This was my former cats vet and he did OK here. No worries from him, but with my last visit, I am not going back. My one lcat didnt like the vet or the assistant.... to the point where he was growling and bringing out his claws. I told them I would hold him so that he would be more comfortable and they just refused. To which, they wanted me to make another appointment and asked if they should charge me in advance for the bloodwork that my cat wouldnt let them do. They claimed that it was because of all of the animals around him, but thats definitely not true. Needless to say, Im not making another appointment and Im looking for a new vet. My cat got home and he was definitely happier once I got to hold him and once we were in the car. He seems unscathed by this, but I learned this lesson with a previous cat.... if the cat doesnt like or trust the vet, then its not the vet for him. If the vet tries to charge you in advance for services and they always try to sell something to you, then its not for you. Its a shame because my Remmy really liked going here when he was alive but when getting him treated, I knew that if he growled at someone that he hated them..... oh, and the assistant laughing at me because I was a post-op didnt make me want to give them more money either. Very unprofessional. Oh, and I dont want to have my cats in a carrier because they like when I hold them and feel more comfortable that way... STOP trying to force me to have one.... every visit I go through that..... Lets see if my cats next vet keeps their opinions to themselves on that.

The free first visit coupon is actually a gimmick- when you return for shot boosters THREE WEEKS after your actual check-up, they put you in a room instead of taking your dog to the back, and you wait for the vet to come in and do a "RE-CHECk"! I swear, this happened to us tonight and I was not happy at all. They tried to say that our dog was very sick last time, that she had a bald spot they really had to check, and they told us "Well we cant give all the visits to you for free". I said, "Why are you taking us to a room, we are here for boosters" and the tech just smiled, and said OK! Then in comes the vet. When I said I would not be back, she tried to appease me with "discounting" this visit. I really felt ambushed and taken advantage of, and I rarely write reviews but I think people should know, that this coupon is only good if you do not allow them to "Re-check" your dog after three weeks, charging you full price for an exact same exam, three weeks later. Meanwhile we dropped $250 the first time even without the fee. Do you return for your well visit re-check to your own doctor three weeks later? I think not. You just lost our business, and my family took our animals here for years. This was my first visit with my own dog. Just because you speak in a friendly tone, does not mean you are not dishonest. Everyone may have been "nice" but I was not that impressed and the push push push for extra vaccines and fecal tests is too much. Its a business now, not a family practice type that I remember.

I know most people skip past good reviews to ready the bad ones, but i wanted to take sometime to tell my experiance and story with vca neshaminy. I just recently had to put my baby down, his name was toby. He wasnt acting himself for a few days, so i decided to call animal hospitals around to get some advice and make an oppointment. The first one i called the guy was very pushy. He asked me abouy 3 times "when are you scheduling an oppointment." The second place i called the girl on the phone was very dry, when i was explaing how he has been acting she would just cut me off and say what days and times were avaliable. Vca neshaminy was the 3rd place i called, at this point i was feeling exhausted. The lady on the phone was beyond kind and sympathetic. She listened to everything i had to say and answered all my questions! So i made an oppointment. Make a long story short, every staff member who helped me and toby out the next couple days was so kind! They were understanding and incredibably sweet. Sometimes i feel like vet clinics loose "sympothy" for their patients. They see sad things everyday. But the staff here made me feel like they felt the pain i was having, like this was the first sad thing they seen all day. I hope the staff who helped me and toby, gets the oppertunity to read this review. It comes from the bottom of my heart when i say... Thank You. I had to make a hard decision putting toby down and you all made me feel supported. Ill be back for sure.

Love the doctors. Dr. Sweeney is absolutely awesome. Been going to this place for over 10+ years, however recently their staff has been very unprofessional. When you enter they dont welcome you, you have to wait 15+ min for them to acknowledge that youre sitting in their waiting room. The blond girl that works there is always miserable and never wants to communicate. Every time we take our pet for a check up it seems like shes bothered by my dog barking. Im sorry its a veterinarian office, that is your job? I dont understand how someone whose supposed to work with animals is so negative. The same girl told me that I need to retrain my pet ( keep in mind we just rescued her from a kill shelter 2days prior). Unbelievably rude, words cant describe how ignorant she is every time we visit. For the price that I pay for their services (which is not cheap) I wont let this girl, nor other girls disrespect me. Will not be returning to this office. Its such a shame that good docs/vets are surrounded by such a rude staff and once again the management does nothing to improve the satisfaction of their customers.

Be very careful! The veterinarians are very nice and easy to talk with, but you will be guilted into tests with the "you are a bad mommy if you dont do this" philosophy behind them. We have been to this hospital three times for our poodle for the same problem each time. OVER $650 LATER WE STILL DONT HAVE A DIAGNOSIS!!!! Make sure you ask how much tests will costs before you agree to anything! We got to the check out counter and were presented with a $400+ bill, which we could not pay or afford! We offered to pay half and half the next week, but we were told we had to sign a promissory note!!! We were sent to a collection agency because we could not pay our bill within one months time!! This is not a touchy-feely type of veterinarians office!! It is a business with profits as its bottom line! I would expect this from a weekend/holiday type of emergent care facility; I do not expect this from a veterinarians office!! By the way, we googled our dogs symptoms and came up with a diagnosis and a home treatment in thirty minutes! So much for the $650+!!
