I went in for my follow-up appointment today but I was told it would be with a different PA, JoEllyn Dyson. I was getting my warts on my feet frozen off with liquid nitrogen and when she came into the room, she asked if I was going to take off my pants? I asked what she meant and then she asked where the warts were, which should have been obvious because the nurse already had me take my shoes off. So not only was she not really paying attention, she also hadnt read the forms I filled out 15 minutes prior stating what and where the warts were. She began examining my feet and the nurse asked her approx. how many there were. She said a number and I corrected her since it was nowhere near the correct number. She actually rolled her eyes at me. I tried telling her more about the warts- which ones hurt more than others, all the areas they were- but she kept brushing me off and not listening to what I had to say, all the while seeming eager to leave. She began freezing the warts, but was not very kind at all about it. Instead of pulsing it like the last PA did in my last appointment, she continuously sprayed the warts for a much longer time than I thought was appropriate. Even after I asked if she could pulse it she just sprayed like she was before. I then asked her if we could take a break for a second and she stopped for probably 5 seconds before continuing. She asked if I needed pain medication and I told her no because last time I just took ibuprofen. She then leaned out the door and ordered me pain medication. I left thinking I would never go back again. Well the next day, a blood blister the size of a nickel had formed on one of the warts. It was huge, and painful to walk on at all. I scheduled an appointment and the nurse said I could come in and a nurse would cleanly pop it for me without a problem. When I got there I told the nurse how cold and rude the PA was last time. I suppose the person on the phone told me wrong, because the nurse wasnt allowed to do it for me. But guess who was the only available qualified person to do it? Thats right, Jocelyn Dyson. I stood up and told the nurse Id rather go home and do it myself if that was the case and she said that was fine with her and told me how to sterilely do it myself. But when I was walking out, Dyson saw me and basically pressured me back into the room. Reluctantly, I went in where she, again, was very forceful with everything she did. I am a 21 year old girl but I began crying because I felt like I didnt have a voice with her. She didnt know I was crying because of how she was treating me. She tried soothing me while pulling out a razor sharp scalpel. I pulled my foot off her lap and told her never mind, I was going home, but she pulled my ankle back onto her lap and held it there. She persuaded me to let her do it, although I didnt feel like I had a choice. I will now be finding a new dermatology office.

Terrible experience. It did not take long for my wife and I to realize why they had a wait list that was a few months shorter then anyone else in the greater Nashville area. We went to the Nashville office to look into what we thought were some type of insect bites but wanted to make sure. We were told there was no way it could be insect bites and were provided some medication and set a follow up appointment. During our next visit they seemingly forgot they told us it could not be insect bites and stated it was insect bites. They then performed a biopsy on my wife so they could determine the type of insect bite that had occurred. The biopsy performed has left a scare that has still not faded (over 4 months now). When we came to get our results they told us it was an insect bite but that a biopsy would not be able to tell us the type of bite that occurred, which obviously makes no sense since this was the exact reason they told us they needed to get the biopsy. They also prescribed numerous types of medication that were costly during the process and prescribed the wrong amount on our last visit, which resulted in unknowingly paying the pharmacist an additional $80+. The result of three visits here was expenses totaling over $500 while receiving conflicting information on each visit and never receiving the answer we sought or the solution we needed when we came in. We also did not see the doctor on one visit and were only provided "treatment" by a PA and nurse. Additionally, when receiving the bill, we had a few questions so we called in to have a few questions relating to the bill answered (i.e., copayment, etc.). We never received a call back (after waiting about a month) until today when we received a call stating the bill was going to go to collections if we did not pay it. I find this extremely unprofessional as we had attempted to pay the bill but wanted our questions answered first. Again, I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Called yesterday to make an appointment. Was told the first appointment was Thursday. I am a returning patient so they have all my insurance info. Their rep asked if my insurance number was the same. I said that I believed it had not changed. She asked me to verify the number but I did not have the card with me. She told me to call back when I had the card. I said I would bring it with me Thursday. She said they would cancel my appointment if I did not call back. I said so you will cancel my appointment if I dont call you back? She said yes that is the policy. I just cancelled the appointment and went to another doctor. BTW, the number they have on file is the correct number. Your employees should have enough sense to allow a returning patient to present their insurance card the day they visit the office and not threaten them with cancelling the appointment. Sure I could have gone home and found the card and called back to verify but when you threaten to cancel my appointment if I dont then I will just find a doctor who is more patient-centered.

I had a great experience at the Skin Solutions location in Franklin, TN. I called all over Franklin looking for a dermatologist to book an appointment with; but, with most offices that I called you either had to book two months out or they did not take insurance. With Skin Solutions, I was able to get an appointment in the very same week that I called to book it and they took my insurance. I was in and out in no time at all. I went in to have a facial wart removed and a facial mole shaved off. I had hardly any wait time and they have a way cool and more efficient way of filling out the paper work. You answer questions by checking boxes on a electronic pad. How great is that. No one likes writing out medical information on a clip board on their lap. The process and treatment was very fast and painless. I really liked the personality and friendliness of my provider (Kelsy). She had a great sense of humor and made me feel at ease. I would highly recommend this provider friend..
