Without a doubt the best doctors and staff to ever care for my boy Rocko. For nearly 10 years Valley Animal Hospital kept Rocko healthy and alive. And when it was time to send my boy to the big dog park in the sky (his quality of life rapidly deteriorated since January because of diabetes) the doctor and staff were comforting and ensured Rocko passed away as calmly as possible. There will never be another Rocko but when the time comes for my family to get a another four legged family member I will trust no other hospital. Thank you V.A.H. for taking such great care of my buddy. R.I.P. Rocko Guzman, May 2002-May 2015.

Dr. MacManus is the most caring vet I have been to. He is great with animals and is great about keeping the owners informed of the animals care when they are hospitalized. Even on weekends and holidays he called us twice a day to give us updates on our dog when he was sick. Only drawback is he is located in Pharr, rather than McAllen. Despite his location we pass about 10 other vet clinics to take them to him. I have not had much experience with his partner Dr. Ruiz, so cannot really give an opinion either way on her work. We just always ask for Dr. MacManus.

Took my dog here. Plainly told the vets assistant and the nurses that the puppy had parvo. Separated ourselves from the main waiting room to avoid infecting other animals. Made us wait in the main waiting room just to tell us the dog had parvo and then made us leave out the side entrance to "avoid infecting other animals". We were the last ones there so the damage was already done. Found out from a friend who had taken her dog there the same time that 6 of the 8 animals in the office died of parvo not long after the visit, my dog was one of them.

The doctors and staff always give my pets the best care possible. I have been going there for more than 20 yrs and I wouldnt trust anyone else to take care of my babies. They have laser therapy which my 10 year old lab has been getting to help with arthritis pain and i am so happy he is moving around alot easier these days. Thank you guys for being the best!

Not only was I confident that my pet was given the best diagnoses and treatment needed, but the people that work there care just as much about your pet as you do. They show concern by the questions they ask and the extra helpful information that may be needed if a medical condition of your animal turns into an emergency after business hours.

Great place to take your dogs. Some services can be pricey. Love the fact that they call you a few days after your visit to check up on your dog. Also like that they call to remind you of your dogs upcoming appointment. Dont like that they close at 12pm on Saturdays. Also dont like that they have no emergency after-hours service.

My pug Chanel has been going here for almost 10 years. They have taken care of all my pets prior to her as well. I trust Dr Macmanus and his staff. Chanel has had several surgeries with him and they have all gone very well. I would highly recommend to any family or friends.

Wonderful caring staff and doctors! They treat my dogs with love and tenderness. They know their stuff! I appreciate that Im not pressured to get service thats not absolutely necessary. Oh, they recommend whats needed but acknowledge that its my decision, not theirs.

Great staff...and Dr. MacManus explained well.. easy to understand what/why the medication was necessary for my dog... my puppy is doing better now 1-2 days after its first dose of meds. Thank you Dr. M and your Staff for being true and gentle with my pup.

worst place ever i took my little dog and they wouldnt even look at her the staff said well maybe we cant see you dog why dont you try pet smart instead. WORST EVER PLACE DONT TAKE YOUR PETS THERE!

They are good, but what I dont like is that they want to add many things to the bill, they tell you your pet needs this and that and are very stubborn about it
