I went in because I was having issues with muffled hearing in both ears. Kelsey-Seybold is close to my office and it was convenient for me. I assumed it was allergy-related but I hadnt had this symptom before so I wanted to check and be sure it wasnt something more. They couldnt find anything wrong but they did say there was some wax in my ears and asked if I wanted them to irrigate my ears while I was there. I said sure. It didnt help, they werent able to get wax out and it actually made the muffling worse. A few weeks later I get a bill for $120. After calling my insurance I found that this irrigation was billed as a surgical procedure! This irrigation that took all of 5 minutes and didnt work was billed as a surgical procedure. I was not told this was not part of my office visit and would be billed as such. After many phone calls this has still not been resolved, and Im probably going to end up paying the bill because I have worked hard to have good credit and Im not going to let this affect it. But I feel like I was misled by the doctor there. Customer service is horrible. I do NOT recommend Kelsey-Seybold Downtown at the Shops. It is worth it for me to drive a little further to get better care.

Worst doctors I've ever experienced. I took my first son here several times before trying another practice. These doctors are out of their minds. They have no idea how to treat children. I brought my son in for a high fever and we spent hours there. The technician stuck him four times and was unable to get enough blood though she half filled four tubes. The gave him a catheter to test for urinary tract infection. Did four X-rays of his head to check for sinus infection, and were going to do more but I made them stop. My son cried so hard for hours I was in tears too. At our new doctor they tested for all these things with a finger prick and a few drops of blood, simply waiting for my son to pee in a bag and testing a sample of mucus from his nose. Not a single tear. If you have children, please do not let the doctors at Kelsey Seybold torture them. It is totally unnecessary.

I am not pleased with their service. They bill incorrectly - coding routine tests as medical, which should have been coded as preventive, when one goes for an annual physical exam (they even charged me for venipuncture, blood draw, that is required if you are going to do any preventive tests on a blood sample). Insurance says they will pay if tests are coded as preventive, but not if they are coded as medical. Besides, there is usually no follow-up after you see them, and getting refills means you have to visit them every single time, for which they charge handsomely, even if you have been on the same medication for years. Being on high-deductible plans (which is where the insurance industry is headed) means most of these costs are now shifted to customers. Very sick system needing health reform of its own - I am disgusted.

Holy crap, what a turd of a place. Avoid them at ALL costs. They charged $270 for a doctor to see me for the first time -- milked my MRA. My normal doctor charges $75. Kelsey-Seybold did absolutely nothing. They listened to my issues, threw their hands up in the air and said, "Nope, I cant do anything about this -- thats for a specialist" without trying to do a thing. My total time with them was about 5 minutes. They never disclosed their charges or billing in advance. $270 for a first-time visit. Ridiculous. I will never, ever, ever, ever, ever use them again, and Ill be sure the entire world knows it. Trust the 1-star reviews and go to a private practice somewhere else.

Im pretty suprised by the other reviews. I, too, have had good experiences here. Ive been going this location for about 4 years and have seen a dermatologist, OBGYN, and general practitioner. I did have one visit with a doctor where I felt she wasnt fully listening to my issues but that was the only time in four years I wasnt completely satisfied. The receptionists are always friendly and welcoming, which is exactly the environment you need when going to a doctor! OBGYN - Dr. Francis Smith is WONDERFUL!

Terrible experience. I have never written a review before, but the treatment I received at Kelsey Seybold was so awful I had to write a review. The doctor was not only extremely rude, but she prolonged my illness because she did not write a prescription for the correct dosage. Two additional copays later, I finally have correct dosage. Again, absolutely terrible experience and thanks to Dr. S. I will not get to enjoy my Thanksgiving because I am still sick.

Given the run around about my results..had to constantly come back and redo things that shouldve been done right the first time. Was prescribed a cream that cost $215 once that wasnt covered by insurance that I didnt even need. They are convenient if you work downtown and quick to see you but its not a good place..I could go on but Ill stop here :).. I hope they see this review too

The doctors and nurses that I have interacted with have been great. Right next to work and appointment wait time is minimal, I often even get same day appointments!! They also do lab work in house and book specialist appointments for you. Seeing a specialist in days instead of weeks or months is AMAZING.

I saw Dr Gifford yesterday for a mole/skin cancer check. The facility is flawless, the staff very friendly and chatty, and Dr Gifford is a very personable and professional doctor. I highly recommend. I was able to get two moles removed straight away, without having to reschedule for another visit.

Ive been going here for over 3 years now and have never had a bad experience. The doctors are very friendly and understanding. Ive never had to really wait more than 10 minutes in the waiting room either. Their system is very streamlined and impressive compared to other clinics Ive been in.
