Getting Lasik was the best decision I have ever made. Its only been two weeks since my surgery, but I am already completely satisfied with my experience. The staff is all around fantastic, very friendly, and very courteous. They thoroughly explain everything, and prepare you for exactly what to expect. That being said, the surgery was the scariest thing I have ever done. I am a police officer. I deal with scary people and scary situations all of the time. But I was never as scared as I was when Dr. Shah cut my eyeballs. No, I didnt feel it. But I certainly saw the first cut. To be blunt, the very quick ten minute surgery was hell. No, there is no post-op. They give you Advil PM and send you on your way. The ride home sucked. My eyes began burning and watering, and any light was too much light. Once home, I went immediately to bed. Falling asleep, even with the Advil PM, was difficult at first, but I did eventually fall asleep. When I awoke 6 hours later, the burning was gone, but the watering was still persistant. At this point, it was 930pm, so I took Nyquil and went right back to bed. When I woke up in the morning, it was suddenly the best day of my life. I opened my eyes and could see the clock on the cable box for the first time ever. Normally, Id have to fumble around for my glasses, or walk blindly to the bathroom and put my contacts in. But not anymore. The first thing I did that morning was throw away my glasses and contacts, and all of the solutions and cases that go with them. I no longer needed them. I had worn glasses for 22 years, contacts for 16. But that day, I drove myself to my follow up appointment, without them. Ive read a lot of complaints about the lack of post-op, and that they dont give you Valium. To that, I say: so what? If it were really necessary, they would do those things. But its not necessary. Do what I did and schedule a late afternoon surgery and sleep until morning. Anyway, its been two weeks and I have 20/15 vision in both eyes. Before surgery, I was once told by an eye doctor that I was legally blind. I have the halos at night, but the doctors insist that they will go away within the three month healing period. I do have dry eyes, but the drops help and that should also go away in three months. I do still have slight bruising in my eyes, but its fading away. And I was also happy as a pig in mud when I could stop wearing the sleep goggles. They were very uncomfortable. Would I do it again? Hell yes. Would I recommend this to my friends? Hell yes. Is this the best thing I have ever done? Well, Ive never bothered to write a review about anything before in my life. This was a life changing event, and I honestly couldnt be happier with the results. Do yourself a favor and schedule your free consultation.

I am very happy with the outcome of the LASIK surgery. I had a free consultation first that told me what my total price would be like and if I was a candidate. It took me almost 6 months to decide to schedule an appt. (Be careful because, I believe that I feel you wait longer than 6 months to get the surgery you will have to go for another consultation to make sure the eye measurements are the same). My eye glass prescription was very low (-1.00/-1.25). So I was eligible for bladeless surgery. The provider called in prescriptions for I believe antibiotics before the surgery. A couple of days before I was called to see if I would be interested in a medication to calm me down. I was not expecting that call, so declined. However after watching a video of the surgery, I called the, back for the medication!!! On the day of the surgery, my husband went with me. I had to fill out paperwork. I brought my own goggles, but was told later that they do not recommend goggles because if the potential for it to hit my eye. However, on the instructions before the appt. it clearly stated goggles could be worn. I had to ask for the anxiety reducing medication literally multiple times and took it just before my surgery. Im not sure how fast acting it was or if I even needed it. The surgery itself was about 5 minutes. Just breathe through it. I was told that I would be getting protective glasses that they recommend for sleeping, but never got them. I experienced minimal eye discomfort, by the next day I was able to drive myself to the appt. Its been 3 months since my appt. And I have 20/15 vision ( better than 20/20). I still experience dryness, so I have to keep my eyes moisturized with drops. and I experience light sensitivity. Overall, I am happy with my decision to get Lasik.

I worked at a "big four" firm, and it just became a hassle traveling with contacts and glasses. Between the flights drying out my contacts, and the groggy feeling in the morning from not being able to see fully; I was over it. I saw that my vision insurance offered a discount at LasikPlus, and I decided to check them out in KOP. It was a smooth process from start to finish. I asked them a million questions - like legit - one million. Everything from what does 20/20 vision mean to when can I go back to the gym? They answered everything with no problem. Procedure was quick, painless, and I was good to go the next day. This post was written the day after surgery and I have 20/15 vision which is better than 20/20. I would highly recommend them! If youre a high performer looking to remove one big life hassle out of your life, then I would say this is probably the fastest and easiest decision for you. No lie - wish I done it sooner.

Best decision I ever made!. I had been wearing glasses and contacts for about 15 years prior to getting Lasik. The initial consultation went extremely smooth and I was given the pricing options for both my eyes. Although they advertise "As low as $250 an eye", the pricing varies depending on an individuals needs and requirements as related to the surgery itself. People need to take the time and effort to read the disclaimer. They get all upset when they find out the pricing is different. Dr. Russal explained everything to me in depth, from the procedure itself to the recovery process. Dr. Shah was very skilled and the surgery only took about 10 minutes from the time I was placed on the chair to have my eyes numbed. My vision is 20/10 as of my one-month post-op checkup in August. The entire staff made me feel at ease and comfortable.

I was referred to Dr. Shah by my physician, who is a meticulous surgeon himself. Dr. Shah and his staff did not dissappoint. Their office manages every patient as a priority from the moment you contact them. They follow up continually before, during and after surgery is completed. Thorough would be an understatement in terms of the testing they require to ascertain that you are a suitable candidate. I was very nervous right before the surgery but the staff were so confident it was very reassuring. From Dr. Shah to Dr. Russal, Marquis, Shannon, Janet, and Colleen, I really cant say enough about their professionalism and kindness. Thank you for everything! Im hoping that if I ever have to come back for a tune up in years to come, I see "Dr." before Marquis name:-)
