This is absolutely the worst hospital i have ever experienced. If I could give it negative stars, I would. The staff is lazy and doesnt communicate well at all. There some staff members that are kind and sensitive to patients needs but that is about 2% of the staff. It takes forever for the staff to come to your room when you use the call light, if they even show up at all. They staff through an agency and barely anyone speaks clear English. They are rough, rude and do not show any empathy towards towards their patients. I have contacted the CEO of the facility but nothing was done about it. He claimed he would take care of it but no results came about. On our first night, the respiratory tech, Simon, was very rough with my wife right in front of me and proceeded to deny it when I called him out on it. An xray tech decided he wanted to grab my wife by the back of the neck and pull her up by himself when he knew it took two people to lift her. He was terminated but that should not have happened in the first place had he been trained properly. There is a house supervisor there named David that is the rudest person I have ever met. He will not return phone calls when voicemails are left. I called to check on my wife while I was at work and never heard back. When I arrived after my shift, he was just standing around joking with the staff and didnt seem too interested in doing his job. If you want information, you may as well get a copy of the medical report and try to figure it out yourself because the staff does not seem to do know anything. My wife has been contagious for weeks now and no one has informed me or anyone that has been in her room that she is contagious. It wasnt until she transferred to a physical rehabilitation center that i was informed that she was contagious. Select also does not keep accurate records of their patients. They put in my wifes records that she has had procedures that she has never had. They leave out procedures that she has actually had. If you want your family member to be ignored and mistreated, by all means, take them to Select Specialty Hospital in Carrollton. If you want your family member to be taken care of, please take them somewhere else. If I could go back in time to before she transferred, I would in a heart beat.

I have been at Select Specialty Hospital for a few weeks now and the wound care program is by far superior to any other wound care Ive had thus far during my illness. They have weekly care conference meetings to discuss my progress and goals which is very helpful to me in measuring my progress, additionally, my family is involved in the conferences and they make everyone feel included and solicit input from everyone. Not only does the nurse check on me, but the techs, CNO, CEO, House Supervisor and Director of Quality all check in on a regular basis. They are very attentive to my emotional well-being and treat the person as a whole. The facility is beautiful and so clean, and I bet you could eat off of the floors. My husband even commented on how this is the cleanest hospital he has ever seen. Everyone has a great attitude and is friendly. If my nurse is busy, someone else will always respond to my needs and they work as team. The call light also gets answered rapidly. I also cant say enough about how great the Respiratory Therapy and Rehab departments are as they create custom plans to fit your needs. I am also able to call the CEO, CNO and Case Manager directly if I have any questions and they respond immediately. The staff always help to lift me up during this difficult time and several have even prayed with me. I cant say enough good things about this place and the empathy, compassion and genuine care that they show. Ty the CEO and Ellen the CNO run this place runs like a well-oiled machine and I am so very grateful for everyone that has treated me like family that are helping me to get my health and life back. Ive never seen so much passion in a Hospital. I wouldnt hesitate to recommend this Hospital to anyone that I know!

My wife was a patient at Select Specialty Hospital in Carrollton two times in the last year. First we were at Select in August, 2016 and then my wife was put back into the hospital in July, 2017 for respiratory failure and pneumonia and was sent back to Select. When we were there in 2016 we had some minor issues, but in 2017 I have to say that we had a totally different experience. The staff was all so nice and caring. The Quality Manager, Chief Nurse and CEO all came by to check on us regularly and were all so knowledgeable and showed compassion toward my wife. They even gave us their personal cell phone numbers and I was able to call them for any questions. The physicians were all top notch as well and there are too many to name here. Additionally, everything is very clean and organized and its also nice to have a private room. The food seems to have improved as well. But most importantly, they were able to give my wife her life back, which I WILL ALWAYS BE GRATEFUL FOR.

After seeing the reviews I was very hesitant when a family member had to go here. To no surprise the reviews were spot on. The staff was rude and very lazy. My relative didnt ask for much but the couple of times she rang for help they either never came or made her feel guilty for asking for assistance. And dont even get me started on their lack of knowledge of the medicine they were giving out or even the time table in which they were supposed to give it. Worst experience ever and I am glad my family member is out of there. For a a place that is supposed to be there to help others I constantly saw them cutting corners. This was no evident then when a nurse with visitors in the room decided to cut corners signing off on making her rounds hours in advance (see picture). Guess she was ready to go home!! No Excuse for that when it is your job. STAY CLEAR of this place.

This hospital helped my mom at the age of 75 get her life back. I admit the apperance of the hospital had me concerned but the doctors and nurses took great care of her. The doctors took time to visit with my family to go over her treatment and prognosis. My moms appendix burst at the age of 75 and she was very sick from the poisons that got into her system. I have another close relative in another specialty hospital and the communication between the doctors and the family is nil. I strongly believe that communication is key to help the family of a loved one understand cope while the patient is recovering. Specialty Select in Carrollton understood our concerns as family menbers of the patient and set up meetings with the doctors and the director of the hospital and addressed our concerns accordingly. Mom is home and doing well.
