Worst experience! We brought home a 6.5 week old chi puppy on Saturday 8/6/16, brought him to County Line Vet on Monday 8/8/16 for his 6 week shots, but also wanted him tested for Parvo as he had spit up water a few times that day prior to his apt. We saw Dr. Pearson, and she informed me that his test was negative, and performed a blood panel which showed he was dehydrated. She put him on IV fluids until closing time when we were told to pick him up and take him to the animal hospital if he vomits again...therein lies the first problem-any vets clinic that truly cares about animals, wont tell you "good luck through the night, take him over there if theres any problems, its 5pm, were out"-which is basically what we were told. Took him to the vet hospital overnight where his condition remained stable, they were checking his sugar and other levels throughout the night. (These puppies are hypoglycemic, and in early stages need glucose) Took him back to "Dr". Fowler Tuesday morning around 830am for further monitoring and to continue his fluids. Around 1pm I receive a phone call stating that he wouldnt make it until 5 and was declining quickly. I took this information assuming they werent just giving him fluids, and checking his sugar KNOWING he had only had fluids for the last day and a half...she didnt. Yes, he was a sick puppy, but when he could have been getting stronger throughout the day Tuesday, he was getting weaker. "Dr." Fowler did not give him glucose until he went into SUGAR SHOCK, and was twitching and went limp (per the assistant, this was his "episode" that they found odd). His little half pound body was already under stress, and I am convinced that sugar shock episode, just made him so weak, he no longer stood a chance. I brought him home around 430 Tuesday afternoon, only for him to die @ 2:40 Wednesday while my 8 year old was petting him for his final breaths. This facility is a joke! Elizabeth Fowler is the most uncaring, neglectful vet we have ever dealt with in our life! So I am typing this review while I have a few minutes of my 8 year old NOT sobbing. Do not take your pet there. Elizabeth Fowler is only in it for the money, she doesnt give a damn about your pets. I want to add that Dr. Pearson seemed genuinely caring, along with Megan, the assistant. However, Dr. Pearson, having to leave @ 5 and tell me to take him somewhere else as they dont have staff, was not her fault as this is Fowlers practice. I will be sharing our very unfortunate experience through every outlet I find available. We will be switching our other, adult dog to another vet for all her annual shots. (I only marked 1 star, as that was the minimum for this to get posted. In actuality, she deserves nothing short of having her license revoked).

My pet doesnt like them. We recently added a toy poodle puppy to the family and we have never had a toy anything before. The puppy did not like the technicians or Dr. Long and was very squirmy. I assumed it was the dog. She later got scratched in the eye by my cat so off to the after hours clinic we went and boy what a difference in treatment. The puppy was calm and handled with calm care by all the staff involved - you would have thought it was a different pup. That was strike #1. Strike 2,3, 4 and on was when they scheduled my pup for her 3rd parvo vaccination just 2 weeks after her 2nd. This is not ok come to find out - there needs to be at least 3 if not 4 weeks between vaccinations. Her 3rd vaccination was given by a woman with the darkest circles under her eyes that I have ever seen and she seemed to be ... distracted. My pup also responded poorly to her... I have since gone to a different clinic and again saw a dramatic difference in the manner that my pup responded to the staff - arent vet clinics suppose to be run by pet people?! My pet doesnt like them and I dont either since I feel scheduling vaccinations 2 weeks apart is just plain irresponsible. (I have brought my adult pets to Dr. Long for a few years without any issue - they were always quick easy appointments. My point is that I was not unhappy with Dr. Longs clinic until I inadvertently was able to compare and contrast & when I looked into vaccinations and discovered I needed to reschedule her 3rd vaccination.)

I have tried three other vets in town and have returned to County Line because of the quality care and compassion my pets receive. Its nice to know all the workers there are "pet people." When my son took our kitten in and then just 3 months later she was unexpectedly killed, we received a condolence card signed by almost everyone. They are great at explaining things up front and give quotes for procedures so you can think and budget. There is no pressure to make certain decisions and they dont ever judge or criticize. I love that they consistently have events to bring pets and share in special occasions. All of our pets have been blessed and some have had their picture taken hoping to get into the annual calendar. Randy Foerrester puts all these fun events together and he is an amazing asset. I will return and highly recommend County Line Veterinary Clinic.

I love County Line. I recently adopted a black lab and took her to County Line to get her checked out and make sure she was healthy. The staff is awesome, from the front girls to the vet tech and the vet we saw. Other vet techs who werent assigned to Savannah loved on her if they walked by her. I had a incident happen over the weekend with Savannah and she got very sick last night. I took her to EPC in New Braunfels because it was after hours. County Line just called to check in on Savannah because they received paperwork from EPC and wanted to make sure she was going to be okay and if I needed anything or had questions. Wow, just wow. I wanted to cry because they are awesome for calling and checking in on her even though I had to take her somewhere else. I would highly recommend County Line Vet!

Dr. Long is wonderful also the rest of techs are too. Jennifer saved my cats life last May or June. She even came in on Sunday to check on him for me even though she didnt have to. The premises are clean and the front people are friendly. I have been bringing my 2 cats and 1 dog there for almost 2 years now and have never ever had any issues. The other comments are surprising but seem like one offs and not the usual County Line experiance. I will keep going there for all of my vet needs!!! :) Update 11/29/2016 I still love them!! I board my pets there too!! They are so great with my animals and I never feel pressure or dumb! Seriously the best Veterinary staff and Drs I have ever been to! And I shall keep coming!!

Weve used County Line for several services. They arent the cheapest in town, but their quality is one of the best. We use them primarily for their boarding services. Our animals always leave happy and we have never experienced a bad situation. We have felt like they will try to push certain things on you from time to time. We took our cat in for a hair loss/not eating problem and they tried to push a $400 ultrasound on us just because they were there that day with the machine. A little much, but their care was unmatched for our cat. They managed to get our cat eating again and we are truly grateful for that. Our dogs love the boarding here. I would love to see them get their dog run rebuilt in the back.
