I liked the doctor I saw. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. However, his staff/office personnel are lackluster and give the impression that they couldt care less about you. I bought a pair of glasses here, and since it was the first time I had to wear glasses full-time, I bought some nice frames and got some anti-glare on the lenses and other stuff. It wasnt cheap. Less than 8 months after I got the glasses, the frames snapped. I took them back, and had to hand over 30 bucks and wait 3 weeks to get them "warranty" repaired. Lo and behold, its a little under 8 months since I got those repaired, and my frames broke in the same spot AGAIN. This time when I went, I was told by the office worker that the warranty doesnt cover the frames themselves, but only the original purchase. Thats not really ideal, but I work a job where I have to deal with company warranties and I understand thats how it shakes out sometimes. HOWEVER, I am not going to shell out $200 to buy another set of the same crap-tastic frames that I now know empirically cannot last even a year. So when I asked what the office could do for me as far as helping me find other frames so I cold re-use my expensive-as-hell lenses, I was told "nothing". They made no effort to help me save any money, or get new glasses, or anything. I went down the road to a different place, and they helped me find a <$50 pair of frames and then ground down my lenses to make them fit. I was in and out in 10 minutes. TL;DR - The doctor is nice but thats about it. Dont buy your glasses here. I wont be going back, and thats squarely on the office staff.

Saw Dr Williams at both Murphy Eye Associates and Sachse Eye Associates. He was great very friendly and explained everything. Did not have any trouble with Murphy Eye Associates staff but when further testing was ordered it was ordered at the Sachse location. There was almost 2 weeks between my appointments and I called 3 times to try to get information on how much money I would owe when I came in. Each time I was first told that they would call me the day before my appointment and give me all that information. I told them I needed to have more time in advance so I could make arrangements and even asked for a Cash price as a worse case scenario. They told me that they would work on it and call me back in a few days... This was a week before my scheduled Friday appointment. Of course no one ever called me. I received an email 3 days before saying I would be responsible for the contracted price, but they did not know how much it would be. Unfortunately, although it should not be my job to call the office again for a 4th time, I came down with a stomach bug the day before my appointment and did not call to find out what my payment would be. It was 250$, when I told them I had called several times trying to get an amount that would be due and nobody called me back, she said "Oh Sorry". The office needs new staff or these Dr.s will not do as well as they could. I will not be returning to Sachse/Murphy Eye Associates.

First time going there and most likely the last. Its super close to home so I thought Id give them a try, even after all the mixed reviews I read. I usually give the new place/service a try and then I recommend my family to go. I obviously will not be doing that this time and although the office staff may think they did nothing wrong, its their lost battle because I was willing to recommend A LOT of people. The fact that its going to take 12 days for a follow up is ridiculous. When I asked Aracely (sp) to have the doctor call me back, she said the doctor doesnt return calls, but the office manager could. Well, if they are all going to be as rude and insensitive to their customers needs, then I think Ill go somewhere else for the eye care needs of my family. My son hates the 5 day trial pair of contacts they gave him and we need to take care of this asap so I can order his contacts and he not be blind in the meantime, but of course, they dont care about the details. The doctor wont return calls, but apparently we will reply to these reviews?!?! Lets see how long it takes them to call me back...if they even have the courtesy of doing so. So upset. And disappointed.

Havent been to an eye doctor for awhile, but an issue motivated me to go. Went on line to read reviews of a number of Eye Doctors. There are 2 reasons I went to Sachse Eye Associates. 1) I was impressed with what people had to say about Dr. Burnett and 2) It was really close to where I live. The remarks about the front office was a little disconcerting as I think anyone who deals with patients with eye issues should have proper etiquette, good people skills and provide clients the professional decorum they deserve. Any business wants their clients to return and if they dont, theyre "out of business." However, for the most part, I found the office staff to be attentive and professional. Smiles go a long way to putting people at ease. I particularly was impressed by Logan who seemed genuinely concerned for my well-being. Thanks Sachse Eye Associates. Looking forward to my next appointment.

Dr. Barnett is fantastic; however, like many other reviewers have stated, it is nearly impossible to get anyone to answer the phone. I had an issue a few months ago when I went to pick up my glasses (no one answered the phone, AND it took about 5 minutes for anyone to even come to the front when I walked in the door). This past week and a half, my fiancé has been calling every day during business hours as hed like to become a new patient, and he has not yet been able to get through. I honestly came on this page to see if the business had shut down. Its unfortunate because Dr. Barnett is great - knowledgeable, professional, honest, and kind - however, the front office end of things is surely causing him to lose business. My fiancé is now going back to his old eye doctor (which was not his first choice), because he has simply been unable to get through to even make an appointment.

Ive been here a couple times within the last 2 years. My first visit the staff seemed really disorganized and didnt seem very friendly. The doctor was fantastic. Dr. Barnett was very friendly and explained everything very well. There seemed to be a major lack of communication when it came to actually getting my glasses. After finding out that they had basically a whole new staff I decided to give them another shot since it does take a while to get everyone in sync and things running smoothly after something like that happens. I went back in for my annual eye exam this year and my eyesight had changed quite a bit so I had to get new glasses again and the whole process went a lot better, the Doctor was still on point and the front office seemed to be working better together and seemed to have a better form of communication this time around.
