So I finally got my results in from the my paps. The lady who called me gave me the news that I tested negative for HPV, however there were abnormal cell growth. Upon further inquiries regarding the specifics of the abnormal cell growth none was provided. She literally told be to happy that the HPV tested negative and started stammering when it came to the conversation about the abnormal cells. It was clear that I was WAY more knowledgeable about cell growth then she was. I do not understand as to why they hire people who have no knowledge of cell abnormality. Simple questions like what category of cell growth, and to what degree of severity is the growth (low, moderate, or high). Nothing, oh come in for your regular yearly paps next year. WTF? I waited for my results in the mail, because clearly they had no idea how to read the results. Upon reviewing my results, with help of the interwebs, I noticed that I have undetermined ASUS Epithelial cell abnormality. The representative should have said, "you have undetermined abnormal cell growth and in order to determine whats going on you need a colonoscopy. Would you like to schedule one? Here is the doctors availability for one..." I got nothing. I got focus on the positive that you are HPV negative... are you kidding me. I am a grown woman. I need to determine what is going on with my body and what is the best course of action to deal with the abnormal cell growth I do have. I would not recommend Marcus Barnett, M.D. or his staff at all. This entire experience was just absolutely unprofessional and unacceptable. I would highly suggest hiring staff that is knowledgeable about their job field to assist people properly when patients have inquiries, because uncertainty is the worst. Be direct, transparent, and forthcoming about the information. If you are not knowledgeable about something, then just say so or transfer me to someone who has more information. This was very much mishandled. I am very unhappy indeed.

What a horrible experience. I was reffered to this doctor by the ER I went to. My initial appointment was to see if I needed surgery. I called a week ahead of time and gave them all the information to get my records from the ER. When I get to the office they tell me they dont have the paper work. The doctor didnt even talk to me except to say, "Hi, were working on getting your records" After 45 minutes they tell me they have other patients and need to get me out of there. So I reschedule my appointment for another day. I come in that day and the Dr. Barnett does not examine me, he reads the ultrasound report in front of me, draws a picture on the back so I can better understand and tells me, come back in 2 months to get another ultrasound. That was it. I get a bill in the mail for $480 a few weeks later for both visits. Im outraged, apparently they do not take marketplace insurance. My insurance card says right on the front "MARKETPLACE COVERAGE" They had 2 chances to tell me they do not take my insurance.. but why are they charging me $480? They didnt do anything to me except waste my time. I will never return here and will make sure that no one else does either.

Booked an appointment and they gave me wrong location directions. Had to wait an hour and a half to be seen and wanted to charge me $98 just to speak with him. Asked him simple question about if he could preform tubular ligation or not. After i told him i didnt have nor do i want kids he said he would not do it. The conversation should have ended there, but he persisted to give me his opinion about why he wont do it. I was not seeking his ethical/moral/religious opinions. He told me he had a right to express his opinions because it was a free country. Last time i checked as a woman in my mid 30s i should have a right to be sterilized if i choose to. It was a simple yes or no question and he didnt have to try to explain himself when i really dont want to hear. Do your job and dont try to force your judgement on others. Really did not appreciate him at all.

My experience before labor and delirvery was about what I expected- long wait times (even with an appointment it was typically an hour long wait) and I rarely saw my doctor (typically someone else assisted me unless it was the first few appointments or the last few). However, I am forever grateful for his experience and expertise during the labor and delivery process. I had a fever which increased my babys heart rate. He suggested an emergency c-section and Im glad I did it because I had an infection of the placenta that could have been transferred to my baby. The surgery was quick and painless and he checked on me after to make sure I was okay. If he had not made that quick decision, it could have been a much worse result for me and my baby. He is definitely the skilled and knowledgeable doctor we needed that day!

I LOVE Dr. Barnett. I have been going to him for almost 18 years. He is patient, kind, attentive, and extremely knowledgeable. He has delivered my youngest with an emergency C-section and saved my childs life. He also showed up at the ER at 4am on a Sunday morning when I was suffering a miscarriage. I will forever be grateful for his compassion, professionalism, and bedside manner. I would give him 10 stars if I could. I understand that sometimes the wait time to get in is lengthy, but he takes his time with every patient. I have never felt rushed or been treated rudely. I would much rather wait for him to see me with his knowledge and skill than be able to get in an out quickly with someone without his experience. I highly recommend him.

Seriously terrible and unprofessional. They do not respect your time and could care less about it. Billing practices seem ify too. For some reason their staff keeps changing which makes me worried about my personal information. They do what they want On their time. No matter how urgent it is for the patient. I guess they forget that we pay them for service. No apologies for the unnecessary wait either. Find another doctor because this is added stress that no pregnant woman needs. Especially from their OBGYN. Its sad but Doctor Barnett should really reconsider his team because they are bringing him down at a rapid pace. I wish I had chosen another doctor because of it.

I have been going to Dr. B for about 8 years. I love him and his staff! They are informative and give you the time you deserve. Dr. B tells you like it is. I had a serious issue and wanted to do certain things and he told me absolutely not. He sat down and explained that my kids life and mine are more important than new technology stuff. He answers alll of my questions and never held back. Thats what I love about him. Bedside mannerisms are amazing, the wait is the only thing that is a bit annoying, but good things come in time lol. I have to wait 15-30 minutes and he spends all the time I need with him. Great, great doctor!!

My mother has been a patient with him over 20 years, but when Dr. Barnett goes out out of town, his staff first responds to me and tells me that even after she went to the ER that they cant see her till she is 10 weeks and then they tell me that the doctor doesnt see high risk patients. I have never heard of a doctor ever doing that never again will we use him until he gets better staff.
