they havent been able to reach them they must send the monies to the division of unclaimed property for the state of Oregon. All of these practices are very different from the experience I had 20 plus years ago when I first started with the practice, when I would have recommended the practice to anyone. I understand the desire for dentists to grow their practice and that these practices are encouraged by dental consultants to implement such practices to maximize revenue. Some patients are ok with this and I have friends who highly recommend them but they are not a good fit for me and I have since found a dentist who is more practical for my needs and more transparent in communicating actual need for care.

Honesty, I am shocked at the lack of respect and professionalism this dental office has. For confidentiality I will not get in depth about the situation I am speaking of, because to me if you want to go to them that is fine, but I warn you with the fact a person in my family had to go back to them for the same procedure three times involving a crown they created in house. The last time we went in they refused to replace the crown, so I had to get pretty upset for them to do it again during that time I watched the dentist create the crown. The dentist cracked the first one in front of me and had to create it again using their in house machine. At that point I was very concerned. Forward to only about two months and once again that very crown broke again. After spending several thousand dollars there, we were told they were done. We were refunded our money for just the one crown price not for the whole procedure. Now my love one has a whole side of her mouth in pain, but the minute you run out of money they just simple say "well there is nothing else we can do" I can’t strongly enough suggest going to another dental office. They may be nice from the start when you are paying for all they suggest, but once that stops you will be shown the door.

Im no longer a patient here. I shouldve seen it from the beginning. All the little things such as all new patients could get a discount or a free teeth whitening kit. Got home and read the box. It had not only expired but it was supposed to be kept in the fridge not the receptionists floor. So I threw it away. My friends mom needed new dentures and after spending thousands of dollars and going back 3 times to get them to fit right the dentist here said "well thats all we can do." Shes wearing her old dentures now My other friend had a crown put on but was still complaining of pain. This was a Thursday and they dont open on Fridays (thats probably because of lack of patients). Dentist said yep youll prob need a root canal and sends him home. So from Thursday night to Tuesday morning when they could see him again he was in horrible pain Now for me, a few months ago I get a numbing shot on both sides of my mouth which numbs my nose so much I feel I cant breath and get panicky. Long story short the dentist was extremely annoyed and left the room. He said some harsh words and was very rude. I cannot recommend this place. I found another dentist that I am happy with

Century dental was able to get me in quickly and utilize my insurance best way possible before I change jobs. The office is clean and very welcoming. Every employee I interacted with was smiling and kind. They are well stocked with water and chapstick and other items to increase your comfort level. Dr.Call and dental assistants were very thorough in explaining options for my teeth/mouth health as well as cosmetic options I had inquired about. Full mouth x rays went quickly and accommodated issues I have with x rays being done. They also accommodated my resistance to cotton in my mouth. They listen and explain everything very well. I was happy to receive follow up from Dr.Call in the evening to see how I was doing. I look forward to Century Dental being my main provider. Highly recommend.
