Dr. Rivers is a very honest and caring vet who not only does a great job but he helps you save money, often to his own detriment. He explains all of your options clearly and doesnt play any games trying to force you into paying for services you dont need, such as, some vets will try to make you pay for a pet exam before they will sell you flea control, but not Orchard Animal Hospital. Ive used them for over a decade and theyve always done a great job. I feel my pets are safe with them and dont get stressed as much as they do with other vets. Plus it is centrally located, which is important, because my pets freak out when I take them for a drive. Theyre also fast with blood test results. They bend over backwards to fit me in and always seem to have an opening when my pets are really sick and need urgent care. They are happy to sell you their medications in stock, which are lower than other vets, or they will give you a prescription or fax it to a place where you can get it for less, such as an online discount pet med supplier. They are also very good about letting me know when its time to give my pets their vaccines and such. If you want good service, low prices and help with savings, as well as prompt appointments and loving, tender care from an honest vet, this is a great choice. Since the original post, Ive had to have a pet put down, which was very hard for me. My familys way has always been to take them out and shoot them. I couldnt do that. I had Dr. Rivers euthenize it for me. Though my heart still aches, years later, I remember what a loving, tender job he did, and how I was able to hold her paw and look into her eyes as she passed on.

Ive been going to this vet for 15 years and he genuinely cares about the animals. Not to mention good prices. I bring in my pets and for 6$ I get good quality flea treatments done then leave within minutes. My dog had an abscess in her neck from a mosquito bite or something from our hike and instead of having to pay for the overnight stay and expensive things he told me a remedy with a hot wet towel and it worked! Ive gone to other animal hospitals in Dallas and theyre good like but personally I think hes the best.

Dr. Rivers is great! My dog liked him the second he met him and he was scared from having previous surgeries at vet clinics. He was so gentle and soft spoken with him, that it made him feels safe. Ive never encountered any issues with Orchard animal clinic or than it may be hard to get an appointment due to so many clients. Great vet and reasonable prices!

I love this vet! Dr. Rivers is very caring and knowledgeable. The prices are affordable and alternatives are given when the cost gets high. They will do anything they can to accommodate you and get your animal in when needed. I only wish they took Care Credit.

Didnt even go in. Receptionist was so rude on the phone. Obviously didnt like being asked questions. Told me she had to go to help a customer. I guess your only a customer if there in person. Very bad customer service.
