My mother and i were new to Texas and often find it hard to find the right doctor every time we move. We had an appt for 10 am. we got there half an hour early, and were not even acknowledged until 10:45, only AFTER we asked about our appt. We were then sat in an examination room and forgotten. Half an hour later, i walked out of the examination room to ask the staff where the doctor was when the doctor [Nancy Opara] walked slowly out of the break room with a rude expression on her face. She was short with us, and didnt listen to anything we were trying to ask her. We left TWO and a HALF hours after out scheduled appt. I had to go back two weeks later to get even WORSE treatment. When Opara came into the office again, LATE 45 minutes, she trampled in with her hair unbrushed and didnt say a word. No greeting, no acknowledgment. The office then told me my contacts would be in one week later, and that theyd contact me. Surprise, surprise, i had to call them only for the clerk to say "can you hold please *click*. oh yeah, ill look them up and call you back. name and number." when i told her the information, SHE HUNG UP ON ME. and even STILL, SIX HOURS LATER, she has not called me back. These people are the rudest, slowest, and meanest people. I will NEVER go back to this retarded doctor again!

Every single visit, I wait at least an hour to be seen even though I make appointments well in advance. They put my daughter in contacts that had to be changed every 2 weeks, but insurance will only provide 12 sets of contacts, not 24. On my last visit, I inquired about getting her into contacts that are changed monthly so that insurance would cover and I was told "Oh, those are better contacts anyway. Im not sure why we didnt have her in those to start with". The staff is rude and impatient. They have never once called when my childrens glasses or contacts arrive. I always have to do the follow up myself. If you are needing glasses, plan to wait another hour for the technician to help you. I am trying to find out if my daughters contacts have arrived now and I have called for 2 days only to be greeted with an automated message that their mailbox is full. So...I cant get a hold of them, nor can I leave a message. Poor service all around. Avoid this place at all cost!

I have been a satisfied patient of Dr. Opara for close to ten years. I am continually appreciative of her ability to make me feel important. From asking how my day is, to remembering the names and ages of my children I realize that I am not only dealing with a true professional but a caring person. As a result of her skill and reputation she is often busy, which has resulted in longer than anticipated waits. However, I understand that there is a price for good service, and from my experience with Dr. Opara it is and has always been well worth the wait. If you are seeking a competent, thoughtful, personable optometrist with unbeatable prices. Dr. Opara is the right woman for the job.

The front staff is rude and inconsiderate. Every time we go there is some sort of problem. Rather it be them forgetting about us in the room for over an hour (due to the Dr. Running late/ should have communicated before sticking us in the room) or literally waiting for more than 45 mins to be seen then let a walk in patient go before us. Filthy office as well. Very unproffesional. I tried this place again after 5 years hoping for a better experience but it is worst. Will not be back. Save yourself the headache, TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSE WHERE.

Our boys have special vision needs, and this is the only place on our insurance that carries baby glasses. We go to an ophthalmologist for our vision exams (not this doctor), but we get great frames here. Their business manager is very helpful and and supportive of our unusual needs and has given us so much personal attention. A great place to buy glasses.

I am always nervous seeing new Doctors, but am so lucky to have found a very informative and caring optometrist here. We have found our new family eye center.
