This dentist is good, except that they are way too soft and gentle to children. They even lie to children just to make them happy and not worried. When my child had sealant put on, the dentist said it was paint. My child was worried because he thought it was really painting art and color on the teeth, and he didnt want to because it would be embarrassing. They dont tell them they will do something that hurts in advance. My child just cant get over the suspense of wanting to know what they will do at the dentist. Since putting on sealant hurts, when the dentist said putting on paint again when they were actually just putting on tooth vitamin, my child started saying "but..." and this annoyed the dentist. Children miss out on negative news. They didnt tell him he had cavities, and I had to tell my child myself. My child gets worried easily, mainly about the future and suspense. This dentist is only making his worry worse. But I would think it hurts a lot less then other dentists. But my child cries before it every time not knowing what they will do out of suspense. It really annoyed me when they put chapstick on their lips, and he couldnt eat or drink because it got all over the food and mixed with the drink. My child dislikes this dentist, and for his personality, it is a very good reason to dislike it.

We have nothing but great things to say about Allen Pediatric Dentistry. Our son just turned 4 and has been twice for check ups. To start with, every person working at Allen Pediatric is SO friendly. I never feel like I am bothering them if I ask a question and its so refreshing to have an office staff that is smiling when you walk in. As for the wait time...it is great. Not too long and the waiting area is perfect for kids (it keeps our son occupied while waiting). When they take him back for his exam, they are so friendly and warm. The games and fun atmosphere near the exam rooms make going to the dentist easy and enjoyable. They really have thought of everything...even the coffee station for the parents :)! Once the exam is complete, they make sure to sit down with us and explain everything. We never feel rushed. Most importantly, I know that our son will be well taken care of! He leaves with a smile (and a toy :) )...which is all I could ask for. Our daughter will start check ups soon and we are so glad we have found a place that we trust with our kids. If you are searching for a pediatric dentist, then start here!!

Absolutely rave reviews for Allen Pediatric Dentistry!! All 4 of my kids have happily been patients here, so its been years! We have no complaints whatsoever! The staff was particularly patient when my son was really young and a bit afraid, so they let me sit by him while they did his cleanings a few times until he got more comfortable. He loved the TV on the ceiling that played kid movies, which really helped distract him while they worked on him. Plus, the video games, bright colored happy walls and decor, along with getting a balloon and choosing a toy to keep from the toy boxes at the end made it all the better for my son to help make it a positive happy place for him to come. Dr. Hunter and the staff are always friendly, professional, and so organized. The location is awesome, too. And I really like that they have the parent come to a consult room after each appointment to have a quick consult with the Dentist to review how the appointment went, see the XRays, and to answer any questions. This group couldnt be any better! You wont be disappointed. Best dental group ever!!

My girls (3 and 2) both had their first visits, and I was honestly fully expecting a traumatic experience. My oldest, especially, is very nervous about new situations like this, motorized noises, or strangers in her physical space...I was expecting multiple meltdowns. Completely not what happened! They were so enamored with the Disney movies playing, toys to play with, cool sunglasses, the balloons and toothbrushes and fun flavors of polish and tie dye xray vest, they didnt have time to worry about why they were actually there! Everyone did a great job of talking to them and making them feel comfortable the whole time and my girls came away from their visit telling everyone about all the cool stuff they saw and did at the dentists office. Thank you for making what couldve gone very differently an enjoyable experience for all of us!

I have been a patient of the practice since I was 5 years old and have received nothing short of amazing care and cleanings. They have been able to squeeze me in on last minute notice, which I have truly appreciated. The practice is so fun, colorful and inviting to kids of all ages. I wish I didnt have to "graduate" and go to an adult practice. The hygienists really did take the time and effort to clean around my braces, retainers, bars when I had them. Both Dr. Hunter and Dr. Coe would make recommendations to my parents and me that would result in my great set of teeth now. The entire front office staff was always so friendly, professional, upbeat and personable. Excellent experience, thank you so much!!

We have been going to Allen Pediatric Dentistry for over 15 years. My daughter (now 21) has always loved going to the dentist, and her little brothers ages 9 and 11 do as well. Every aspect of this office is professional, courteous and caring. We have never had a bad experience, or even a "less than wonderful one". They truly go above and beyond. Our oldest son fell out of bed as a toddler and seriously injured his front teeth. Dr. Hunter FLEW IN from Chicago. On a Sunday! Cutting her family vacation short. AND had support staff come in as well to administer care to our son. Simply cannot recommend this pediatric dentist office enough to any parent.

My daughter (6) has been terrified of going for her first dental exam. I told her it was time to go & she was very upset. From the moment we walked in her outlook changed & she loved all the fun she had in the waiting room. The hygenist was so sweet & gently walked her through each step. Not a single tear shed! She loved Dr. Hunter, too! My 2 yr old had his first exam in which he was able to sit on my lap & it was over in a snap. They were thrilled with their new brushes & "prizes" they got. When we left my daughter asked if we could come back again tomorrow!

Our visit to Dr. Hunter and Staff for our 3 year olds first cleaning was fantastic! Every person we came in contact with was so friendly and all spoke directly to the children at their level. This made our daughter very comfortable and allowed for an easy cleaning. Laura, our hygienist, was so amazing how she worked with our daughter, explaining each step of the process in terms a 3 year old could process. I would recommend this practice (and already did on my Facebook page!) to anyone! Im a little sad they dont see adult patients :)
