I know this is LONG overdue, about 20 years, but I would like to take the time and thank ALL of the staff at, in my opinion is the BEST vet office around, Animal Health Care Center of Arlington. They have seen all of our babies, cats and dogs, from the little check ups to the very serious "I dont want to think abouts". They have not only helped our babies, but have allowed me to cry on their shoulders. Thank you Jaz and Dr. Rachal, when the good Lord has called on our older babies, Buster, Zoe, Maggie, and Coco. I can not thank them enough for all of their kindness and support. Twenty years ago, I found Dr. Ds office when I was looking for a reasonably priced vet to neuter our male cat. Now, I come because of trust. Believe me, I have tried other vets, only because Ive moved 40 minutes away, but NO OTHER VET comes close to the quality of care and compassion that we receive at AHCC of Arlington. Thank you staff....for doing what you do. (I know, LONG overdue, but better late than never.)

Run dont walk away from this Animal Care Center! I took a foster who has grade 5/6 congestive heart failure for diagnoses. After bloodwork was done, they completely missed that he also suffered from Hypothyroidism. I had no idea but after I told Dr. Rachel we feed home made raw (including chicken and chicken organ parts, brocolli, carrots, greenbeans, apples, pumpkin, eggs, oatmeal, etc) she informed me dogs are omnivores, not carnivores. I guess where she shops they keep fruit and veggies on the meat counter. She also suggested blood work every 6 months, I was so unhappy I took him to my personal vet for a second opinion, we re tested him and found the thyroid issue, and my vet suggested blood work every 6 weeks so we can catch any changes and adjust his medications. Dr. Rachel gave him 6 -12 months to live. As a result of taking him to a knowledgeable vet, he is still here happy and doing well 21 months later. Had he remained in Dr. Rachels care, he would have perished long ago.

I definitely recommend Animal Health Care Center. The Doctors there not only provide excellent conventional veterinary care, but also offer safe, holistic approaches to addressing the health care my dogs and cats need, always mindful of providing them with quality of life. They discuss the various options, potential side-effects and possible outcomes in a straight-forward manner so that I can make the best informed decisions for the health care of my fur-babies. Their integrative, compassionate comprehensive approach to animal health care is comforting to me and my animals when health care intervention is necessary. Although we dont need to see them often, they are the only vets in the area I would consider for the health care of my furry family. Thank you Dr. Rachal, Dr. Dittrich and staff for being open-minded to your patients caretakers and providing alternative options!

Saved my cats life, had no money after he ingested something toxic and started seizing out, after spending about 15 minutes calling different vets and telling them I had no money, they were pretty much the only one to tell me to come on down. Even let me work out a payment plan with them, as NO OTHERS in the area would even consider it when I called them. They didnt send the bounty hunters after me, but if you try this scam with them, Ill gladly freelance a bounty hunter for them :) Theyre the best. The only negative review here seems to be from a "rude" nurse. Give her a break! She made had just had to put down a small kitty, you dont know. These girls (and I think there one or two guys there) work hard, in an environment that would make most pet lovers cry daily. So good work!!

Animal Health Care Center is a knowledgeable, capable, compassionate vetting clinic. Their staff, from the receptionist desk to the vet techs to the boarding group, is willing and prepared to go above and beyond. As a long time client I have not only received top notch care but have seen how other clients are taken care of. From my first visit to now, almost 3 years later, the quality of service and care has only improved. Dr. Dittrich is straightforward and very caring. The new vet on board, Dr. Rachal, is informative and takes the time to listen to your concerns and questions. I drive a good distance to use this facility and dont mind it, they make it worth it!

Came here about a year ago to get my cat declawed and fixed. Decided to get blood work done while I was there. Everything came back fine, no problems with the blood work. When she came home after surgery she was tired and hiding like I expected. A few days later she stopped eating so I brought her back. They charged me $1000 to do "exploratory surgery" and she ended up dying from "cancer" which didnt come back in the blood work. They refunded me $300 thinking that that could some how make up for the loss of my best friend. Never coming here again!

I really want to give a 5 star. The doctors are wonderful! I am extremely picky, as I worked as a vet tech and trained reception for 15 years. However, the customer service sometimes is not great at all. If I am on the schedule, you shouldnt need to ask who I am. Greet me with enthusiasm. Im going to tell others if I felt welcome or not. Expect me to ask questions and have an opinion. Be glad that I take an active roll in my pets health and be happy to discuss these questions. That said, once again the doctors are outstanding!

The establishment appeared very clean and well kept, however Dr. Cyndi Rachal was extremely unpleasant to be around. She seemed like she could care less about the owners and only cared about the money. Its a shame that she chose to be in the healthcare industry because many others in distress will have to deal with her and she is tarnishing the reputation of an otherwise decent establishment. With that being said, I will NEVER patronize Animal Healthcare Center again and will not be recommending to others.

We have been taking our cat and dog to Animal Health Care Center for two years now - both for health care and boarding - and they have always taken outstanding care of both of our pets. We have seen Dr Rachal several times and know that she is an excellent vet! We have lived in the Arlington area for over 10 years now and have been to several animal clinics and emergency hospitals in the past. We trust our four-legged "kids" with them!

I waited 40 minutes in line to pick up my dog after surgery because an angry customer was disputing her bill. She should have been taken to another room and the bill handled privately. There were about 8 people behind me waiting to pick up their animals as well. Very unprofessional. Instead the waiting room full of people to pick up their animals heard every word, bad for business. We will not be returning to this clinic.

I am so happy that I took my puppy here for an emergency examination! They got her back superfast and took amazing care of her! They informed me of everything they were doing and made me feel very good and like she was in perfect hands! Jazmine was so sweet to my little baby and turns out all she had was an upset stomach! Sent home medicine and explained it all for me and this will for sure be her new regular vet!
