Hi i had a chihuahua she was 1 and i went to companion pet clinic in hillsboro on monday 15th of may 2011. she was suddenly very sick. she pooped her self peed her self and was in very bad shape. she has not eaten anything for 3 days. so i took her in to the hippy looking doc and he checked her out and said that she has a very very low heart beat it was 24 very low it should be at 90 or so. and very dehydrated. he gave her a shot to rais her heart beat and sent us on the way after 80 bucks later. she got worse and i called him to ask if i could get some blood thininner to see if i could get her heart beat up and maybe some IV. the front desk lady told me that we should wait fot the doc to call us back. and also told me that it would be 22.50 for the IV and i would not have to pay to come in. lol. the doc called and told me no IV he will not give me and to raise the hear beat is a bad idea. so in some words he is telling not just let her die i will got help. i found out that i can use pedialyte to hydrate her. so i had to take it in my own hands to try to make her feel better. the doc wanted to charge me another 25.50 to see how bad she is doing even though i was just in 3 hours ago. so i went to the store and got pedialite and gave it to her every 2 hrs , and also got chicken broth and got a surenge because she will not drink and will not eat. she could not walk to go pee so she peed on my bed and couch. today 5 days later i had to put her down beacuse she had no LIVER yes LIVER not the heart like he said. if he would have really caird about my dog she would have been put down on monday so she would be out of pain. the doc did not check any thing. it is he fault that she was in so much pain for such a long time. I am looking for a atterney that will help me for the lawsuit. i am not suing for money i just want to make sure he will not hurt any ones else fam member like this. Please Pass this on to very one that loves animals not to go there. No one deserves pain like this. Thanks to all. RIP Princes 2010-2011 we will always remember you

I was very pleased with my experience at Companion Pet Clinic. I would highly recommend the clinic to anyone!! My husband and I brought our cat into the clinic because she had stopped eating and was losing weight. The vet who examined her was very kind and talked us through our cat’s condition and what the likely causes were. We tried a few interventions with no success. We brought our cat back to the clinic after another week of her not eating and showing obvious signs of pain and distress. We knew had to make a decision on whether or not to euthanize her to put her out of pain, it was going to be a tough decision. The vet we saw on this visit was incredibly kind and understanding. She was very patient with us while we discussed options and made our decision. We had to make a tough decision and we were reassured that we were making the right choice. I was incredibly pleased with our experience at Companion Pet Clinic. I highly recommend Companion Pet Clinic to anyone looking for a vet or emergency clinic.

My cat had lost a drastic amount of weight and was losing control of her bladder. I took her into Companion Hillsboro and told the vet her symptoms. He did an examination and then told me he wanted to do blood work. He neglected to tell me of the cost and the results didnt show anything wrong. He prescribed my cat antibiotics (which didnt change her condition) and I ended up with a bill over $250. I had to scramble to find the money because they refused to give me my cat back when I didnt have the money. One month later, my cats condition worsened and I took her to a shelter where they diagnosed her with leukemia and put her down. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS HERE! THEY WILL DO TESTS WITHOUT TELLING YOU THE COST AND MISDIAGNOSE YOUR ANIMALS!

I have taken my dog here many times and have always been happy with the vets weve seen. However, the front desk service is awful and every single time I want to tell them they need to smile more. They are not warm and dont greet you very nicely. I feel that the cost of medications and treatments need to be discussed prior and that didnt happen the last visit. The new veterinarian I met almost gave my dog a $100 non-emergent cortisone shot without discussing the price first. He prescribed antibiotics and told me they were much cheaper than the shot but they needed up being $70. I suppose I am doubting his diagnosis and unsure if my dog really needs antibiotics. For that reason I am thinking about finding a new vet.

I live 10 min away and I let them know that I financially couldnt afford to take my pet to Tanasbourne emergency because just to have him seen is close to100$ and I wanted to be able to afford medication but the reception just kind laughed and said "well were closing and if hes as bad as he sounds you should take him there I called 7/27/2017 at 7pm and they close at 8 I would have showed up 40 min before they closed but she would have us seen I understand your trying to go home but your a vet clinic for crying out loud worst receptionist ever how dare she laugh at my situation

Best place I have ever been to. A couple years back I had a dog who was having a severe allergic reaction with scabs growing on her. I took her to atleast 3 different local vet locations where they told us everything was ok even though the scabs where spreading by the day. We finally stoped at the companion vet in Hillsboro. They told us exactly what she had, what to do to care for her. Ever since then I dont trust any other vet with my pets. They are really great and very friendly! I am alwayd recomending them to my friends!

I cannot recommend them more highly. They are walk in so you dont need an appointment and they dont let that get in the way of getting you in quickly and it doesnt limit the quality of care. I had previously had a TERRIBLE experience at Frontier Pet Clinic in Hillsboro. They saw my 4 month old kitten within 15 minutes of walking in the door, the vet was very caring and helped us figure out what was wrong very quickly. I am making this my kittens primary care provider. Thank you guys very much for the excellent service.

We have used this pet clinic for years. We had a neighborhood cat that does not have an owner but we all pitched in to get what we thought was a tumor taken off his side. This clinic went above and beyond the call of duty to give him surgery and take care of Jack. We always have excellent care here and would not take our animals to any other clinic. This clinic is the best we have ever found. Please use them as you will never go anywhere else either.
