My family visited Dr. Carters office, no complain regarding the physician! but the office manager is one mean, greedy and unprofesional. She charged us twice for the same service and the insurance company refused to pay for it and we disputed the duplicate charges for my sons schadule shot appointment, we were charged the regual copayment and the balance was billed to the insurance company and the nurse told my wife to bring my son with his record to get the shot next day and she told her that no need to see the doctor and the she (nurse) will provide the shot, the service is already billed under todays date. next day she gave my son the shot and did not ask for second copayment or any other charge, but the office manager later tried to collect the money from us after insurance company refuse to pay her duplicate billing under two separate days!!! We refused to pay for the service which was due from day before and stop going to her office! Never got a chance to speak with the Doctor or Owner regarding the problem, disputed with credit bureau several time but the greedy, unprofesional office manager filed with the collection agency. I do not know if she is owner or one of the doctor wife! Shame on her, she creating bad image for other medical profesionals!!!

While Dr. Carter has great bedside manner, genuinely cares about his patients, his office staff is unprofessional, does not keep patient appointments, and when attempting to reschedule, their general demeanor is both condescending and downright rude. Ive been going to Dr. Carters office for many years. Hes the first general practitioner Ive found in Dallas that I really liked going to. After several phone calls, and a couple of emails (the last of which was never returned by Dr. Carter) Ive decided I wont be going back here. I set a 10:45am appointment, showed up at 10:22am, and at 11:06am finally asked why I had not been seen yet. Several patients had left the patient-area, and no one was in the waiting room at this time. I was told it would still be a while and the office staff I dealt with insisted my appointment was at 11:00 am and not 10:45am, and that Id shown up way too early. She also stated no beds or rooms were available, but at least 3 people had left the patient area with no new people being admitted. Its unfortunate a business is run by rude office staff who lack customer service skills, but thats certainly the case here. Disappointing.

Dr Carter, my all time favorite Doctor. I do have to agree that his staff can be surprisingly rude at times though. I long ago determined that if you need anything from his office that is better to just make an appointment and go talk to him. He is very patient and is one of the few Doctors left that will actually sit and talk to you until he has a true understanding of your issue. Dont you just hate it when the only time you ask a Doctor a question he only answers you as he is backing out of the door? Dr Carter will actually sit down and TALK. It is great, he is a good doctor.

He is amazing! Very wise and can diagnose and treat almost anything. What I love most about Dr. Carter is that he doesnt just prescribe pharmaceuticals, he also uses natural remedies. This is a big deal to me as I do not want to take a lot of man made pharmaceuticals and would rather use God made remedies for healing.

I have to agree with the others. Ive been going to Dr. Carter for close to three years now and hes awesome but the staff is lacking in customer service and communication after your office visit.

If you have to go to the doctor, you want one who is understanding, patient, knowledgeable and most important he takes the time with you and he cares. Highly recommend.
