All my old dentists (6+ years ago) have reported that I have excellent teeth, and my mother is 50 years old, and only had a small cavity about 2 years ago. My family has great teeth. My current dentist also claims that I have excellent teeth. I moved from Dallas to McKinney, looking for a new dentist, so that I wouldnt have to drive to Dallas, to my current dentist (METROPLEX DENTAL). This SMILE MAGIC scheduled for me to have a "routine cleaning," which is 100% covered under my insurance (every 6 months). I repetitively made it clear to them that I wanted NOTHING else done, and that I would NOT pay for anything additional. They SAID they understood this, and that they would make it clear if anything else needed done, before I would be charged. I scheduled this appointment over 1 week in advance, and I had intentionally scheduled the cleaning the week before my destination WEDDING-- So this cleaning was very important, since I was going to whiten my teeth, after the cleaning. When I got to the office, the girl who was going to be cleaning my teeth asked me (very specifically) if anyone had ever done a measurement of my "pockets." I said no, but that I did NOT want to have anything done that would be an additional charge. This assistant REASSURED me at least twice that this was just part of the cleaning. THEN, after she "checked my pockets," she said that the head dentist, DR. J. REDDY (also the OWNER), needed to take a double check of my pockets-- All the while, never mentioning what was being done, specifically. (She did not even ASK if it was ok if Dr. Reddy looked at my teeth!!) This is normal when I go to the dentist-- Usually someone cleans or looks at my teeth, or does ex-rays (if that is what I am there for)-- And then the head dentist comes to "LOOK" at my teeth, to decide what to do. NEVER have I been charged for this. Then Dr. REDDY said that I would need do a 45- MINUTE procedure, or else my teeth were going to start falling out!!!! CRAZY!! By the way, it cost $1,179.00 !!! This is another reason this was such a SCAM!... What "procedure" is going to cost almost $1,200.00 , that you dont have to be "put under" for? (anesthetic), AND that would only take a mere 45-minutes?!?!? Only SCAMS!! So, I immediately refused the treatment, and said that I only wanted the cleaning that I scheduled and came in for, and DR. REDDY refused to do the cleaning. So-- because I was beyond frustration at this point-- and since I had a 20+ long list of other errands I needed to take care of before my destination wedding flight that weekend-- I asked them if they needed anything else, or if I was being charged for anything, and they very clearly said NO. So I rushed out to speed to Dallas to get a cleaning at my old Dentist, Metroplex Dental. What a relief... They felt so bad for me. (Great place, by the way). So then today, I get a BILL in the mail from Dr. Reddy, claiming that I was charged $95.00 for a "oral evaluation"!! FIRST, I had NO evaluation whatsoever. "Looking at my teeth," when you are supposed to be CLEANING them, is not a $95.00 evaluation. I begged them to do the cleaning and they would not. I am not paying for SITTING in their office while Dr. Reddy tried to force me to agree to the $1,179.00 procedure. Some dental practices, and specifically people, are pure CROOKS. Dr. Reddy would be one of them. She was very rude, horrible customer service-- But most of all CRUEL, insisting that my teeth were going to FALL OUT!! I actually had a NIGHTMARE about my teeth falling out, after this appointment-- NOT something that I wanted to stress about right before my wedding! BEWARD to anyone considering this place. It is a HORRIBLE NIGHTMARE. Please take advise and dont waist your time here.

Going to a Dentist after many years is not easy.But after a recommendation from a friend of mine decided to go to Smile magic dental. Dr.Reddy and her staff made my nearly first dental experience so smooth that my apprehension regarding Dentists that they are "scary" just myth now. She is extremely patient, discussed the findings and treatment in detail with options to suit my financial needs, answered my n# of questions very patiently. Very gentle , with little or no pain absolutely which I loved a lot. I have had my friends complain of pain ad soreness after the dentists appointment,I was totally unaware that I got any work done at in my mouth at all. Her staff extremely professional, very warm and welcoming. Only hitch is ,wish it was closer to where I live and dint have to travel more than 30 miles....!!

Incomparable is all I can say. This clinic is down right the best! Every aspect of Smile Magic Dental is perfect. Starting from the friendly front desk that works with you to make appointment based on your needs and schedule. Dr.Reddy was remarkable. Not only did she get the job done in the best and quickest way possible, she her staff completely walked me through what was happening and what we were doing. They identified all problems and provided the best possible solution. They always made sure I was comfortable and showed their best regards. Not to mention how amazing the prices are, they take all insurances and have an option for Care Credit. I can honestly say, that I will never be going to any other dentist in my life. Again big thanks to the team at SMD!

Dr. Nirupama Reddy inquired about my problem with a variety of questions examined my teeth gave me detailed explanation as to why the condition existed gave me tips on how to maintain the health of the teeth, gave me several sample dental remedies and cautioned me of what I could eat and should avoid eating. Dr.Reddy at Smile Magic is a wonderful dentist. She has a pleasant personality and a great attitude.Her staff was as well very friendly. I had a couple of crowns done by her and I am extremely pleased with the outcome. My husband who always dreads going to the dentist was very happy to be under her care.
