If dont care or love your family member by all means this is the right place for them. The staff pretend they care while the relitive is visiting but the truth is this patients are not atteded as they should. The truth is they wouldt be in a nursing facility if they didnt require 7/24 care they would be home - right? The staff do the minimum care they can get away with. For those patients that require help feeding they shove the food in their mouth in less than 5 mins. Yes five mins per patient seems to be the rule for everything. In the morning they take five minute with each patient that includes showers too. Of course they shower only twice a week so you can imagine the bacteria on these patients and why they constantly itch. But the staff says its a medical issue not poor hygiene, but you can see every patient that can still move itch. The whole place is full of corruption -- the D.O.N has her entire family working there as RNs, LVNs, CNAs and even cleaning and kitchen staff. So you can believe they will not hold the patients best interest but their own. The patients get bed sores from the cheap thin diapers and inferior products used at this facility. The patient is only changed twice a shift if needed or not, and if they can speak are ignored if theyve already been changed. If the patient can still turn on the call light or cry out for help they are ignored or the light is turned off only. Leaving your loved one here is as if youve left them in hell with the devil. NO person should spend the last years of their life in a place like Baldwin Gardens Nursing Center,

My mother has been in this facility for the past 2 years. She has been in 2 other facilities prior to this, and I would not want her moved from their care. It is clean and well cared for. The nurses are always available to answer my questions either when I visit or when I call. My mother is always clean and cared for. Like any facility, they are not perfect, but they are not perfect. My mother complains about the quality of the way the laundry is handled, but she was always extremely picky about this, even when I was a child. She also says she doesnt like the food...but she doesnt like the food anywhere...But these are minor complaints considering the care that she had at other facilities. When reading the other reviews, it seems they were written in the heat of the moment after one incident, and not based on long term observation. Please visit the facility for yourself, talk to staff and residents when making a decision about the care of your loved one.

Although the facilities are nicer, and there is a fresh and clean smell to the rehab, the service of the nurses isnt much better. It took both myself and my friends daughter to make him stay in bed when he needed to use the bathroom urgently. He was insistent that he was getting up, without a wheelchair or brace. To me, when you actively and vocally call for a nurse, and no one comes, and my friend falls to the floor, because his needs are not being met, that is negligence coupled with incompetence. He is already distressed being there, without family, and now he cannot rely on the professionalism of the staff to take care of his physical needs. Is everyone in healthcare really that unhappy? If you hate your job, dont take it out on the patients. Quit, for the patients sake and the hospitals.

I perfer not to have my real name on here however this place is the best place I put my father, they go above and beyond for the Veterans and the residents are always busy, since then they have a new dietary manager who is the best she is a star chef in our opinion, the negative comments about working here are unecessary the staff is great and no one is perfect I recomend this place to anyone in the south hills!! They do a ton of community outreach internally and externally and are very welcoming

This place is a JOKE. The nurses do not care about the patients AT ALL!! They dont give medication when they are suppose to its usually 3 hours or more past the due time. Also when I was coming into patient area there was a patient to yelling "help" , "help me" so there were two nurses standing around so I told them they both said OK and leaned up against the wall and didnt move!!!! NEVER TAKE ANYONE YOU CARE ABOUT HERE!!!!!!

A terrible, terrible place. My brother was on hospice and they took very little care of him !!!! It was a sad night mare. We had to ask for help for him all the time. Mucus all over his chest.Never cleaned him. Tried to feed him 3 days after he was there. ( he was not to be feed) . Room never cleaned. Garbage piled up the wall . If you care about your family never put them in Baldwin Health care!!!!!

Went to look at this place the other day to see about transferring my brother here from a terrible facility he is a currently residing, and I must say it is a GORGEOUS FACILITY. Very clean! No odor! Updated.. and just plain gorgeous. Does not even look like a nursing home. The staff seemed very friendly and sweet too. Very impressed! I would give another star if I could!

My mom things go missing a friends clothes go missing . Aides most of the time ,dont answer. Call bell i sit in my moms room n end up takeing her to bathroom. Her room is usually. Dirty. I coming and her floor n bathroom. floor. Come back in 2 or 3 weeks and the same stuff is on the floor. I ask them do they want me to sweep n mop floor

The place is remodeled however the staff is either too busy or not working very hard. Meals come late and cold. My Dad is still waiting on a bath for 4 days. His roommate who has been there for weeks has the same complaint. Not much attention given to patients. Staff says one thing and does another.

Had a loved one admitted for rehabilitation. They had a great experience! The nurses were really helpful and caring. They are now home and doing well. Thanks to everyone involved for doing such a good job. Id without a doubt recommend you guys to any/everyone!

Therapist staff was generally helpful and accomodating but they deliberately kept her beyond insurance coverage so she had to pay out of pocket. They had a power outage and delayed a meeting and her release.

Everyone from the top down cares about the people here. My grandfather is here and the CNAs on the A-wing are great and really do take good care of people. The food sucks but thats really my only problem.
