I could not be more disappointed with the horrendous service I experienced at this clinic. If I could get it shut down I would. I took my dog there at 3 in the morning this weekend for an allergic reaction. The lady was completely uncaring and rude to us. She said the doctor was in surgery so she could not help me for another hour. We decided to wait since it was the only clinic open. She took us to a room that not only reeked of urine but she slammed the clipboard on the table and blatantly told us to fill it out the paperwork. At this point my dogs swelling was getting worse so I was trying to calm him down since the clinic was giving me no help. She returned 10 minutes later and asked me why I had not filled it out. I said since they could not see me for another hour, that I would do it when I could because my dog was freaking out and in much pain. She rolled her eyes and walked out. If any of you have had a pet with an emergency issue you know how chaotic and scared it is to deal with a pet in pain. When she returned a second time I asked her if there was anything we could do for my dog until the doctor was here. I asked if she had seen this before and if he will be okay until the doctor can help me. All she said was, "If the doctor steps foot in here it will be $100.00. Thats all I can say." I looked at her in total shock. The she said, "Look I need to know if you can fill the paper work out and pay because we have another surgery we need to do." I told her there was no way in hell I was giving her my business and I would go else where. I carried my dog out and got in the car. At this point the (pardon my language) B*TCH, turned the lights off locked the the door and left. I will ensure that no one I know will be giving this awful place their business.

Nothing about this place would make me want to come back. Was forced to bring my dog in at about 11:30 for an emergency. The girl behind the desk at the front was very unpleasant. While trying to get my dog on the scale, she revealed the rear side of her that I cared not to see. I went in and within about 5 total minutes they sent me on my way with little to no reassurance my dog would be ok. Basically told me "they cant talk to us, so we really dont know". Hmm, not quite the answer you look for when take a dog to a veterinarian. Basically overall, I would only bring my dog here again if every other vet within 100 miles was closed and my dog was about to die. Other than that, youll probably waste your money. Also she gave me some nausea medication as she said just in case, even though my dog was not vomiting at all and hadnt done so in over 12 hours. I assumed that the way she gave them to me, that they were just a sample and free. No they charged me 30 dollars for the box and never used them. As you probably know, there are no returns on medication. I shouldve made sure the bill was right but I was pretty distraught with having a very sick pup. Make sure youre getting the meds you need not just something to tack on and make the bill bigger. Plus the place is just nasty. I get vet clinics deal with animals but I mean there was enough dog hair on the floor to give my bald grandpa a new "do". Girl behind the desk couldve been sweeping that up instead of doing nothing which is Im sure what she did the rest of the night. She almost hit me in the buttocks with the door when I walked out, to lock it and turn off the lights. Id pay more to go somewhere else. Just my experience.....

AVOID THE HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE ,the staff truly lacks empathy, we went in sunday my buddy was not normal ,low energy, his belly was a little bigger than usual,my first impression of the receptionist is that she hates her job,,she didnt even look at our face or greet us, just said fill this out they did a complete blood work, took his temp, and said it was cushings or an infection ,after 3 hours he recommended we leave him over night for an iv and antibiotics,to help him, by morning & $438.later,we picked him up in the morning, weer recommended to take him to another vet,,they forgot to remove his iv needle,i called him back & he said bring him back,,i was there 12min. later and the office was closed a tech was walking up & she said I;m not removing it ,weer closed, very rude!!,.I took him to Dr. Taylor that day and in 15min. 1 xray & felt his belly said its liver cancer,& helped me feel the tumors he had our buddy went to sleep peacefully in our arms. Had i known this i would have brought him home one more night then taken him to Dr. Taylors. So this vet is either not good @ his job or took advantage of our fears either way it makes him not a good vet,,,,my buddy only had a couple of days left,& he couldnt see this?! This place makes a bad situation worse,,they lack empathy, that receptionist attitude is unacceptable,, There is no need for that.If you need emercency care for a little buddy look for another place ,,,I certainly will not go back...

My dog had a seizure on Sunday night and we didnt know why hes never had anything like this before. They were able to determine he had a tick disease confirmed by lab work. He got sick 3 months ago and got better but apparently that was when he got the disease and he never fully got over it and it laid dormant until we changed our dogs diets on Friday and I guess that triggered this horrific seizure my puppy was experiencing. He stretched his neck and head up but continued to stretch and basically rolled over tightening every muscle in his body for what seemed like eternity while we were figuring out what is going on and why. He didnt stop this so I put him in truck and went to the clinic. I am very pleased with the service we received and they charged $390 for all the lab work, office/emergency vist and 3 different medications , 2 antibiotics and 1steroid. I could not ask for a more fair rate than that. You keep your business open during hours of "little or no profitability" but you choose to not gouge people who find themselves in a very scary and tumultuous chain of events. For that I am truly grateful and wish you and all who work for and at Small Animal Emergency Clinic all the happiness and joy a heart can contain. Thank you so much for being there when my dog needed you the most.

My small dog was not herself all day she started throwing up and we followed her outside and her waste was bloody. I called the clinic and the receptionist was kind and helpful, she asked if we could wait about 30 minutes because the vet was in a surgery. We made it to the clinic a little after 10 and the receptionist was waiting for us. The doctor was finishing up the surgery while we were settling in to our room. We could hear him talk to the owners of the dog that just had the emergency surgery, he was kind and reassuring. He examined our dog, Lucky and treated her calming and reassuring both her and the three of us. Lucky is much better and very happy they were there for us when we needed this place. I would like to say to the person that was upset because no one answered the phone. This is a small place, and a skeleton crew for an overnight shift. You might have to wait if you go there but what you see and hear may impress you.
