I had a horrific experience with Womancare OBGYN! I must start by saying I LOVE Patricia Sullivan and really wished that she delivered my child. I actually went to that facility because of her. She is so calm and very knowledgeable and actual cares about what she does. The day after my delivery she came to visit us in recovery and check up on my son. She was super sweet and she ended up doing my sons circumcision. Other doctors who checked his circumcision asked if we were Jewish because it was that good. Unfortunately I ended up getting the one that I did not like. Jessica Klemens is very black and white, very cold. So minus the fact that they don’t give an ultrasound during your 3rd trimester (which bothered me a little) I will fast forward to my birth experience. I was induced a week past due. I was not effaced or dilated so after numerous attempts they eventually gave me Pitocin. I was in labor but felt nothing until 7cm. I asked that the Abington Hospital to honor my wishes for a natural (no epidural) birth and I was told to “not be a hero.” Everytime I would stand up to walk around I was yelled at by a nurse to lay down and not move. Then every 15 minutes I had nurse after nurse after nurse come into my room asking when I wanted an epidural. All trying to scare me into getting one by making horrible comments about pain and blood. Mind you I was not making a peep and actually doing amazingly well meditating though my contractions. After I were threatened to not be offered one and that my contracts will get so bad that I will pass out I got scared and said ok. An hour later (before the epidural) I told a nurse I had to push. She laughed at me and said this is your first baby you can’t dilated that fast. I begged her to check and she said she is not that kind of nurse and would have to get someone else in here to check. 15 min later the person to administer the epidural came in. I said I did not want ti I really felt like I had to push and they tried to make me feel guilty saying it took them so long to mix everything they needed to get it done and he had to walk all the way over to my room to administer it. I kept on saying I have to push I have to push and the woman told me nonsense and I would be foolish to not get one. I was NOT checked and bouncing off the table while they were trying to give it to me. They missed FOUR times. My husband said blood squirted out of my back and he almost passed out. Finally 2 min after administering the epidural they checked me and said OH you’re at 10cm. it is time to push, but now we have to wait because you got an epidural. I waited 3 hours to push and after that I told the nurse to F off and began pushing on my own. The baby crowned after 3 minutes of pushing. A nurse ran in and said to stop to get the doctor. Dr. Klemens strolled in like nothing was going on and told me to STOP pushing because she was not ready. That was the most painful part of the labor and deliver. I ended up tearing pretty badly. After delivery the doctor stitched me up with no numbing meds. Fast forward 4 weeks my vagina was still in pain I call them and they said wait until your 6 week checkup. I did. I ended up with labial adhesions due to tears of my labia not being treated properly after birth. I had to get cut open with not enough numbing meds and stitched apart. Dr. Kelemens said “isn’t it amazing how much pain the vagina can take after birth.” I wanted to kick her in the face. She wanted to send me back to work after 3 days. This hurt more than delivery. I begged for 2 week and she gave me ONE week to heal. Also she LIED on her reports saying that after I gave birth I only needed ONE stitch. I felt it all and it was way more than ONE stitch. Never again will I go back. My birth experience was a nightmare. I felt like a piece of cattle.

I was very unhappy with my recent visit at the women care center in Willow Grove. When I first walk in no one greeted me or said anything to me. So I said "Good Morning" in a cheerful way and the lady at the front responded what did you say. Then I replied and said I said good morning she says oh Good morning. With this being my first initial visit I was very uncomfortable from there. Neither the less I thought she has nothing to do with physician seeing me. The Ma who called me back was very polite I must say. Then when the physician came in she was pleasant but kind of brushed me off. I told her some things I was concerned about and instead of her actually checking or running test to reassure me. She states I didnt see anything I wouldnt worry about it. I personally have work in gyn in 10 years and have loved my past physicians and had great relationships with them. I also work in healthcare and you should show your patients empathy and act like you actually care. Me personally I wont be returning. I will travel the extra miles to go somewhere where you feel welcomed. Not a great experience at all.

Ive been a patient here for a few months now and I must say getting hold of a nurse or anyone is like pulling teeth. Its a hit or miss with the doctors, Dr.Shea is the only one who made me feel comfortable after each visit. Also their system has been down for over a week now which means you cant schedule or reschedule your appointment. I call every other day in hopes its back up and im usually greeted nicely and assured it will be fixed shortly,no problem Ill try again next time. But today I got a very snippy rude young lady. Im truly considering a different hospital at this point. Its one inconvenience after another. Disappointed.

I have been a patient at this office for over 13 years. Ive had 2 of my 3 kids with this practice and always been very happy. I called to make an appointment after not being seen for 4 years. When I scheduled my appointment I was asked for a credit card number, because if I dont show up for an appointment they want to charge my card. Ive been to all different doctors and different practices and never before has my appointment been contingent on credit card information. The representative wouldnt schedule an appointment without a card, so I canceled the appointment and will have to look for another practice. Im disgusted!!!

I had an excellent experiencing with the practice.. I started as a regular patient and saw both nurses Becky and Libby, they were both very thorough and helped me with all my needs. When I later became a prenatal patient, I again met with all doctors. Everyone took the time to explain all concerns I had. Eventually when I was in delivery and experienced complications, Dr. Klemens took the time out to reassure me everything will be fine and ease my mind. Overall the entire practice is a A+
