Ill start off by saying I have never had a good experience with the dentist. I am one of those lucky patients who, no matter how much I brush and floss every day, I end up at every appointment with a mouth full of cavities. Ive had dozens of fillings just in the last 5 years so I was hesitant as always to make an appointment with a new dentist when I moved to Texas. I can say with confidence that I have never had a better dental experience than I did at Heathy Smiles. Every single person on staff is kind, friendly, and made me feel comfortable in my less-than-ideal situation. Dr. Rux is the perfect balance of humor and professionalism. I felt safe and confident in his skilled hands even if our first interaction was a fairly extensive procedure. He listened to my concerns with my weak enamel and jaw issues and gave great advice regarding my options. He has his patients best interests in mind which was both welcomed and refreshing. Now Melody is one of the sweetest receptionists I have had the pleasure of meeting and is LIGHTNING FAST at responding to emails. She is also incredibly knowledgeable when it came to the questions I had about my teeth, and gave me some dietary advice that, had I heard it years ago, could have saved me thousands of dollars in dental fees. Healthy Smiles knows what they are talking about - my only regret is that they are not in California where I am moving back to, and Im afraid I have been spoiled now with exceptional service and experience. I recommend this office to everyone I know. If you are in the Austin/Lakeway area I wouldnt trust my teeth with anyone else! Love you guys!

My family has moved many times and one of the most challenging tasks involved is finding a new dentist. We feel so lucky to have found Dr. Rux! Of all the places weve lived, he is by far the best dentist and his staff is amazing as well. The whole process (scheduling appointments, wait times, atmosphere, level of expertise and billing) is convenient and painless. Ive always been an anxious dental patient and Dr Rux not only put me at ease, but gave me a few strategies to ease the stress. Moving around a lot, we have noticed certain trends in the dental industry and I think its important to note that Dr Rux really cares about the health of his patients. He has never up-sold us products and he doesnt drill when its unnesssary. My husband and I like Healthy Smiles so much, we started taking our sons there rather than the local pediatric dentist. Weve all been patients for several years and have never had an unpleasant experience. My oldest is living in Dallas now, but comes home to see Dr. Rux rather than trying to find a more convenient dentist in his area. Healthy Smiles is the best!

My family and I have great dental insurance, but for one reason or another we have bounced around from dentist to dentist because of dropped coverage. We found Healthy Smiles of Lakeway about 2 years ago and I hope and pray we NEVER have to go to another dentist. Dr. Rux and his staff are wonderful. Melody at the front desk is always timely with call backs and is very helpful/knowledgeable with insurance information and flexible with my families hectic schedule. I never feel like just another patient when I come in for cleanings or dental work. I always feel like Dr. Rux and the entire staff have a vested interest in me and my family and our dental needs. An absolute great experience. They agreed on seeing me on the weekend for emergency right before Thanksgiving. I am usually not a big fan of dentists, but this perspective changed when I went there. Everyone over there is really friendly, wants to help and will try to make you feel as much comfortable as they can. There was a problem with my insurance not wanting to cover my visits, but they fought against them on my behalf, and I never had to do anything personally. Dr. Rux is a great doctor and he really cares for his patients. Having the experience of going to different dentists in the past, I have to say that Dr. Rux is totally different in all aspects. I recommend anyone to go there if they are looking for a good dentist.

I went to see Dr. Gosney for my check-up after months of procrastinating due to serious dental phobia. She and her staff were so attentive to my fears and were able to help me relax for a cleaning and evaluation. It was a piece of cake! Dr. Gosney was so patient, kind, gentle and understanding. I truly felt like she empathized with me and completely put me at ease. I need two fillings replaced and have an appointment this week to get them done...Im not too nervous and Im looking forward to trying the laughing gas. I was so impressed with her that Ive moved my children from the pediatric dentist they were seeing to Dr. Gosneys office. (She sees children as well.) I would highly recommend her to anyone!

A few days after I moved to Austin, I cracked a tooth. A coworker recommended his dentist, Dr. Gosney at Healthy Smiles of Lakeway. I was very nervous because I had the same dentist almost my entire life before moving to Austin. Dr. Gosney was wonderful. She stayed late to finish my treatment and called to check on my over the weekend. Her office is beautiful and relaxing. She has an office with really great technology including a camera that enabled her to show me the tooth throughout the treatment. I watched television and relaxed (as much as I could) while she did the initial crown. Four of my co-workers now to go Dr. Gosney and love her as well. Great dentist!!!

Dr. Rux took all of the time to explain thoroughly the procedure and attributes of Invisalign. I could not ask for more from a practitioner. The facilities were modern and have all that one could ask for if they are exploring getting braces. He came highly recommended and I was not disappointed. I am 70 years old and have always wanted to get braces...now, that time as arrived and I am looking forward to the relationship with Healthy Smiles...simply the best.

Dr. Rux is incredibly helpful, conscientious, and gentle. Im terrified of the dentist, but Dr. Rux made the experience an enjoyable one. I initially went in for a routine cleaning but had such a great experience that I came back to finish up dental work I had been putting off for years. After a few whitening treatments and Invisalign from Dr. Rux, I am happier with my smile than ever. I highly recommend Dr. Rux for everyone!
