I have been going to this clinic for years and love them. I started going there with one of my dogs after she was hospitalized for 5 days at Dove Lewis for pneumonia. Dr. Markusen and Dr. Larrison are usually the ones who see my dogs but Dr. Gordon just did a knee surgery on my other dog. All three of them are fantastic and so are all of their staff. My dogs actually love going to see the vet. They all get down on the floor and let the dogs sit with them and lay on them before they start the exam every time. They pet them and talk to them. They are very reasonable with there prices and they will give you all options and price ranges available for what your animal might need. I have never felt any pressure to make choices that may cost me more. I really feel like they care about you and your animal and keeping you as a customer. I never feel like I have spent too much money for my services.

Dr. Gordon and Dr. Larrison were my moms toy poodles vet 20 years ago and when I got my first dog she made sure I knew where they were and they have taken care of all our furkids since. They and Dr. Markeson have all been with me thru life and loss of fur family loved ones and you will not find a better team to trust. Dr. Gordon is an amazing surgeon and he and Dr. Larrison have great people skills as well as being the best vets. They know if money is tight for you that you need to know what must be done, what might be able to wait and will offer help in keeping costs down when ever possible without compromising the furkids health or well being. I now drive from NE portland back to Hillsboro because the couple vets I have tried since moving did not communicate on this human level thats so important to me.

Dr Gordon is amazing!! He is so great with our pug and has preformed two FHO surgery on her. He always gets down of the floor to inspect and play with her too. As a worried pet owner he really took the time to explain the procedures in detail, even when i called back 3 times because I was so worried about it all. The front office staff is really nice and accommodating. I like how they are open early for drop offs and stay open late for picks ups too. Sometimes, if I feel like my dog is having an issue, and cant get an appointment I will drop her off in the morning and they will have a vet check her over when they have an opening. They hold the dogs in the back and charge a small fee for this.. but it is such a relief to know I have that option! :) Love this place!

I had taken my pet rat here about 6 months ago because she had grown a tumor and I wanted a vet to check it out. Over the last 6 months it grew very large and made it so her life was very unpleasant, plus she was growing quite old. I had to make the very hard decision to put her down last week. The staff was very sympathetic and the vet explained everything to me so I felt more comfortable. Today I received a sympathy card from them with a hand written note inside saying sorry again for my loss. It was so kind, and really went above and beyond what I would ever have expected. I would recommend anyone to go to them, theyre phenomenal.

Ive been on the search for a decent dog grooming place for some time. Well, this is it! They require that your dog have his rabies and distemper shots up to date, and get your contact info so you feel secure. You drop off your pet anywhere from 7:30 to 9 am and then they call you when hes ready to be picked up, although you can leave him as long as you need to (until closing hours). Staff is kind and pleasant; the place is a vets office, so you know its clean and calming. My dog didnt seem stressed after his visit, and he looked and smelled great. Thank you Damien and Walnut Street! Youve won my loyalty.

Dr. Gordon is the best vet we have ever had. Hes helped us through many of the ups and downs of pet ownership with great compassion, knowledge, and practicality. I really trust his judgement and appreciate his common sense style. And hes a lot of fun! In my opinion, the real test of a great vet is how they handle the tough decisions we all face toward the end of our pets lives. Every time weve dealt with this, Dr. Gordon has helped us to make decisions that I feel 100% confident were best for both our animals and ourselves. I feel a lot of gratitude toward him for that. We love this place!

I have two cats and beginning with regular check-ups and reasonably priced dental work they have been wonderful! I was there one day with my cats when a woman came in overwhelmed with grief as her small dog had been attacked by a large dog and did not survive. I was so impressed with the staff and the veterinarian I will never forget how amazing they were to this woman. Caring, calming and so attentive, it was heart warming to watch them work. I do not look forward to my cats dying but when they do I know I have the best veterinary staff available to help!

My corgi was diagnosed at an emergency clinic with 2 types of cancer and her prognosis did not look good. I took her to Cornell Rd. Vet and saw Dr. Kaitlyn who prescribed "vetprofen", but no promises, just keeping Lily comfortable and with a good quality of life. Well, the tumors shrunk 80% in no time at all (one week!). She has been great since 7-2012, which was four months ago. So I can recommend Cornell Rd. Vet for anyone who loves their pet, and especially if they have something similar to Lilys condition. Thank you, Cornell Road Vet!

Dr. Markusen has been great with my dogs. One of our dogs has some stranger fear, and she was very accommodating of him and made sure he was comfortable during the exam. Having been to other vets where they dont seem to know how to interact with fearful dogs (and thus exacerbate the problem), this was a huge relief. Taking my dogs to the vet is no longer dreaded because I know Dr. Markusen knows how best to make my dogs comfortable and happy. Im very happy I found Cornell Road Veterinary Clinic and would recommend them to anyone.

Weve been going to the Walnut Street Veterinary Clinic for about fifteen or so years now and the staff just gets better as time goes on! Theyve helped us through our lost of our two beloved dogs (both of who had to be put down) as well as being very helpful about putting my hamster and rat down (both for two different medical reasons). The veterinarians are wonderful and treat each patient as if they are their own pet, I couldnt ask for a better veterinarian.

Weve been to two vets there, Randy and Katie, both of whom seemed intelligent, direct, compassionate and nice people to talk to . . if you have to see someone and pay them, while under the duress of a hurting pet, it is best if you are able to RESPECT their humanity, as well as their opinion; we have dealt with two techs there, neither of which names we noted, who were equally reassuring . . and at a fair price . . great experience all the way round . . .
