One of my dogs was having some issues with behavior at our first vet. Mac would be perfectly happy and carefree until they put the harness around him to hold him to the table. His demeanor changed drastically and he would thrash and growl in fear. My previous vets solution was to bring all of his techs into the room and give him his shots as quickly as he could. It was stressful for Mac and I and I hated to see people afraid of my sweet boy. I decided to try a different vet and thats when we met Dr. Greenburg. The first time I took Mac there I knew this was going to be a much better experience. Dr. Greenburg came into the exam room and got right down on the floor with my big 70 pound baby and as I talked with him about Macs issues he listened without judgement. He smiled and said it sounded like Mac has a restraint phobia and they would take a different approach if I would like. I could bring Mac in the morning of surgery days, they would sedate him to make him comfortable and then do whatever he needed (nails, anal glands, shots, etc.) while he was sleeping. I was so relieved that he took the time to understand Mac and we are so happy with the office every time we go back. If you are considering a new Vet, definitely give Companion a try. They are wonderful.

I have been associated with Dr. Libby and Dr. Nixon right from the beginning when they were interning with Dr. Swartz. I liked them from the start. And have remained a loyal patron through 2 of their moves into different offices. They have always been there for my pets. They have gone above and beyond for my animals on several occasions. They have always been caring and concerned when I had to put a dog or cat to sleep for issues where it was determined that nothing else could be done. And while I have noticed that their prices have become much higher...they have to pay their own bills too. It may be something that they cant control. In the past few years, I have been seeing Dr. Zimmerman there. I cant say enough good things about him as well. He is always willing to take the time to listen and provide the best options for the problem. And he has the best smile! Yes, he knows that I always say that! :-) But it is the truth! And the office staff and techs are great too! Some have been there for YEARS! In this day and age, most places dont have that, so you know that they must be treated well there. I highly recommend this vet office!!

I cant say enough good about Dr. Libby and his staff. They have all gone above and beyond for my dog AND my family. We had to put our sweet girl down. They were wonderful, compassionate and caring. I checked these reviews before taking her there. I decided to take her there despite the reviews and I am so very glad we did. I dont think the prices were bad at all. If you take your pets to the vet regularly then the prices shouldnt be a surprise and you know what to expect. I in no way felt compelled to do any tests etc that I didnt want to have done, nor did they try to push for any. I couldnt have asked for a better person to be taking care of our sweet girl in her last few weeks than Dr. Libby. In the future when we do get another dog, she will go see Dr. Libby. We have received a card signed by the staff and just returned home from vacation to find a box in the mail that had a cast print of her paw. I bawled like a baby but was so touched that they did this and now I have this for my family and I. I HIGHLY recommend them and Dr. Libby.

Found a stray kitten that was injured and called to inquire about if this hospital could take a look. They immediately talked about wanting $180 straight up for it being an emergency and said the medical costs would be added after a doctor assessed the situation. They did not care in the slightest that it was a stray that we rescued and we could not afford those costs put of pocket. Instead, they rather leave a defenseless kitten die of of injuries all in the name of money. Thank you for only considering assisting animals for a price and not for empathy like we did when we chose to rescue this little guy. This is a heartless place that turns down animals who dont have owners and they even had enough audacity to suggest they could put the kitten down but that even a stray would cost money to have it euthanized. Do not recommend. Worthless place filled with disgusting workers.

We left another practice and went to Companion as new clients when our 12-year-old Yorkie was sick. They diagnosed her with lymphoma and kept her alive and comfortable for nine months. When we had to let her go last week, it was with the utmost compassion that we all were treated. There are many doctors in this practice (all of them too-notch) so getting an immediate appointment has never been a problem. And most impressive, Dr. Nixon spent a couple of hours calling Philly and doing research to see if there were clinical trials or cutting-edge treatments available for Keira. Ultimately, we decided to go the steroid route and she was closely monitored throughout the treatment. I had always assumed the prices were higher, but not so. Thank you, Companion ...

I first visited Companion for a second opinion for my dog who tore his ACL. Dr. Libby was able to get us right in, and to make a long story short he made the repair over the New Years holiday and my pup is doing fantastic! Dr. Libby and the rest of the staff at Companion have such a different approach to their animal patients (and families) that my pup who was normally filled with anxiety when he visited our previous Vet is now relaxed and calm during our visits. I also found Companion to be less expensive than my previous Vet. Its obvious that the staff at Companion are in the business because they love animals!

Dr. Libby and his staff are wonderful. We moved almost 50 minutes away and continue to take our dogs to Companion because they are skilled and compassionate. We feel like they are part of our family that helps us take care of our beloved dogs. Dr. Libby and Dr. Nixon saved our dogs life when he jumped through a window and we always know they will do what is best for our pups. They have worked with us to save money on our expenses and medications and listen to all our concerns. We always recommend Companion to people looking for a vet.

Ive been taking my kitties here ever since I adopted the first two some years ago. The staff is very kind and certainly know how to lessen an animals stress. When I later rescued two kittens from the side of the road, they were really up front and helpful in laying out the proper care for the next few months till they were old enough to get spayed/neutered. I usually have Dr. Genova, and I usually request her because all my kitties really seem to take to her, even my loveable ol grump Charlie.
