I moved to the Portland area not too long ago, and I was on the market for a new dentist. A coworker referred me, so I thought Id try Dr. Dugger out. I have to say, I am the worlds biggest baby about going to the dentist. I wont even let an optometrist blow air in my eyes during my eye exam, so you can imagine how I am with getting my teeth poked and prodded at. Dont even mention a drill. So, on with the story... first, their office is fantastic. Im a sucker for the whole safari theme anyways, but they have a very classy office. It makes waiting to see the dentist not so painstaking. The cleaning was pretty good, taking the x-rays were as good as they could be. I have bone buildup which makes taking x-rays painful, but the technician tried to be very careful. But the thing that will make me go back is the Laser. I did have a small cavity which needed to be filled, but I cant stand the drill. In the past, everytime I have had to get a cavity filled, I have left the office with tense shoulders and fingernail prints in my palms. But with the laser, you dont hear the sound of a drill, theres no friction, its much easier to deal with. And, I didnt need to be numbed. You just hear the snapping of the laser, which I dont think is that bad at all, and its delivered in a stream of water, so its just like they are rinsing your tooth the whole time. Dr. Dugger is very understanding and patient. Hes concerned with your comfort and he does a great job of explaining everything. This is the place to go if you have dentalphobia, a rehab center so to speak, because you will be rehabilitated into thinking dental work isnt that bad.

I hate going to the dentist. I have had a lot of work done over the years. I have 4 root canals, two of which have been redone, and the crowns replaced now 3 times. I have had some good experiences and some bad. Dental work is expensive, and having to get work done over does not make me happy. What I love about Dr. Dugger is that he does an excellent job. Everything he has done for me has been the highest quality work, and I have had no problems or continuing pain with the teeth he has worked on. When I first came to him, I had been seen by two other dentists who wanted to pull one of my teeth because they couldnt figure out why it was hurting. It had been misdiagnosed, and Dr. Dugger solved the problem, saved the tooth, and it has been great since then. I have been going here for over three years, I take my daughter here, and I recommend it to all of my friends. A good dentist is hard to find, I dont know why that is, but that has been my experience. I dont even live in the Portland area anymore and I still drive up to see Dr. Dugger because he does such a good job. I appreciate his manner and friendliness as well, he is very personable and overall always an excellent experience (for something I hate doing). :)

always caring, always gentle, always friendly, always a positive experience! With two small children, it is not easy to feel comfortable at a dental office. Alexia and Elise really connected with my children and the receptionist also engaged my talkative four year old in conversation and took the time to include my younger child as well. As a mother, I appreciate attention, kindness, and understanding when it is extended to my children. My whole family has visited Dugger Dentistry and we drive an hour to see them. Well worth the drive to know my whole family is getting the best dental care possible in the least painful and traumatic way. We went in for a check up and cleaning for my four year old and was informed about the issues with leaving her lip tie. I decided to get her treated there since their procedure uses a laser instead of a scalpel. They were able to fit me in instead of scheduling another appointment. I was so grateful… an hour drive with a toddler who hates her carseat can make the ride stressful. Thank you!!

I use to be so afraid of seeing a dentist that I would postpone and postpone needed care that is until I met Dr. Dugger and his staff. It is one of the most friendly dental offices I have ever entered. We> meaning my husband, mother in law, and me love them. Dr. Dugger is caring, and one of the most pain free dentists I have ever visited. We highly recommend him and his staff. If you were like me and afraid, well fear no longer, your dental experience will never be the same once you enter this office door and you will walk away feeling as we do, being thankful for such gentle care and a friendly staff. Love, love, love Dugger Dentistry! Dr. Dugger and all of the staff are friendly and professional! My cleanings are always a pleasure. Dr. Dugger even did a filling without novocaine! He used a laser with no pain or discomfort. AWESOME! I will recommend Dr. Dugger to everyone I know! Dr. Dugger takes care of my whole familys dental needs. He is really good, extremely knowledgeable about many things, much more than most anyone Ive met. His same habits of knowing all the important issues in dentistry are apparent in other areas of knowledge he enjoys. They use leading edge equipment and techniques. Highly recommended.
