We worked with doctor staci. Two stars because the atmosphere is cool. But if you care about the experience then just dont go here. She is very combative and does not like anyone going against what she says even if youre completely correct. Ill explain what happened. My son who is not quite two has cavities in all four front teeth. Dr. Staci assured me that it was my fault because I night nurse my son. I thought this was strange as I night nursed my daughter and she has perfect teeth but I decided to trust her even though my extensive research pointed to it being developmental. 40% of children have developmental enamel problems.... thats a lot. But dr staci would rather accuse you of giving your children juice bottles (which I never have. We dont eat candy and my son has very little sugar whatsoever) she refused to recognize developmental enamel problems again on our second appointment when his molars were beginning to erupt and you could see before the skin flap had even left that they had holes and were a dark color. I asked if it was developmental as she said she "didnt really know but they did look a typical"....so 40% of kids have this problem but the dentist doesnt know it when she sees it? I went to sprout dentistry today. She took one look at my sons teeth told me what I already knew about percentages of kids that have the problem with enamel and confirmed he does indeed have that problem. She was kind while dr. Staci was combative and down right rude to me. Please dont go there if your children have any kind of problems. There are other places with cool lobbys and better doctors. Update: dr staci called me today said she was sorry and didnt realize she had come off this way and that she will try to work on being more supportive to other parents. I imagine that was tough for her and I really respect her for doing that so I added another star. Every body has bad days while I found another dentist you may find dr. Staci is right for you.

I have been taking both my girls now aged 4 & 7 to see the hygenists and dentists at world of smiles since my first child was 2 and they only had one location. The drive used to be very far for us coming from NE Portland, thats a testament to how much I enjoyed their offices and staff. The new North Portland location is bright, light and full of fun distractions to keep your kids happy while waiting. I have never felt pushed or rushed to force my kids into uncomfortable dental visits, the staff is very patient with an abundance of understanding of kids potential anxiety toward dentists. There are several options to accomplish cleaning and checking on your little ones teeth, this place is the opposite of rigid. Ive been invited to sit in the chair while my child sits on my lap, or once my little one was having an off day and we got our own, private sensory room where the checkup was done quickly but thoroughly. I always appreciate their advice in maintaining the optimum health of my kids teeth, they never suggest anything unnecessary. Overall, I feel like this special place is helping my kids shape a very positive memory of what going to the dentist is and will help them foster a lifetime of good dental health.

World of Smiles has given us, hands down, the best dental experience our family has ever had. Up till now, we have had a tricky dental history with our kid. From the very first moment we joined this clinic, our daughters trajectory began to improve amazingly. In fact, today it feels like our dental traumas are solidly in the past. We are thrilled with Dr Staci Whitmans skill and dedication. She has performed skillful heroics for us with a modest, upbeat dedication and compassion that have been game changers for our kid. Her highly skilled technician and assistant Bailey is so fantastic with both her job and with making kids like the visit can feel safe and fun. The kids that receive care at this clinic are really really lucky. We love this place! We literally hug the staff when we leave and are tremendously thankful that we are their patients. Easily 5 stars plus for Dr Staci and her entire staff. Their enthusiasm, attitude, kid smarts, creativity, accepting OHP and the tangible results that have given our whole family so much to smile about are without rival. Thank you, thank you World of Smiles north!!!

The office is bright, colorful and fun. They have nice spaces for parents to sit and observe, or to look out the window. The staff was focused on it being a good experience. They were willing to arrange tandem appointments for both my children. They were very patient with my son, and were willing to approach things differently. They offer a chairless approach if needed, and other support items for children with autism or other challenges and disabilities. They also offer an acclimation program for kids that are not use to the dentist and can benefit from more frequent, positive, visits. It wasnt covered by insurance, but felt very reasonably priced.

Our family LOVES World of Smiles. The space is so charming and accommodating making it an easy place for kids and parents alike. The first visits take place in the small exam rooms and get kiddos used to having their teeth checked. My 4 year old transitioned so easily to the big exam chair and to the big kid cleaning tools thanks to the TLC and positive experiences in the little rooms. He was so excited to have the chocolate flavored "tooth paste" again. My one-year-old recently had his first appointment and was happy as a clam. Dr. Staci and Kristen (dental assistant) make going to the dentist fun and educational. We recommend WOS to everyone.

We had a wonderful first dentist appointment here. Im through impressed! My daughter was literally sick in the stomach, she was so nervous and scaird. But assistant Candice was amazing with my daughter, sweet and enthusiastic. My girl took to her, immediately laughing and feeling safe. She even ohhd and awed over the kid friendly office, theres TV screens in the cealing art and stuffed and nomads everywhere. And I really appriciated the parent friendly seating inside the exam rooms and the fact that they put in in my chart never to bring Florida up to me, ever, no questions asked. Triple A, highly recomended.

I came in with my 7yr old son for a couple fillings. Amazingly he never even realized they were actually working on his teeth. He was having a great time throughout the whole process. There was a great atmosphere and They have a very Cool vintage arcade game in the lobby to keep you and your kid happy which was lots of fun. A special Thanks to Dr. Stafford and Candice for making my sons experience the best he has ever had. He is definitely not afraid to return if need be.
